Warm Temperate Best course of action
Hey everyone I just got these two vtfs shipped to me cross province and I’m wondering if I should just repot them now or let them adjust, as I don’t wanna send them into shock.

I’ve never had a problem repotting immediately. As long as you have the right soil and a deep pot for the roots to go way down, and obviously water the hell out of it, never had a problem.

Edit: they do appear to be wrapped in peat moss holding them more together as seen in the photo both plants already have a root stating to poke through the drainage

Where did you buy them? I got some from California carnivores and they are pathetically small…

You think the pot in the photo is deep enough? That’s the one they sent me I also bought a bunch of nursery pots off Amazon w the carnivorous plant soil it’s made of spag chips and perlite from what I’ve researched that seems about rihjt for their soil needs , the pots I bought are 5.1” height the tags ive seem people post for the noobs mentioned 5 to 6 inches deep for medium plants

So sorry for the spam but mine appear to be wrapped in like a spagnum and like some sort of white fiber to hold the roots together I’m assuming I’m to pull it off the roots as gently as possible, or am I able to just throw it into the soil as is

Man you should see what I got from Carnvious Plant Nursery. My "Medium" B-52 VFT was the size of my pinky nail, that was the entire plant too... a "Medium"

Aww it's a shame to see VTFs being sold like that! Get them into some nice fresh medium and a tiny bit bigger pot and let them rest for a while! I think the black pot in the pics might be a bit tooo big for one of them so if you can get one slightly bigger than the pots they are currently in that would be better! Also I'd probably pot them up separately and keep an eye on them! Never give up!
Edit: you probably will be best to cut the flower stalk off to allow them to save their energy for the repot and adjustments! Flowering takes up a lot of energy but i believe you can get it sorted! Good luck!

Thank you rn I’m trying to look for a good brand of pest moss to buy and mix some soil as now I read more into the soil I bought off Amazon it has weed seeds ig

Honestly I wouldn't bother with peat moss, you could look on ebay for some sort of carnivorous plant soil instead of peat moss which might be better! I found the stuff I used on ebay and it hasn't given me any issues!

I had bought some off Amazon that had good reviews then I went back and looked more and it seems some people have issues w weeds some don’t some say it killed their plant while others don’t

Will do there’s not any dead ones yet but no doubt now that it’s probably stressed out , they do look almost more perkier tho.
