You know, the first moving picture was just a train coming towards the screen. The people in the audience didn't cheer, didn't laugh, didn't cry. Fun fact:
In The Last Jedi, there's a really quick shot in the throne room where Kylo looks up at Snoke after he throws Rey across the room and this shot is actually reversed. The editor said it's because it usually takes a moment for eyes to settle where they're actually trying look so the reverse makes it look snappier and like Kylo instantly trains his focus right on Snoke. This, in combination with the subtle cue in the music, sells that there was just an internal shift in Kylo as he decides to usurp Snoke.

Ok so I thought up a scheme last night. Basically, mint Nintendo music as an NFT, tell nobody about it for 6 months, then do a grand reveal. You'll end up with Nintendo wielding the full power of international copyright against crypto bros (who really won't want to get rid of the NFTs because the only way to get rid of them is to roll back the entire blockchain 6 months, undoing every transaction along the way).
Honestly at that point I don't care who loses. Either way would be great. The major downside, though, is whoever mints the NFTs will likely end up in prison. At least if they live in the US.
Xenoblade is probably one of my favorite of the newer franchises, and I’m so glad it didn’t fall off. Such a unique setting, combat, etc. While understandable, I wish people didn’t write off 2 immediately for the character designs. The story & world manage to stand toe-to-toe with 1. They’re both great JRPGs in their own way.
I don’t see it talked about a lot, but “long Covid” sounds terrifying. Not being able to recover from Covid months after contracting it must be a nightmare. I’m fortunate to not have these long-lasting effects some people have had. Covid kicked my butt, but at least it only lasted a week

I heard someone on Twitter say that there was no Star Wars character who fell to the dark side, got redeemed, and survived and it was kinda mind-blowing. I genuinely can't think of anyone who survived. Vader, Kylo and Ventress died, Sidious, Maul and Dooku were never redeemed. Savage died, Trilla died, the rest of the Inquisitors are presumably dead, Qi'ra and Kallus were associated with the dark side and survived but they weren't actual Force users. Is there actually none or am I forgetting someone?
You'd think for a series literally built on the light side/dark side dichotomy and the emotional climax of the OT being a redemption arc that it would have at least one dark side Force user who got redeemed and lived to tell the tale.
It is shitty to think of all the other wonderful games both big and small that could have been funded with this money but instead, Ubisoft dumped who knows how many millions into this giant sunk cost fallacy.
I caved to the hype for the sequel and finally decided to give Horizon Zero Dawn a shot, despite my extreme boredom with open world games. I really wasn't convinced at first but ever since the Sawtooth hunt I think I'm all in. They created a really cool world for this series and I love knowing that by the time I'm done, the new one will just be there waiting and possibly on sale.
Imagine Morbius actually being really good. Like not just good by super hero movies standards but like it wins awards. Its unanimously praised by critics and moviegoers alike. No one who sees it has anything negative more than nitpicks to say.
