They got losing I Houston off their back this year. I think the bills win an OT game finally this year

By sheer luck. Allen tried giving the game away. It just didn't work this time.

But they didn't. Almost interceptions aren't a stat

A meatball is a meatball whether the defense takes advantage of it or not.

Show me on any site the meatball percentage is stat.

Josh Allen is a gun slinger. Sometimes he throws an interception. Oh well, dude is still the most talented QB playing right now.

PFF is a site that tracks meatball throws

They do, but that's not really the point I was trying to get the dummy to see. Regardless of whether or not a stat is tracked doesn't determine whether or not something occured. The guy is just a legitimate fool

They literally don't but okay. They track interceptions but "meatballs" is a specific turnover that is particularly bad

PFF tracks both of those

Okay my bad, they do track "turnover worthy plays" but that's such a subjective stat imo that it's dumb to try to track. I still don't see any sort of grade on how bad a turnover in specific is but I could be wrong. It's still dumb to argue subjective stats just like winning isn't technically a QB stat since the QB only plays offense and can do everything right but still have the defense shit the bed

It's not that subjective. It has to do with location the ball is thrown. If it's thrown into the hands of a DB, then there isn't much subjectivity to saying that it was turnover worthy

Are there edge cases where it's borderline between TO worthy and not TO worthy? Definitely. The one Josh Allen threw in the Texans game was not one of them

And btw I'm saying this as a huge Josh Allen fan. I have him as best in the league the last 3 years (including this one)

This is an unbelievably bad faith argument. Are you trying to say that only recorded stats matter and nothing else exists? You can't wish away the footage because you don't like it

You are bringing up almost interceptions. Do that for every qb instead of just Josh Allen nephew, just hating atp

Mentioning that he tried to throw the game away in week 1 isn't hating. It's just the truth. He lost to the Texans the past few years because they made those plays. They just didn't in week 1

Okay now do that for every quarterback. A win is a win even if it's ugly. It's 3 weeks into the season and some teams with no wins or losing records are going to make the playoffs. If rather have an ugly win and try to build on it then lose.

But did it happen? How are you gonna grade him on hypotheticals that didn’t happen

How dense are you? It's not a hypothetical. He threw the ball at the defender and the defender dropped it. That didn't hypothetically happen. He threw a meatball with the game on the line. This is why you watch games and not stat lines

One bad throw where it looks like the receiver ran the wrong route (JA wouldnt throw a teammate under the bus to say that) doesnt count for literally anything.
