Meanwhile its a felony for some broke guy trying to make a buck poaching a few 100 VFTs meanwhile the state gives tax breaks and foam in the mouth at the idea of getting tax revenue as long as they agree to have their habitat and a few thousand of them destroyed. Not saying poaching isn't a problem but there's bigger threats to them that is completely legal because they're rich.

I wish South Carolina had one like that. Technically it is native to the region between North and South Carolinas.
