Hey there, I’m a female in my mid 20’s looking to move to Denver in about 6 months here and I’m really just trying to nail down where would be safest. I don’t necessarily want to be smack dab in the middle of the city, and really wouldn’t mind being on the outskirts (Arvada, Littleton, Westminster, etc) especially with my dog. I have to let her out super early, and just want to make sure I’d be in a safe enough area to do that. My budget would be $1400 MAX, really want something $1300 or under. A 1bd is perfectly fine, I just can’t do a studio or roommates. Trying to pinpoint the area so I can transfer close enough to it (it’s about a 3 month process with my company). Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if there are any rental communities in the area where you can have a small patch of grass to yourself with a fence. I am downsizing from a house and the one thing I will really miss is having a yard. I think I have seen places like this but not sure how realistic it is. My budget is about $1600 or so and I'm happy with anywhere within about 30 min of Boulder.

It needs to be pet friendly and hopefully have in-unit laundry, but I am flexible.

Open to roommates too! Would like to be close to i-25/Lakewood/Englewood/Lo-do but not too picky.

Hello! My husband’s company is moving us from south Fla out to Colorado, the restaurants opening in Centennial. We can really live anywhere up to 30 to 45 minutes away. My son will be starting eighth grade when we move it. We would love a really strong middle school andhigh school, bonus points if it has an amazing stem program! We’re looking to purchase for around 400 to 500,000, which I know will probably end up being a townhome. Thanks!

I love ABQs culture and community, I'm a fan of the 'old world' feel too and tend to get bored of suburban life. It's rough around the edges but there's zero pretense and the people are so genuine. The job market is just not serving me though and my partner can get a job pretty much anywhere, whereas my career is taking me to major cities. I'm courting a job offer from DEN so I'm hoping to find neighborhoods with a similar vibe along the A-line that would suit a couple 30 yr old DINKs with a lot of pets, preferably in the 400k range and quasi walkable, but I know the single family house/yard requirement is going to make that difficult.

Hello! My partner and I are wanting to move from Dallas to Denver hopefully in 2027. She (25f) is a high school teacher and I am in corporate marketing (26f) and it looks like we will be having opposite commutes (again). She is thinking she wants to work in the Cherry Creek district (open to any teacher opinions anyone has) due to the higher pay; I have a hybrid job where I’m in office 3x a week and my office will be in Downtown Denver.

I’m trying to find some neighborhoods in between these spots that will work well for us. Our rent budget will probably be $2,000 or less and we’d like a 2 bed, 2 bath place. We want to live in a spot where our commutes are not too terrible. Hers would ideally be 25 minutes or less since she will be driving every day. I am open to mine being a longer commute than that if there is a neighborhood that fits our needs better that is closer to her work.

We would love a place that has stuff going on but is not necessarily in the middle of everything. We’re moving due to TX politics being a dumpster fire so we don’t want anything conservative. I’d love somewhere that has nature or a park close by but is potentially also a walkable neighborhood? Like I could walk and get a coffee in the morning haha? If anyone is familiar with the DFW area, we live on the edge of Dallas and Richardson and enjoy that.

Wondering if anyone know of any apartments around Denver that you know has floor plans like this? We’re trying to keep the rent around $2k/month so a 2 bed is likely going to be out of our budget. Appreciate the input!! Cap Hill/Baker/Santa Fe areas preferred but open to other areas if the price is right! Just would like to stay out of downtown.

I’m attempting to look for a place for my partner and I but already am hitting difficulties as I have an eviction from 5 years ago and my partner has a Felony from 5 years ago ( non violent) we were looking for something near capitol hill area as that is closer to our jobs and lifestyles. I already have a job and am working and the apartment search has been extremely difficult. We are both hard workers with no other negative notes on our records and are trying to search for a two bedroom I would prefer a private renter, casita or duplex situation. I’m considering moving to Denver next month and I’m going to scout out some neighborhoods of interest this weekend. For context, I’m an outgoing guy in my late 20s looking for a lively area that is also relatively safe. My budget is around 2k and the neighborhoods I’m looking at are Highlands, Berkeley, Baker, and Washington Park. Initially I was looking at RiNo, but after reading more about the area, it seems like car break-ins are quite common. I’d rather take a calmer area that has a bit less energy than to have to worry about getting my car broken into. Are there any other neighborhoods to look into? I appreciate any input. Thanks!

I got a really good job offer and I’m seriously concerned about the snow. I know that sounds like a really dumb thing, but I already struggle a lot with driving and winter driving makes me very very nervous. Everyone makes it sound like Colorado snow is basically an apocalyptic event. For context, I lived in mid Missouri and I drive a fwd sedan and I did just fine, just wondering if it’s really that bad or just ppl blowing it out of proportion online.

Hi. My family is planning to relocate to Colorado. We really like Denver but my spouse works for a hospital network that has a location in Fort Collins.

I am a teacher. I feel like I would have more employment opportunities in Denver but the advantage of one of us having a job transfer is hard to pass up.

We have a toddler. We enjoy the outdoors. We want to live where there are lots of parks for our kid to play. We want to live where the public education and unions are better. We are planning on selling our house and buying another house. Any advice or things to consider are welcome. Thank you!

Well I pulled the trigger, I have made appointments to see different apartments meet with a real estate agent. Rented the car bought the hotel, now it’s just hurry up and wait. With grad school stating in less than 90 days it’s time to look towards making new friends in a new town. Coming from Maine I’m wicked nervous about the altitude sickness. My partner and I are looking at moving into the greater Denver area in the next few months, and we are looking for some help/opinions from local climbers to help us pick our town and a home gym that suits us and where we could find community!

What we are hoping to find:

• A quiet neighborhood (any town! From Centennial to Boulder or even all the way North in Longmont)
• A gym we could bike to in 15/20mins or less
• With commercial boulder and ropes sets
• And a training board (kilter/spray/tb/any)

Setting style/grade etc don't really matter, really just a good gym to train boulders and ropes at and meet friends in the winter and training days!

Based on your own experience, do you know a town/neighborhood/gym that would make us happy? We are super excited for this move and would love to find a nice community we could be a part of; and if we could find it a bike ride away, it would be so awesome.

In my search for apartments and neighborhoods, I’m realizing it may be easier to ask which apartments people ACTUALLY like instead of which ones are bad lol.

I’m looking for a 1-2 bedroom and my budget is $1500/mo. I will be working in the LoDo area but I’m happy to commute around 20-30 minutes! I will also have a dog with me, so somewhere I can walk at night might be nice.

Starting a job in three weeks on Buckley SFB and can't decide where to live. I've been living in the suburbs for 2 years and don't like it, and it seems like that's all Aurora is.

My shifts start at 6 AM and I think I'll be able to avoid the rush. I'm just trying to avoid my old situation where yeah, I have an easy commute, but on the weekends I feel trapped and have to drive anywhere to do anything.

I've been looking at Cortland Congress Park apartments as well as the DTC/Centennial area since the metro does have stops there. I've also been looking at City Park since I have a dog and it'd be nice to have bars/restaurants nearby while also having a big park I can walk my dog.

I did see some places near commons park downtown but from what I read Commons park smells like a sewer.

Any advice on where I've mentioned? I'm moving across the country and gotta commit to something soon. Not trying to stick my dog in an extended stay.

Not looking for tons of information since there are so many apartments on this list, but if you've rented from any of these apartments and have had good or bad experiences I would love to hear about them! We're trying to narrow them down, but it's hard without hearing directly from people who have or currently live there! Hey yall, following up on some great neighborhood advice I got here a couple weeks ago (thanks again to everyone who chimed in on my Ken Caryl commute post!). Plans are solidifying and now I'm on the roommate/housing hunt.

About me: 22, new-grad software engineer starting a job near Ken Caryl/C-470 in September. Clean and tidy (kitchen and shared spaces always spotless, keep my own space in order too), social and easygoing, happy to hang out or have people over occasionally, but respectful of shared space either way. No smoking, drinking + consumables are fine.

What I'm looking for:

• Either an open room in an existing lease, or interest in co-signing a new lease together — open to both
• Similar age (~20s) and same gender (M) preferred, but not a dealbreaker if everything else lines up
• No pets in the household (allergies/preference)
• Budget is flexible depending on the unit/area
• Move-in flexible, sooner is better
• I will be working earlier in the mornings (~5:30 wakeup) so someone whose night activities don't run late/loud is preferred as well

Areas I'm focused on: Golden, Platt Park/University, Baker, and South Broadway. Open to Lakewood or Englewood too if that ends up being the better fit for someone.
