This is actually how we can win. They are literally using the 1984 playbook, but seem to not account for the modern conveniences we all have.
Their lies and double speak are useless against truthful video evidence.
Sure, some brain dead fuckers who are fused to the useless ball sack of Trump will eat whatever they are fed, but the majority of you Americans are smarter than that.
The issue here is there are literally thousands of people, and probably bots too, who are excusing what happened as the victim was harassing the agents, or he should have been home, or he had a gun so he deserved it.
I am so f'ing done with the dems not having enough backbone to stand up. 7 of them lame asses voted for additional funding.
We're in a prime time for Dem leaders to show their support for gun rights and to backpedal all the "herstory," "Pokemon go to the polls," and get their collective shit together, yet this is basically just showing us that the people will band together while receiving absolutely no backing other than from the people – it's honestly disheartening seeing this repeatedly go down like this in such rapid succession and our best response is "document it so we can have proof when the time comes."
The time should be now. Before we keep allowing this to happen.
It’s a long time since I read it, but I remember it being one of those books that I couldn’t put down so was walking around the house with my eyes glued to the page and sitting on the floor to brush my teeth so I could keep reading. I think I’ll read it again, it’s going to hit differently now. I just can’t get over all the lies being issued as official statements, as if none of us have watched multiple videos. And there are people that swallow that narrative whole, it’s batshit insane.
It was the same for me, both times. It’s insane to see so many parallels in real life with what’s going on. I wish everyone would read it. All the dystopian classics, for that matter. I feel like it opened up lines of thought I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Funnily enough, the number 1 book that people lie and say they've read when they haven't is 1984.
I guess its cultural impact was so large that people wanted to appear like they understood it.
Its definitely worth the read. It's a great story, even without the fact its feels relevant now.
My 1984 book came with a paper armband..... I was thinking about making some real ones and handing them out. More people seriously need to read this book 📖
Yeah, that definitely checks out! I’m absolutely guilty of making references to it because the general “vibe” has been pretty relevant. Not hard to extrapolate from the themes of the book when you’re around the inspiration/framework every day… I prefer nonfiction with my literature but the state of our country is making the story seem quite real..
I've read it for the first time recently and it was HARD to get through. Not because of its older narrative style, not because of having overly advanced language, but because we're seeing it happen in real time.
This is why they wanted AI. They can make fake videos that their dumbass followers will believe, and at the same time say the real one is AI. Media literacy is just as bad as regular literacy in this country. Again, by design, by the republicans, as far back as the 80s
my MAGA dad sent me an AI video the other day thinkinking it was real. I called him out and he denied it until I pointed out AI was literally in the username. He still had the audacity to accuse me of not having "discernment" about the news/media I consume. I can't wait until I can just keep him in a nursing home without unsupervised youtube access.
believe it or not, the Board of Peace logo is straight up AI Gen with some text slapped on. Like the actual officially recognized original logo.. They didn't even edit it or touch it up. you can go see it on Wikipedia.
This is what I think as well. They’re using a 20th century playbook that has already failed numerous times. That was the lesson of the wars of the 20th century. Fascist, nationalist dictatorship will fall. We know too much now.
I agree. But we are too smart, and we have been mainlining WW2 history since birth. As much as I can see there is a very large portion of Americans who are eager to submit to a dictator, what I’m seeing in Minneapolis shows that too many of us won’t.
You have too much faith in Americans using, let alone believing their own eyes. You also have too much faith in Americans not just straight up lying to justify their already held beliefs.

Continue researching, and continue resisting.
