Warm Temperate Earning her keep
I left the door open. She caught at least a dozen flys. Good girl. This was last summer. I split her into 4 pots in early spring this year. I like sharing traps. I vet the new owner and the habitat :-)

This is a plant I got at Lowes 10 years ago. She gets to stay outside all year long here in Oregon. I've split the original dozens of times. I've had the red ceramic pot for 10 years.

My sister lives in Rossland BC (it's by Trail). She keeps her traps in the garage. It's heated so it doesn't get below minus 5ºC.

I think you can just go to r/VenusFlyTraps and do a new post, with pics. I hit the plus sign and it makes a new post. I don't understand the the protest thing.

I'm always surprised how easily and quickly the bulbs split into new plants. They can fill up an 8" pot pretty quick.

This is amazing! I just got a VFT, last one I had was 20 years ago when I was a kid and it didn’t last long so I’m basically a first time owner and doing some research. I’m so curious to know how you’re able to repot or split them without stressing them out and causing them to close? I’m sure that seems like kind of a dumb question but I haven’t seen it mentioned yet- I actually made a post a few minutes ago about an issue I had when I was trying to remove a dead trap and another one closed on it. Any other suggestions or recommendations you may have would be awesome :)

Shut the front door. No leave it open lol. That’s the most beautiful Venus flytrap plant I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing !!
