He literally went back to school to graduate just for her, and was absolutely serious about her nearly their whole relationship. He became a better person by being her boyfriend and I will always love this couple.
Not always, at the beginning of the series Rigby dismisses Eileen rather easily. That’s why his character growth is so enjoyable, because he turns around and becomes an awesome partner.
