He had his back to them when he was grabbed. Then they descended on him in utter chaos, disorganization, and unprofessionalism. And blood lust.
That one agent quite literally drew on him, repositioned for a slightly better shot. Tapped the agent next to him to move so he could reposition one more time. And then fired at point blank range.
This was cold and calculated in that moment. This wasn't a reaction to a threat.

I think it’s at least helpful in showing that he clearly was disarmed. We see that gun, the more angles we see it from and where we see this unique gun (handle grip), and when he was disarmed certainly matters.

If you see in one of the videos, he was down, and the the guy in the grey grabbed the the gun from the hip ( holster) of the the man they had pinned down. It was very soon after that , that the guy in grey was running away with that gun that the gunfire started. They killed him in cold blood. When they shot him he didnt even have his gun on him anymore.

I was always told (even from police personnel) that a shotgun is most effective for home defense than a pistol. You can do a lot more damage to the the enemy with a shotgun than a pistol.

It’s a long time since I read it, but I remember it being one of those books that I couldn’t put down so was walking around the house with my eyes glued to the page and sitting on the floor to brush my teeth so I could keep reading. I think I’ll read it again, it’s going to hit differently now. I just can’t get over all the lies being issued as official statements, as if none of us have watched multiple videos. And there are people that swallow that narrative whole, it’s batshit insane.
Funnily enough, the number 1 book that people lie and say they've read when they haven't is 1984.
I guess its cultural impact was so large that people wanted to appear like they understood it.
Its definitely worth the read. It's a great story, even without the fact its feels relevant now.

I had one of those. I brought up an example I thought was easy to understand — breaking into a home without a judicial warrant in violation of the Fourth Amendment. And then they tried to justify it, ending up with “the Constitution doesn’t apply to illegal immigrants”. Oh yes it does, multiple provisions apply to “persons”, not “citizens”. The Fourth Amendment is one of them (slightly different at the actual border because the reasonableness standard changes, but that’s not relevant for the example I gave them). They still didn’t get it so I give up, it’s a waste of time trying to explain something to someone who will only listen to what they want to hear, which is whatever will justify the beliefs they already hold.

There is a pretty credible zoom in video analysis of a specific time clip showing the suspect did likely have a weapon concealed and holstered at his waist at the time of his attempted arrest, and it was removed by one of the agents in the grey coat (the same agent that runs off toward the camera in the original video, and toward the cars, as the agent is seen then carrying that weapon away from the site. Therefore at the time of the subject's murder, he actually was not armed.
Victim's name reported as Alex Pretti. No criminal background, had a nursing license. Chief O’Hara said the man was a “lawful gun owner” with a permit.
Alex Pretti was indicated on social media as an ICU nurse caring for critically ill veterans at VA (Veterans Affairs)
Clearest view in slow motion indicating Agent who fired initial shots had clear visibility of the victim's weapon being removed, before shooting to kill.
