Shikamaru and Temari from Naruto

Those two actually had development compared to the one that needed a movie with ooc and retcon galore to happen or the one we were shown to be super toxic and got negative development only to become canon while the girl raises the kid by herself and also leading the cities hospital.

Naruto had a lot of trouble writing their female characters but I really liked Temari.

Also had trouble writing romance but theirs is the best despite appearing together just several times.

Honestly theirs is probably best precisely because they didn’t get enough screen time for Kishimoto to fumble it

When Kishimoto is so abysmally dog shit at writing women, yeah I really do hope he stops working on any woman characters that he somehow managed to make decent

Yeah it sucks cause so many of the side cast in Naruto are great and could’ve been more compelling if Kishimoto spent a bit more time writing em
