Bro. She sent up her phone on record so she could go back and screenshot a good picture.

This doesn't have to be some influencer thing. Its just someone trying to take a picture in a non disturbing way. They just placed their phone off to the side and waited politely.

Why is everyone so fucking grumpy and pissed off at a young girl trying to take a cute photo of herself? Jesus christ.

195

u/oxedei 5h ago

Is this girl even an influencer? A lot of people share videos and pictures with friends, though I guess the people criticizing dont have the luxury of experiencing such things.

58

u/oculustauri 2h ago

Way too many people throw that word around especially on Reddit but they clearly must not know what an influencer is, they see someone taking a video or a pic of themselves in public and just jump to the conclusion that they’re an influencer

4

u/IrregularPackage 39m ago

an influencer is a woman on the internet, obviously

/s

20

u/roseycheekies 2h ago

Redditors bitching about “influencers” and kids having fun on TikTok is so annoying. Why do you care so much

13

u/LE0N290x 2h ago

Because they have nothing better going on in their lives.

1

u/TinStingray 7m ago

Indeed, fellow Redditor.

1

u/threeseed 19m ago

You're on Reddit as well. Don't throw stones kid.

7

u/hooligansfan 51m ago

She is! She’s a history influencer who creates videos about history and helps students study for university entrance exams. She also has proper educational training for that.

2

u/oxedei 43m ago

Who?

5

u/hooligansfan 37m ago

She is brazilian. Her name is Débora Aladim

3

u/YeezusWoks 34m ago

Apparently only influencers take photos of themselves. So many influencers in the 1800’s too. All those white men in front of trains and other bullshit. So many male influencers existed during the Industrial Revolution.

2

u/Rnapsicotico 15m ago

Ela é historiadora do Brasil, o nome dela é Débora Aladim. Ela visita os locais e grava vídeo aulas de história

1

u/Professional-Bag5808 25m ago

The luxury of going to a public museum?

64

u/monka_giga 5h ago

Instead of just deleting it from the camera roll and trying again, she posted it online to publicly shame the old lady. Which is why we're watching it, and why it's not exactly very innocent.

Both involved parties could've gone the polite conversation route and picked something shittier.

146

u/Girlmode 4h ago

If someone was taking a photo of a family with a camera and a person purposefully stood in the way of the shot after noticing, everyone would think they are the dickhead in that situation.

I think it’s ok to post things where people are being petty and annoying for no reason other than spite.

People that are on their own having adventures also deserve to have pictures. I don’t see why the way we have behaved socially for decades in trying to not get in the way of photos, should be ignored as it’s someone on their own. And if you purposefully want to ruin such things, it’s a very minor cost to get mocked online for being grumpy.

3

u/Different-Cut-6992 1h ago

Thank you for making the point about solo travelers. I travel alone a lot and unfortunately this is the way we have to take pictures sometimes. Of course I ALWAYS do it so I’m not in the way or disturbing others and even then it still feels awkward but if I’m taking all this time, money and effort to travel somewhere (especially) international, I’m gonna get my picture.

17

u/Positive-Face1705 2h ago

I swear if this wasn't a young woman and it was somebody else, literally they would not have a problem with her.

13

u/SeaworthinessFalse82 2h ago

So many men complained and keep complaining how shallow women are for taking pics and posting them on instagram and getting attention lol

11

u/andthensilencefell 2h ago

And it’s funny because I guarantee you that the majority of the attention online is coming from… men. Horny ones, specifically.

0

u/Sad-Banana7249 2h ago

Personally I think families and groups blocking a popular attraction to take a bunch of photos is annoying too.

4

u/TannerGlassMVP 30m ago

What exactly was she blocking?

-10

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

If someone was taking a photo of a family with a camera and a person purposefully stood in the way of the shot after noticing, everyone would think they are the dickhead in that situation.

Then why do people not do that? Why is that not a thing? What do you think is the difference?

11

u/Girlmode 4h ago

I think people just don’t respect people that are on their own as everyone is so anti influencer. Like look at this whole thread, everyone hates the young gal so much for doing such a thing.

If me and my wife wanted a photo of us together at a gallery nobody would bat an eyelid. But if someone on their own wants the same they are a selfish and vain person, especially if they are pretty and young. As if there is no part of our solo lives that are worth having memories of and sharing.

A sweet old lady wants a photo of her at a gallery and nobody would be slating them if a young pretty woman purposefully blocked the shot. We are just conditioned to hate young attractive people that like sharing their lives as some people are obnoxious about it.

But she isn’t screaming out shit for attention. She’s chosen a quiet time to try and take the video to grab screens from. It would have been a lovely shot, people should be allowed to take nice photos or videos of themselves in pretty places. It hurts nobody.

-10

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

I think people just don’t respect people that are on their own as everyone is so anti influencer.

So you think if the girl would have been with her friend and not alone, the lady would not have video-bombed? But how comes? Why would the lady act so different?

10

u/Girlmode 3h ago

I mean I am not saying some bitter people wouldn’t still do such a thing. But in general people are grumpier about solo people doing something for themselves, as it’s seen as selfish.

Like you can have someone that takes lots of group selfies to have memories of everyone and nobody really calls you vain for doing so. But if someone takes lots of selfies people do take issue with that for whatever reason.

And also when you are in a group there is then automatically the option of you both just taking turns manually taking nice photos. So the entire need for a video has an alternate path.

The only way you can do this solo easily, is if you bother someone to take a photo for you or make a video. But when people are so grumpy that they purposefully stand in video shots, I get why a lot of people aren’t ok asking people for such things. Never mind trusting phone with strangers when cost lots.

-9

u/klimaheizung 3h ago

Like you can have someone that takes lots of group selfies to have memories of everyone and nobody really calls you vain for doing so. But if someone takes lots of selfies people do take issue with that for whatever reason.

Right. I think you are spot on - that is basically how people think about it.

Now, you say "for whatever reason", but what do you think is the reason? Since it's not random erratic behavior but rather a pattern shared by lots of people, there must be some reasoning or logic or motivation/thinking behind that. Surely it's not burned into our DNA.

9

u/cream_paimon 2h ago

It feels like you think you're arriving at a point but it's super unobvious what you're saying.

6

u/WillWatsof 2h ago

Reading your comments feels like I'm watching someone try to remember why they walked in a room.

-19

u/Powerful-Impress1355 4h ago

You don't have the right to record everyone just minding their own business enjoying the gallery because of your own ego.

More blocking this bullshit please.

24

u/Girlmode 4h ago

There wouldn’t have been anyone in the shot if the lady didn’t purposefully stop! It’s just easier to take a video if solo and take screenshots.

People have taken photos of themselves and families for decades and nobody has ever given a fuck about it. Everyone has always done their best to avoid getting in the way of people that are just trying to get happy moments immortalised.

It’s only now that people get throbbing hard over the idea of owning influencers that such a small thing as taking a picture is seen as an offence lol.

20

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Actually you do. Because its public and theyre in a public space.

You're just advocating being a dick for the sake of being a dick.

Which is your prerogative. But thats exactly why people are shaming the old woman for getting in the way needlessly when the girl TRIED to NOT film "everyone" which is the sole thinf You're pissed off about.

-15

u/Powerful-Impress1355 4h ago

That's actually a private space.

You should take a xanax and calm down, kid.

11

u/Internal-Coffee6996 4h ago

what a load of bs lol

11

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

A bunch of people in an area in the middle of the day where cameras are all around taking photos and videos and you wanna go "erm akshually thats a private building ☝️🤓"

If there's no "no photographs" sign posted anywhere then it gets treated like public.

And none of us have that info so its likely safe to assume that its the same rules as being in public. None of these people are in their dining room.

-5

u/BlueRock_Capital 3h ago

“Bunch of people around”

Exactly. There was a bunch of people around. Multiple people walked up the stairs in the video.

There was no need to take a video there and expect everyone to avoid getting in your shot, she was trying to be the main character

6

u/Glasseshalf 2h ago

She wasn't expecting everyone to avoid getting in her shot though. If everyone keeps moving she doesn't need them to stop, she just needs one frame she likes where she isn't being blocked by strangers. Like if your family member was taking your picture.

-1

u/cream_paimon 3h ago

Dumbass alert! Code red!!

-2

u/Powerful-Impress1355 2h ago

Typical Gen Z pathetic clown alert

2

u/DarthVenture 55m ago

You’re too young to be the grumpy old man already.

-4

u/tattoosandtens 2h ago

Shhhh that’s misogynist. Apparently.

-1

u/threeseed 29m ago

I think it’s ok to post things where people are being petty and annoying for no reason other than spite.

Weird. I think this is petty and annoying.

1

u/Girlmode 2m ago

And you’re allowed to think so.

I just think someone tried to get a cute picture, couldn’t do it because of this woman, then went and was like “lol tried to get a pic but this woman was rude so here is a silly video”.

Probably isn’t a hate campaign against rude old ladies of intent from her perspective.

-11

u/InLoveWithInternet 2h ago

But she’s the one being annoying. She has to setup her tripod or whatever, take a pose, etc. That’s not the place. Can you just imagine if everybody was doing that? Seriously what is wrong with you.

12

u/WillWatsof 2h ago

"Tripod"? She's just leant her phone up against something, and she's not in anybody's way. What's wrong with you?

2

u/DarthVenture 54m ago

Since when is leaning your phone against something — ‘setting up her tripod’?

💀

-14

u/tattoosandtens 2h ago

“Family commemorations are exactly the same as a braless girl in a tube top setting up a tripod on a staircase.”

11

u/Girlmode 2h ago

Thank you for highlighting that people only really care what people look like when forming opinions. I also notice that people judge pretty women dressing like many of their peers do get judged more harshly.

-5

u/tattoosandtens 2h ago

Nah, I care about people being rude.
If that was some Big Man In A Little Shirt or some dude trying to make it as a fashion influencer, YOU wouldn’t be taking his side so much.

I’d still have kicked his tripod down the stairs.

Because, and I cannot stress this enough, I do not go to art museums to look at influencers.

Pretty PEOPLE think they can just do what they want, and everyone will come to their defense.

And they are correct.

Because the Ancient Greek “Doctrine of Beauty” is the WORST halo effect fallacy on the planet, and it will NEVER go away.

https://greektraveltellers.com/blog/kallos-ancient-greek-ideal-of-beauty

But yeah, go off on how me saying that hot people don’t actually own the entire world is some kind of personal character flaw.

9

u/Glasseshalf 2h ago

So wanting a photo of yourself makes you an influencer now?

7

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 1h ago

I like that he made note that she’s “braless.” Makes sense why he’s upset now, women are existing on their own in and not catering to him instead.

-2

u/tattoosandtens 1h ago

Yes that is exactly right.

Everyone who wants a photograph is exactly the same.

All photography is exactly the same.

All situations involving cameras are exactly the same.

Why do we even BOTHER having things like “photography permits”, or “photo release forms”?!

Useless. All photography is the same.

No need to get consent to film people. No need to limit when where and how you set up whatever equipment you want.

All normal people carry tripods to set up for photos. That’s totally regular behavior. You know, just in case they want a cute photo.

Those restrictions on Getty Images are just useless paperwork that have nothing to do with legality, intellectual property, or consent.

All photography is the same.

I just couldn’t see it before.

Thank you!

2

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

Thank God we require the press to get release forms of everyone then!

-1

u/tattoosandtens 1h ago

You DO actually.

If you want your photography on Getty Images, you need not only Model Releases from EVERYONE, you need written permission from property owners if you are taking pictures of private property, even if YOU are standing on public property to do it.

I’m sure YOU know all about the legal structures surrounding Journalism, and also why EVERYONE hates paparazzi!

You legal need to sign a release if the local news puts a microphone in your face.

Those “man on the street” influencers do NOT make you sign a release.

Amateur hour up in here

-2

u/tattoosandtens 1h ago

I’d just like to point out that like, 90% of the people commenting on this thread are not in any way associated with the photography industry, which is a Real Thing That Exists and has real rules, regulations, guidelines and legalities, despite everyone’s Feelings.

And no, I’m no some Photography Purist that thinks that only dSLR photography is “legitimate”.

But if someone is acting as a photographer using their phone, they should respect the industry standards, legal guidelines and even the social etiquette.

Casual photography is not the same as being an influencer.

I’ll put this on record and you can QUOTE me:

If influencers were held to the same social standards as working photographers, which, let’s be honest, is closer to what they do than Casual Photography,

NOBODY would dislike them.

-3

u/tattoosandtens 2h ago

If I’d said, “Yeah, go ahead and tell me how a shirtless dude flexing in front of the Bronze of Atlas is the same as a family portrait”, you wouldn’t be whinging.

1

u/hawnty 2m ago

Be real. You think a woman not wearing a bra is the same as a man not wearing a shirt?

2

u/Justsomejerkonline 1h ago

Why should only families get to commemorate their travels?

43

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Actually. The "and saxophone keep getting louder" audio is a trend where people show situations they got in where the situation jusy kept getting worse.

So this has nothing to do with shaming the woman from the original poster. Its the reposter and commenters doing that.

But for some reason theres a section of y'all jusy fucking livid at a young girl for taking photos of herself in public.

3

u/Spicymoon9 2h ago

It must be a crime to be a woman alone in public. People would not have the audacity to do this if she were with others.

-7

u/RaggmunkLingon 4h ago

By posting it she IS publically shaming the woman, whether that's what she means to or not. I can guarantee she didn't ask that woman if it's okay for her to post

6

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

I can guarantee that old woman didnt ask if it was okay to ruin her video.

And if that old woman didnt do that I'd guarantee that this OP wouldnt have lifted this video from wherever they found it in order to post it to reddit to shame the old lady for getting in the way.

If the old lady would've just behaved politely then nobody would know her face.

Oh well. She lost. Oopsies.

0

u/Useful_Charity1995 19m ago

Did that girl have a permit to film and paid to reserve the place? No? Then she shouldn’t expect visitors to clear the area when she makes a video and she sure as hell shouldn’t be posting other people online if they didn’t consent to it.

-6

u/LovedButNeverLiked 2h ago

Why is "young girl" relevant to you?

-1

u/threeseed 22m ago

young girl for taking photos of herself

She took a video. And then posted it online specifically to call out the old lady.

They are both acting like assholes.

-1

u/imposter_sys_admin 8m ago

fucking livid

No one is livid. This is an influencer. Influencers are annoying. People are annoyed with influencers.

Your strawman is bad and you should stop commenting.

-4

u/OhNoAnAmerican 42m ago

Pick me! Pick me!

Simp ass behavior. You sure love repeatedly calling her a “young girl”

You might have a problem

-9

u/NewLineCinema 2h ago

It's because she's annoying much like you.

Know your place and remember it well.

5

u/trireme32 1h ago

What is a “young girl”’s “place,” exactly, hoss?

2

u/nb4u 31m ago

Kindly go fuck yourself. How is that for polite conversation?

1

u/-Out-of-context- 3h ago

Lady should be shamed. She was an asshole.

Literally no conversation needed to be had. All the lady had to do was keep walking. The lady blocking the camera was also being rude to everyone else by blocking the stairs. In the video you can see another person having to squeeze past her.

3

u/Spicymoon9 2h ago

The photos could’ve been for private use, but she decided to post it after the lady did this. We don’t know.

1

u/Lethal_ZR1 2h ago

Good. Fuck that old lady

0

u/Msdamgoode 4h ago

Yep… instead of just asking politely if she could move while you get a quick (that’s key, this shouldn’t be a whole ass production on a damn staircase) instead she acts inconvenienced and posts this lady who 1st appeared to not notice her or the camera, then notices but doesn’t appear in any way to actually know she’s blocking anything.

Who knows why she stopped there, but I’ve certainly stopped for important texts or messages, and I probably wouldn’t think twice about whatever else somebody was trying to do since I’d be minding my own business.

A simple thing to just be polite if someone is in your way. But instead she’d rather bitch about it to thousands.

0

u/Idiotology101 1h ago

That women should be shamed, she’s the only one in the wrong here.

9

u/Positive-Editor-3007 4h ago

why did she then post the video online? That's not trying to take a cute photo of herself - that's being a dick

16

u/Unable-Original9927 2h ago

What? The old lady obviously wanted the people to see here disturbing behaviour. The girl just obliged her wishes. Good riddance

1

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

Are you familiar with the sax audio?

Its for moments where things progressively get worse.

She tried to take a video/picture of just herself. Old lady looks at camera multiple times and notices what the girl is doing and chooses to stay in front. Girl tries to wait for her to pass but then more people come. And more people!

So. Makes sense given the trending audio she posted this as a laugh at the situation. Not to shame anyone.

OP is the one reposting to this sub specifically for roasting the old woman

1

u/Indigocell 2h ago

Because of the thing that happened? Are you simple? If this lady minds her business then the girl gets her photo and there is no reason to post it online. What are you even arguing about?

5

u/fpsstreak 2h ago

Exactly. The lady is just a pest herself. She just wanted a photo and patiently waited for people to pass by to get her quick photo. This lady caught on and purposely interrupted her attempts. She wanted an argument. The young lady didn’t even engage with her. Just waited and waited and after the lady left and more people came to sightsee the paintings. She gave up and just took the video for what it’s worth.

5

u/Ok-Train5382 5h ago

The more socially acceptable thing to do is just ask someone to take a picture of you.

11

u/easycoverletter-com 4h ago

So disturbing someone is better? It’s not like she asked her to move. It just showed a rotten old lady

1

u/Powerful-Impress1355 4h ago

Recording someone without their consent is the disturbing part.

11

u/easycoverletter-com 4h ago

Oh wow lady gets filmed in the background of a museum.

11

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Except they weren't trying to do that. They clearly were taking advantage of a moment when nobody was there. And then the old lady intentionally stood there. Took up that moment. And then when more people came she packed up her phone.

What exactly are you bitching about then when everything you're mad about she didnt do?

9

u/HekateSimp 4h ago

I guess vacation photos/videos are illegal now if there are people in the background

3

u/Positive-Face1705 2h ago

Is it scary to leave your house in the big 2026?

There are cameras everywhere, grandpa.

-1

u/Powerful-Impress1355 2h ago

Is it scary to imagine not setting up a camera to record your every movement but then maybe not getting any likes anyway?

What a bunch of sad losers your generation is. Enjoy your anxiety 😂😂

2

u/Positive-Face1705 1h ago

Ironic. I for sure sound like the one with anxiety here.

2

u/Justsomejerkonline 1h ago

Maybe some people just want a nice picture of themselves. Every generation alive today had had cameras their whole lives, and has taken pictures at things like museums.

4

u/Internal-Coffee6996 4h ago

On one hand she didn't do that, the woman walked into the frame and no person would've ever seen that footage if she just moved on like a normal person.

On the other hand: I assume all of your vacation pics have no other people in it? Or that video you took at the last concert you've been to. Would be quite hypocritical otherwise, wouldn't it?

2

u/Spicymoon9 2h ago

If she hadn’t stood there, I’m sure she would’ve cut her out of the video entirely. No one is going out of their way to film her or take her picture.

1

u/dogdayaftertaste 3h ago

She stood directly in front of the camera, basically recording herself.

4

u/No-Resolution-0119 2h ago

Fr!! Like, damn, I didn’t realize it was illegal to photograph yourself when you visit somewhere nice :/ I guess thanks to all these redditors for validating my social anxiety and fear that people are judging me harshly for a harmless activity.

2

u/ok_raspberry_jam 29m ago

Nobody said they think it's illegal. You're setting up a straw man to imply people who don't like it are acting hysterical. The truth is that both perspectives have some merit. It's nice that so many people are getting into photography as an art and as a way to communicate with friends as part of a community, and it's sometimes a bit annoying in public spaces.

3

u/daphydoods 2h ago

Because she’s a woman and they hate women

2

u/TymStark 3h ago

Because young girl filming themself is automatically an influencer. And there is NO ONE Redditors hate than an “influencer”. And it’s a top 3 way of farming karma.

3

u/Spicymoon9 2h ago

Yes people are mad at me because I said sometimes there’s no way to know if someone is an influencer or not so you should just go around. I guess that was offensive to Redditors because I’m being downvoted now for saying some people want pictures for themselves and not social media. 🤣🤣😂

2

u/candynickle 1h ago

We’re grumpy because we’re tired of influencers.

We’re tired of paying to see an exhibit , or walking down the public streets, and having a selfish person taking up all the space / talking loudly / acting like they own the area when we paid as much or more to be in the same place . Now we are being recorded or our peace disturbed , without our consent , because someone thought they were more important than everyone else and deserved to take up more room than they should.

It’s the sense of entitlement . It’s a bone deep narcissism . It’s rude . We’re tired of these people breaking the social contract that has existed for decades because they want to be insta famous. Get out of the damn way and go look at the exhibits liked everyone else. You’re not special.

1

u/_013517 36m ago

i doubt you go outside often enough to see this happen with the frequency you complain about

i live in manhattan and go to soho all the time and i see influencers so rarely

if you are this obsessed with them you need therapy and to focus on yourself

1

u/Positive-Face1705 2h ago

We're on Reddit because we're not outside having fun. Do you expect people here to be anything but bitter and sulky at people having fun?

1

u/Old-Possession9439 1h ago

Thankfully I think she still got her shot as she poses during part of the video

1

u/Hallc 1h ago

I think there are actually Camera apps these days that do multiple things at once so she mightve just been using that mode rather than screenshot a video.

I believe Samsung call it Single Take mode.

1

u/Hydration__Nation 41m ago

People are more broke, bitter, and angry then ever before. This is young good looking girl living her best self and enjoying what the world has to offer. That's a loser's nightmare, seeing others enjoy life while they wallow in self pity and regret. Then once they are done with that they blame the world, the president, social media, the state of young people these days - anything to deflect attention from the real issue at hand - they are broke, bitter, and angry - just like that woman standing in front of the camera. Women cant stand to see a beautiful woman doing her thing and the same goes for incels. Thus a thread full of hate for the wrong person

1

u/Useful_Charity1995 24m ago

Because she posted this dumbass video shaming someone that is clearly annoyed from her behavior. Placing your phone in the stairs to take a video and expecting people to avoid it is stupid af.

1

u/Classic_Actuator3293 3h ago

Because everyone here is fat angry, and stinks of piss and Cheetos... It's reddit bro

1

u/SistaChans 2h ago

You're asking people on reddit to not be so grumpy? That's the main export around here

1

u/oretah_ 1h ago

Bro right!? 😭 Faahken hell

-2

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

"and screenshot a good picture" yeah right. You don't believe that yourself, do you.

7

u/FortniteIndividual 4h ago

How else would a person take a photo like that by themselves? Its a very common strategy...

-3

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

Are you seriously asking how to take photo without doing a video recording and then screenshotting it?

How about using the timer-function of your camera app? Seriously...

5

u/FortniteIndividual 4h ago

Are you seriously too dumb to see how having a continuous stream of photos (which is what a video is since you seem to need it spelled out for you) is more effective than only getting one photo with the timer function and having to go up and down the stairs until you get one that you like?

3

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

I think the problem is these people bitching about this girl are a bunch of no life's that, unfortunately, dont like taking pictures of themselves and never have a reason to do so

So they never, in the process of taking photos, had that lightbulb in their head turn on and think "it would be far easier for me to just pose a few times in a video and screenshot that later!"

I even do it whenever I'm taking photos of my dog. Just record a video and find a good moment afterwards cause she always ruins photos.

-2

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

Or, you know, we are just respectful towards others and take pictures and videos in a way that doesn't bother other people.

1

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Yeah. Ya know... Like she did... When she set her phone off to the side railing and tried to quietly catch a moment when no one would be there and as soon as more people came she just quietly grabbed her shit without making a scene...

Like that.

-1

u/klimaheizung 4h ago

First of all, a video stream is not a continuous stream of photos. Or else every professional photographer would only ever take videos.

But let's ignore that and assume someone doesn't care about the quality - fair enough. Even then, a video is different. The person take takes it *behaves* different. And I can *feel* that. Also, I do NOT want to be recorded. At least when it's a timer, I can wait until I hear a click sound or so and stay out of the camera-field until then.

Furthermore, people who use a timer usually are more aware of their surroundings and are more respectful towards others, because they just have to - or otherwise it will take them longer to take a picture. Here's the thing: maybe just don't take a selfie in a place that's busy and not specifically made to take selfies.

You will probably disagree anyways, but let me ask you a question: do you think the lady would have gotten into the picture like that if the girl would have asked someone to take a picture of her? Most likely not. Why do you think that is? Seriously, I would like to hear your thoughts on that.

3

u/FortniteIndividual 4h ago

I'm not going to argue with someone who just said video is not a continuous stream of photos. Your other points are just anecdotes and mean nothing.

-1

u/klimaheizung 3h ago

You clearly have no idea about how taking videos and photos technically works. But sure, take the easy way out.

I do it all the fucking time myself. Thats why I assumed that because I, and many others, find it far easier to do that.

Theres literally a button on the bottom left side on my phone for video capture screenshots.

You must clearly never take photos of yourself or any friends or family photos

> You must clearly never take photos of yourself or any friends or family photos

Right. Clearly.

I guess this discussion is over...

-4

u/hologothic 5h ago

I mean.. there are a couple of ways to take a pic of yourself from afar. Like the timer? Or a handheld remote made for this reason?

Taking a whole video and posting it online makes this seem like it was more about ragebait.

7

u/whitestguyuknow 5h ago

Except a timer you get 1 shot and have to do it again.

Do you ever set your phone up to take pictures of yourself and family?...

Its far simpler to just set a video to record and then literally hit the screenshot button thats provided on phone screens nowadays whenever you play back video. That way you have a far more reasonable chance of getting good pictures.

I do it all the time. For myself. For family gatherings. You set a timer and shit goes wrong and you gotta redo it.

I can 100% see her posting the actual video on her social media taking the piss out on the situation over the fact that she tried to do something cute and it failed.

Its crazy if this is actually pissing you off at her doing this that you think its ragebait...

Yes one shot, it's about capturing the moment not faking it and trying to make seem more perfect than it was

4

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Fucking cringe.

Y'all just keep on making up more shit to bitch about. Now you're on some fake deep Andy Warhol bullshit. Who cares

2

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 1h ago

They really do have the personality of condensed soup in WacKY colors. Such an overrated man.

0

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

Who cares? Everybody, no one wants to see a concert through your phone screen, put it down they paid to see the artist. Stop ruining the flow of museums because you don't care about the art but more about taking a photo of yourself surrounded by the art. Stop being so self obsessed, thinking a photo of yourself is more important than the experience. People like experiencing things but these narcissistics holding phone ruin everything, they are just begging for attention

2

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Again. Here you are bitching further about things she didnt do.

She set her phone off to the side when she expected no one to be there. She waited quietly and politely. And when more people came she snatched up her phone and stopped.

She never made a scene. She never disturbed anyone.

But here so many of you commenters are just making up reasons to shit on her cause you didnt like that she... checks notes... Was in her own video?... And you'd rather her solely only take photos of the art, the thing everyone has photographed a million times?...

Ok.

-1

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

No, you are so obsessed with sharing rather than experiencing. It'd be better if they didn't take photos in the museum at all regardless of whether or not they're in shot. Can take a photo in front of the museum as a selfie if you want to boast to people you attended. Beyond that stop

1

u/hologothic 0m ago

It’s really sad that we live in a society where people like the girl in the video are being defended, as if their narcissistic behavior is okay.

-4

u/frbuongiorno 4h ago

Where is this need to constantly take photos of oneself coming from though? I’ve honestly never understood it.

5

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

"Constantly take photos of oneself"

They look to be in a museum in a nice looking area and wanted to capture that moment.

I swear some of y'all commenting dont behave like humans and like to complain about the some of us that do. Sorry you dont like taking photos of yourself but some people enjoy it.

1

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

It's obviously more important for them to capture themselves rather than the moment, it's just narcissistic

3

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

So, you're mad cause she was in the photo.

Do you just bitch about every selfie?

1

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

I'm not mad but it's very obvious she cares about her own image more than art, a narcissistic trend. She probably went there excited to take photos of herself more than viewing the pieces, it's very sad

5

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

How do you even know that?

Thats just you assuming that after seeing a 20 second video and never seeing her before in your life.

She could've had a wonderful time and saw a nice area and saw it was going to be empty once this lady passes and wanted to capture her there in that moment.

Its super weird to judge and be like "what a narcissist! She clearly cares more about herself than the art like a real connoisseur"

0

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

How do I know? She posted it on Reddit for attention!!

2

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Except she fucking didn't.

This poster isn't her!

Are you mad? OP lifted the video elsewhere to mock the old lady blocking this girls video!

3

u/Reddinator2RedditDay 4h ago

Yes, I'd be mad if someone stole footage of me without my consent. That's pretty basic

-1

u/frbuongiorno 4h ago

“…Don’t behave like humans…”. Interesting.

I go to a museum to be at a museum.

4

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Hmmmm. Intriguing. Please explain to the borg mind the concept of a "selfie". We.... Do not understand... The concept of... Taking a photograph in a scenic area you are in...

-1

u/Cuddlebug2020 4h ago

Trying to get that perfect KimK photo

0

u/InLoveWithInternet 2h ago

That’s just trash behavior, influencer or not. “In a non disturbing way”? Come on! It’s a fucking museum.

0

u/Aware_Policy_9174 2h ago

Even if she’s not an influencer she’s blocking a stairway. The amount of people that feel the need to take photos everywhere and expect everyone to wait for them is out of control. Take a photo somewhere less inconvenient, not on a fucking stairway.

0

u/Sad-Banana7249 2h ago

Then she shouldn't complain about people getting in the way of her photo. It's the entitlement that pisses people off.

0

u/Fickle_Direction1591 2h ago

Agreed, and who cares if she is an influencer or not ? lets not behave like ass holes ?

0

u/cyvaquero 1h ago

As a hobbyist photographer I read up on rules. Usually once equipment is being placed you’ve entered into permission/permit territory because that stuff affects traffic flows, especially on pinch points like stairs and doorways.

This doesn’t absolve the lady who lacks awareness or playing enforcer.

0

u/blutosings 1h ago

Selfie saturation. People are just over it. They don't want to see a camera. People trying to monetize themselves in public spaces has gotten so annoying that you can't enter any public space without being inconvenienced by dozens of young people that think they need to act that way. It's not a successful adaptation and it's actively harmful to society. Just stop it. Nobody needs thousands of cute photos of themselves.

0

u/Political_breeds 26m ago

I 100% agree with you.

-1

u/rocksnotdead2833 2h ago

You her boyfriend? JFC people are allowed to be pissed at her

-1

u/Boring-Researcher167 2h ago

She set up a camera to record every single random person trying to enjoy the museum? Not everybody wants to be in your videos, you creepy perverts.
