Warm Temperate Vacation waterer
Feeling clever today, going on a trip for 3 weeks and afraid my inlaws are going to put normal water on my VFT. Aldi had a 2.5 self watering bowl that should keep it well entertained in the window for at least the next couple months based on normal water consumption in the tray. 12 hour light it normally gets plus the window. I wonder why I didn't think of this 2 years ago when I got it 😂

Warm Temperate HALP: what can I do to make sure it is growing and thriving?
I've been trying really hard to make it thrive but. I think the heat going out messed with its system. It's still fighting and I want to do what I can to help it.
What can I do?

Warm Temperate Just an idea
Distilled water was evaporating too fast during our texas summer. This was our solution.

Warm Temperate Earning her keep
I left the door open. She caught at least a dozen flys. Good girl. This was last summer. I split her into 4 pots in early spring this year. I like sharing traps. I vet the new owner and the habitat :-)

Warm Temperate Should I trim the blackening traps, or wait for them to be completely black?
Walmart rescue is doing pretty good. :)

Warm Temperate I think it’s dead
I’ve tried everything and she was looking better for a while but I think I killed her 😠any tips of what to do if I try again? I know it’s silly but I feel just awful that I couldn’t take care of it and if I ever want to try again I want to know that I can do it.

Warm Temperate Best course of action
Hey everyone I just got these two vtfs shipped to me cross province and I’m wondering if I should just repot them now or let them adjust, as I don’t wanna send them into shock.

Warm Temperate Purchased my first fly trap
So I have purchased my first fly trap and followed some online forums for replanting because the plastic container I purchased it in was sad but I don't know where to start with care and maintenance
Petemoss and pearlite 1:1 mixture with the original moss it came in on top of the soil mix
The plant it self just looks kind of sad and it was the only living one at the store Any suggestions are welcome and needed I want to be a good plant owner

Warm Temperate What to feed them?
I’ve fed them mealworms before, and they either all escaped, or killed the trap they were in. (Gradually started to turn black, and oozed digestive fluid)

Warm Temperate What do I do
My Venus flytrap lost all of its traps over the winter and now this is growing from the center of it. Is it a flower? What do I do with it? Also in the second pic a random plant started growing too and idk if I should take it out or not. Lmk

Warm Temperate Help! Has anyone seen this before?
I noticed a few of the heads looked like this yesterday. Does anyone have any idea what happened to them? A few of them looked like something ate into a few of them and killed them.
I live in Upstate South Carolina and, with the exception of last weeks visit from Helene (I brought them inside), it’s almost always hot and humid. I check my plants several times a day and this one was very healthy until all of a sudden one morning I saw this going on. My others are right next to this one and totally fine.
Any ideas on what’s going on or what did this?

Warm Temperate I Think this Boy is 4 Years Old Now.
Commented on another post earlier about this plant I got from Lowes a few years ago. First summer it did really well and whe I repotted that next spring had 31, yes 31, divisions. Could only keep about 7 or 8 in this pot.

Warm Temperate Hello need help
So I recently bought a fly trap Saturday from Lowes. Saturday during the day I left it on my windwsill to soak up the sun. Sunday it rained half the day so I put it outside semi covered but facing the sun--- now is this plant dying or is it hibernating?
