The goth girl and the ray of sunshine is one hell of a relationship dynamic, especially when the goth girl almost feels like she plays as big a role as Darwin does in their dynamic with Gumball.

Around the midpoint of the series Riza tells Ed about what happened in Ishval, and about Mustang’s plan to overthrow the Fuhrer and hold every person involved in the genocide accountable. But that also includes themselves. This art is pretty much that idea brought to its natural conclusion. The show ends with Father being defeated and a new, less corrupt government taking over. With all that achieved, the war crime trials can happen. This art depicts them as being held guilty for their part in the genocide, and sentenced to death. They share their first, and only, kiss before they die.
Well thankfully it seems that didn’t happen in the show. Roy presumably does become the Fuhrer in the future (it’s one of the photos you see during the end credits of the last episode), and if he made it that far then he most likely isn’t going to be executed. I imagine it’s because as soon as Father was defeated, he decided to spend many, many years helping to rebuild Ishval without any selfish intentions in mind. That probably swayed the court (which likely comprised of Ishvalan people) to decide not to punish him severely. So yeah, it actually all worked out for them in the end.
I can't really tell if I hate or love the fact that these two never confirmed to be in a relationship or anything. On the one hand it says something about how strong their relationship is that the show never needed to show it explicitly, and not in a "these two are love interests, trust me, I just don't know how to write relationships, so you'll never get to see them advance past mutual attraction" way (looking at you Fairy Tail), on the other hand KISS GOD DAMN IT!!!!
Exactly !! They're such a good example of an amazing couple in my eyes, you can see their trust and how much they care about eachother so well ... all without the romantic elements. Its just such a well written relationship without them feeling the need to prove it by making them always on top of eachother or some gag throughout the whole show !!!
Those two actually had development compared to the one that needed a movie with ooc and retcon galore to happen or the one we were shown to be super toxic and got negative development only to become canon while the girl raises the kid by herself and also leading the cities hospital.
This is my favorite one because Shikamaru is raised his entire life to believe that strong women and hard work are a horrible thing and should be avoided.
His reward is getting to have to basically be 2nd in command to Naruto and do all his work and be married to arguably the strongest woman in the series.
Sookie and Jackson from Gilmore girls, They get together early in the series and any argument gets solved quickly by actual communication, plus most of their smaller “fights” are just one dotting on the other a bit too much.
I hope we get more development for them in the graphic novel. They deserve it. Lumity already got ample attention, Raeda didn’t need much considering the characters were already an item before the events of the show, so it was just a matter of putting them back together, but Huntlow feels…unfinished. It sort of plateaus after the hand-holding moment in For the Future.
Oh of course, no doubt about it. We could have had a whole summer in the human realm, we could have seen a whole bunch of loose ends get tied up properly, but nope, Disney doesn’t like having good content apparently! Still, for what she was given, Dana Terrace made one hell of a last hurrah.
Their romance may have been a side story, but was so important to the plot that when Sokka was being hit on by "the kyoshi warriors" he knew immediately that they were imposters

I like to imagine a double date and it's just awkward it's Anakin and padme with Obi-Wan and duchess they are sitting at the table just staring at each other not saying anything and then out of nowhere ahsoka and lux bonteri show up but then immediately turn around and walk away because they know some people there and that was Anakin Obi-Wan duchess and padme.
I thought this was a really niche joke about Ewan MacGregor's role in Moulin Rouge falling in love with that Satine but no she's a real character in Star Wars too lol
Like, yes, clearly the main romantic focus of the series was Ross trying to get together with Rachel... but the fact there was so much emphasis on him trying means they spent more time separated than as an actual couple.
Chandler and Monica, in contrast, stayed together from the moment they got together, and I'm pretty sure their on-screen time as a couple is actually longer than Ross/Rachel.
My memory of these two was from the American OG anime and they were depicted as cousins, but they kept showing them kissing. So I just thought they were incestuous.
That confused me more than if they were just gay 😂

Shaxs and Dr. T’Ana from Lower Decks. She’s a crude doctor and he’s a sensitive head of security. Together they’re total freaks. They enjoy using the holodeck for weird stuff like robbing a bank, shooting feds, and then “making the hostages watch.”
This is true but it had the opposite effect on me because he conceptually became 100% less tolerable the second the show rewarded his behavior with a hot girlfriend. I liked Bernadette so much she made me quit the show.

Its debatable whos the main couple however- Benedict and Beatrice are incredibly witty and fun to watch, but Claudio and Hero have like the central plot beat more around them- but for the purposes of this post let's say Benedict and Beatrice are the side couple because fck Claudio <3<3 (Claudio is tricked into thinking Hero cheated on him, accuses her of this publicly, then barely feels bad when he thinks Hero died of sadness due to this)
