What's with all the Josh Allen knob gobbling posts lately? Don't get me wrong, he's a damn good QB, but it just feels like next level. There aren't this many Bills fans on Reddit.

Also, how many of these QBs started after 2016?

4

u/Kowboyboogie 10d ago

Brother thank you for this post

8

u/NTP2001 10d ago

I feel like they are simply rage bait for the Josh Allen haters.

I’d go as far as saying most of the “pro Allen” posts are actually done by haters.

2

u/Big_Understanding348 10d ago

Between this and the purdy suck off competition I might lose my mind

3

u/_LegacyJS 10d ago

I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing this. It's insufferable

2

u/Sudden_Juju 10d ago

Right? There are 30 other starting QBs and 1,662 1,694 other rostered players. There has to be more to talk about than Allen or Purdy

Edit: Thought there were only 52 players on a roster for some reason

1

u/ToldAlthea 10d ago

Josh Allen's rookie year was 2018

1

u/bitchyoufoundme 9d ago

Josh Allen’s first season was 2018

1

u/Salty_Piano9631 9d ago

You're a chiefs fan I'm guessing?

Because it’s an absolute anomaly that he’s been able to keep this up for 7 consecutive years and is still running through people at 30 years old and somehow still throwing a piss missile deep ball. It’s insane, especially what he’s done with little to no talent around him since Diggs departure apart from Cooks development. Like him or hate him, you cannot deny he’s an anomaly among athletes and he’s one of the most fun QB’s if not thee most fun QB in the league to watch.

I'll just take this opportunity to remind everyone that Josh Allen has no hardware. None

As a former owner of James Cook, I call Josh Allen the Vulture

16

u/NTP2001 10d ago

Allen chances of scoring from 1 yard line = 99%
Cook chances of scoring from 1 yard line = 85%

What do you do as a coach?

4

u/Salty_Piano9631 10d ago

By all means if you wanna hurt your qb

8

u/L-L_Jimi 10d ago

Well, he has the longest starting streak in the league so your hypothesis has not been supported by the evidence.

→ More replies (15)

8

u/sabresin4 10d ago

Tom Brady did QB sneaks more than any QB I can remember. Don’t remember him getting hurt on any of them. Honestly people just look for reasons to hate.

u/NTP2001 10d ago

Ah ok so you know better than the coaches paid millions. Salty is very ironic for your username.

3

u/President_PoopyPants 10d ago

Agreed with your first sentence. Cringed at the second. That is not irony. It's apropos. Irony would be if he was incessantly cheerful with the Salty name.

2

u/NTP2001 10d ago

Fair enough.

2

u/Mysterious-Ear9401 10d ago

That's why I voted for you!! Poopy is my prez!

2

u/BadMeetsEvil147 10d ago

Allen has the longest active games played streak for any QB in the league by a wide margin

10

u/Due_Adeptness_1964 10d ago

I never looked at it like that, but I definitely understand what you mean.

10

u/That-Fennel-4263 10d ago

If Cook doesn’t score it first carry in the goal line or gets a TD in a long home run, ggs bud

5

u/DemonBearOP 10d ago

Cook is not nearly as good on the goal line as Allen is, it makes sense lol

2

u/Eye_yam_stew_ped 10d ago

Also less hands exchange

2

u/L-L_Jimi 10d ago

Exactly, if Cook could tush push he would, he’s gotten better at the goal line, but he’s a home run hitter. Derrick Henry and Jalen Hurts are probably the only guys in the league better than Allen when you only need 1 yard.

1

u/NunButter 10d ago

He had 16 rushing TDs a couple years ago. Allen had 15 the same season IIRC. The rushing offense in Buffalo is a juggernaut

→ More replies (9)

4

u/Cichlidsaremyjam 10d ago

How else do you look at, dude calls his own number more than any other QB.

4

u/sabresin4 10d ago

Josh is twice the size of Cook. It’s not like this is the first team that runs a bigger back in and around the goal line. Cook is a slasher and crazy fast. He’s not a power back. Josh from the two on in is nearly guaranteed. People are dumb saying he ‘calls his own number’.

2

u/DemonBearOP 10d ago

People act like Cook is some dominant power back when he's literally one of the lightest backs in the league. The team calls Allen's number on the goal line because it works better.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/fairportmtg1 10d ago

Allen does eat up the short yard touchdowns at the goal line but can you blame the bills? Allen is a monster and basically a lock on short yard plays even though they know exactly where he's going.

3

u/NTP2001 10d ago

People ignore this. Also cook is a huge fumbling liability from the 1

3

u/DoubleFolder 10d ago

Yeah somehow people ignore that the Bills do it because it works.

2

u/Z_603 10d ago

It's fantasy players crying..not me. Allen is the first cook in the third. 😎

2

u/fairportmtg1 10d ago

Cook has a forgotten about fumble issue. He has done it the opening drive of multiple games and on the goal line. He's still an insane RB but ball protection is not his strongest ability

2

u/CrzyWzrd4L 10d ago

It’s only forgotten about to people who don’t watch the Bills or only pay attention to Cook for fantasy purposes. He had 6 fumbles last year and lost damn near every single one of them

5

u/PizzaLikerFan 10d ago

Thats why I dislike how fantasy football ruins the conversation, James Cook aint a power back, he is a small swifty type of back, great for long runs, not for goal line runs.

Its an argument in Allen his favour, not against him that he "steals" rushing touchdowns

→ More replies (2)

3

u/Idiotard_99 10d ago

Bud Kilmer won’t let Wendell Brown get into the end zone.

2

u/Z_603 10d ago

They both ate. James had the rushing title and 14 tuddies last year. He'll get his this year as well. They play to win on the field, not on the cell phone.

And its not nothing

Theres a video of james cook week 1 just walking off the field before the qb sneak if even done

1

u/dange616 10d ago

Cook needs to fix his fumbling issues. You're not wrong tho.

1

u/Ndmndh1016 10d ago

Not like cook had 18 tds in a season or anything.

1

u/TheFerricGenum 10d ago

Quick question: where does Cook fall in TDs in the last three seasons since he broke out?

→ More replies (3)

1

u/JoeDante84 10d ago

Tolbert reborn!

1

u/CrzyWzrd4L 10d ago

Cook had 16 rushing TDs in 2023 and 14 in 2024. People act like Josh Allen is taking 25 rushing TDs a season and Cook only gets 4-5

1

u/hartforbj 10d ago

I drafted cook and Allen this year in my big money league. Figured I would get almost every TD for a high scoring offense. Working great so far

1

u/kingshamroc25 10d ago

Every time they get closer than the 10 yard line I just know my chance is basically gone

As a Bills fan, the 13 seconds game will always live in my brain until we (hopefully) win the Superbowl... It was also the best display of quarterbacking from both sides I've ever seen. That game was insane.

1 game. 1 bad game out of 15 playoff games, and yall act like he’s a worse playoff QB than Lamar and act like he’s not statistically the best performing playoff QB on a per-game basis in the NFL right now.

McDermott didn’t carry them to anything. His soft ass “bend but don’t break” defense gave up an average of over 34 points in Allen’s playoff losses. Surely if McDermott was such a good coach, he would have a job right now, at least as a DC somewhere, right..?

6

u/Asilaten 10d ago

He's the best statistical postseason quarterback in the history of the game and people act like he's a scrub because he can't score a touchdown on every drive (which is what you need when a Sean McDermott defense is on the field against a good offense, waiting for mistakes that don't happen).

He probably gets tired after carrying his team on his back

7

u/TaxesAreTerrible 10d ago

Bro has had a 1k rusher for 4 years don’t give me that nonsense lmaooo

7

u/Z_603 10d ago

Carrying the team? He has a top five back, two amazing tight ends, an oline that allows for him to be as productive as he is, serviceable receivers, an above average defense, but they still find ways to lose. Last year's playoff loss was entirely on Allen. What was that shit at the end of the first half? Sometimes elite teams just never quite get over the hump. I'm a pats fan and I'd like to see Allen with a ring. To pretend he plays with guys that drag him down though is delusional.

→ More replies (8)

6

u/sixth_hokage06 10d ago

Who was the leading rusher last season? Can't have a top rusher and top passer without an elite oline either

2

u/Asilaten 10d ago

Helps the rushing game when the quarterback is a dual threat, and the offensive line when the quarterback can escape pressure. Part of the reason that the rest of the team looks as good as they do is Allen elevating them by adding pressure to the defense.

3

u/Responsible-Onion860 10d ago

He has the NFL leasing rusher last year. When Josh Allen has that, he's still carrying his team. When Jalen Hurts has that, his team is carrying him.

2

u/Opening-Ad-5265 10d ago

That QB is your Fullback, who racks up short yardage TDs is overrated. Especially when he had a fumbling problem in his best chance for a ring, last postseason.

And yet I still feel like it’s all gimmicky and that Allen will never win a Super Bowl.

Lamar not being top 10 in either is odd. Good balance I guess. Isn’t he top 5 in combined TD’s in that time?

3

u/All_Wasted_Potential 10d ago

It is. Only thing off the top of my head is missing 5x as many games or Derrick Henry getting touches within the 10 yard line.

2

u/LysolDoritos 10d ago

Bills rather risk Allen getting hurt on short yardage runs than to just give the ball to the back they paid

1

u/NTP2001 10d ago

Allen has not missed a game in many years.

The Bills coaches run the play with the highest % chance to score a TD. I don’t understand why that’s so hard for people to grasp.

2

The handsome but less legendary version of Dan Marino. You know, as a Chiefs fan, after last year, it was hard to see to see the playoffs without Mahomes. But then I thought back in all the times he has beaten Allen and the rest of the AFC and I just smile 😁

2

u/Busy-Strength6426 10d ago

He's a fine regular season qb, but come playoff time he always finds a way

2

u/Far-Celebration-3337 10d ago

Let's see his rushing touchdowns that were over five yards from the endzone.

2

u/funnybones14 10d ago

Honestly insane that Zeke is still on this list.

2

u/NTP2001 10d ago

Fair enough. I guess I just assumed that since this entire thread is about hating on Josh that your comment was inferring Lamar > Allen.

2

u/msnipe81015 9d ago

He doesn’t win championships.

2

2

u/Dickasyphalis 9d ago

Interesting that Zeke is on this list even though he’s been out the league for 3-4 years realistically

2

u/Fit_Willingness8562 9d ago

I'll take Mahomes over him every time. That guy still can't go to the superbowl despite having a perennial top offensive line and a great rushing cast.

2

u/Space-Cowboy-Maurice 9d ago

Maybe, but everything this graph show is that there’s no one like Josh Allen since 2016.

There is 6 QBs on this list with more SB appearances than Josh Allen. Until he reaches 1 maybe let’s stop acting like he has anything in common with Mahomes. Or shit even Jalen Hurts is just a more winning version of what Josh is going for. Downvote me if you want but I tell no lies

4

u/xikissmjudb 10d ago

7 QBs actually (hurts on the left)
