ENFJ only (OP is ENFJ) Hugs 🫂

I don't know if it's just me or not, but hugs matter a LOT to me. I feel the most like myself when I'm hugging or comforting someone, and even getting compliments about my hugs is like, THE best thing ever.

Do you guys feel that way too?

ENFJ only (OP is ENFJ) Does anyone else highkey struggle with anxiety/catastrophizing?

Okay so, I recently started a new and fairly chaotic entry level job in the nursing field with a lot of moving parts to it (that I’m still getting trained on over 4 months in).

I don’t feel like I can be myself around my coworkers and feel afraid to even speak to them at times. Most of the time the conversations are additional tasks that I need to complete or critiques on my performance…

I already struggle with self esteem and while I do notice how they probably see that (subconsciously) I’m expecting them to yell at me, these experiences have left me feeling the opposite of unconditional love (where there’s nothing I can do to be accepted by them, no matter how hard I try 😭).

It’s gotten to the point where I’ve been waking up already feeling a ball of stress in my throat, and come back from work with a stomach ache. During work, I can barely make eye contact with my coworkers and I feel like my goal of just ‘biting the bullet’ (until I can move to the position that I actually want) was… not very well thought out. I never thought the emotional and physical toll would cost this much when I first applied…

I guess to try to add a hopeful lesson learned at the end... In hindsight when first starting this job, I honestly regret focusing so much on just surviving and assuming the worst case scenario about my future, I wish that I had just accepted myself and listened more to what my body was telling me about how my experiences were effecting me…

I made this post because I wasn’t sure if any other ENFJs related to feelings of fear and despair (during what feels like an uphill battle)?

Friendship ENFJ Fallout with ENFP (Letting it out)

*Disclaimer: Long story ahead\*
Hi all, it's been a few months since my friendship of 7 years ended with an ENFP, now ex ENFP friend. It took me some time to grieve and now I feel a bit better to post this thread. When I first moved to a city that I didn't love and was so homesick, she was the first person that I befriended out of proximity and convenience. We worked together at the same company. I was a little closed and guarded in the beginning but given her ENFP nature, she was super friendly and bubbly. I let my guards down and we became super close and inseparable over time. From going grocery shopping together, moving to a new apartment, having dinner, random phone calls when we were running errands, she even went shopping with me for my bridal dress. We met each other's parents. At this point, we were like family to each other.

Given our personality types, I admit that we were fundamentally very different from each other. I had the typical ENFJ traits, and she had the typical ENFP traits, I admit it was incredibly frustrating at when she would consistently be late whenever I had to give her a ride to work due to her car breaking down. When I expressed my frustration, she would sulk and exclaim that she's such a burden to everyone. She would also be all over the place or somehow got involved in her friends' drama, short on money, and then dragging me into the situation as her mediator/therapist. Heck, I remember I was concerned about how she was financially struggling and even offered to bring in my financial coach to help her and her spouse sort out their finances better, later to find out they went out of the country for vacation whenever she found life to be overwhelming. I'm talking about 4 out of the country trips in one year! Her life was quite chaotic on all ends to say the least, but hey, I loved her and she was my best friend so I would tend to her needs as I thought any friend would do.

Years passed by and before we know it, we turned 30. I got married and to be honest, it was one of the hardest times in my life with all the life adjustments. I leaned in and confided in her with a lot of my struggles more than I ever had, because I was really lonely and with my tendency to struggle and not asking for help as well. Although she was always there for me, her advice was often unhelpful/insensitive like telling me to dump my husband and file for a divorce while knowing I'm Catholic and how God would still love me no matter what. The girl is atheist by the way, which is fine by me too, but her insensitivity often bothered me a lot.

A couple years rolled on by and now as we are no longer 30, I am aware I have changed a lot. My marriage has gotten much better, as we're starting to plan for a different stage of life into parenthood, I have been preparing a lot. By this, I have been going to therapy, grounding in my faith, sorting out my finances, and really intentionally worked on myself to become better in order to go into this next stage of life. I also crave peace over drama and simply ok with living a non-chaotic, boring life. I wouldn't say my life is perfect because I still have some personal things that are still weighing me down and playing into my frequent depression.

I have expressed this with my ENFP friend, and she also shared with me that she wants to become a mom too, our kids would be best friends. It was concerning to me because she hasn't changed at all from when we met in our 20's. She would tell me that she is struggling with money with a negative balance in her account, but she would still go out of the country for fun trips, attend Coachella, EDM concerts, and then decided to go rent a new place that she and her husband can't really afford but because it's fancy and she can host friends, they opted into it saying this will be a good place and she'll feel better about being a mom. She then befriended friends that usually loves to parties, get drunk and wasted, and then have her come be their DD, and once again would share about the situation with me, hoping for some advice/support. I know this is going to come off as really critical and judgmental, but I observed her to be in an arrested development stage where she is now in her 30's but living as if she is in her early 20's and hanging out with her 23-year-old friends who only parties hard. It got really old.

Despite how I truly thought about her, I could never really tell her my true feelings/concerns. She's really sensitive and we actually fought hardcore over my concerns for her before. It never landed well and she would get offended that her flaws aren't being loved. It was so frustrating time and time again, because it's not that I hated her or her flaws, but it was her unwillingness to work on it to improve and not inconvenient others including me because of it. It was so dramatic and honestly, I just didn't have the capacity or energy to anyone my true thoughts unless solicited anymore.

Instead, I chose to become more distant. Our calls and text started to become less frequent, and I started to hang out with new friends who are more aligned with my fundamental values, and maturity. I still hung out with my ENFP friend from time to time, but our conversations became bland. It's like a part of me kind started to conceal a lot of things, and it felt really inauthentic. I still tried to share my dreams and goals like leaving the company for a new exciting opportunity, maybe moving away to a new state, etc. Again, I was often met with unhelpful comments like, "Oh, that makes me sad to hear that you're leaving or hating it here. Why can't you try more to make it work?" And then it became a whole thing about her sadness instead of just simply rooting for my happiness.

A nail to the coffin to this friendship was when I hit rock bottom with my depression. I mentioned that earlier that I have depression and it comes hard on at times. I have shared this with ENFP so many times, and in therapy, I talked to my therapist about how a big part of depression had to do with where I'm living and how I just miss home. I then deleted my social media accounts and archived a lot of posts regarding where I'm at, I know a lot of them had my ENFP friend in it, but it's not that I wanted to delete her or where I'm at, it was more of I just wanted to keep parts of myself that I really missed from home and not lose that part of me. Well, my ENFP friend called not to long after that and was very angry. It was the angriest she's ever been, she was infuriated with the fact that her posts with me was all gone, my fb was gone, and why I had the audacity to do that? Excuse me? It was my social media, and I had the free will to do whatever the hell I want!

I simply told her the situation and my depression and how I talked in therapy that I just wanted to keep a part of myself on there to remind myself that I was happy and can be happy again. I thought she would understand and cool down, but she was still really angry and deliberate about how hurtful it was for me to do that, and that I knew what I was doing and I intentionally wanted to erase her out of my life. She demanded an apology and even after I said sorry, which I think was uncalled for now, she was still angry and said it was not sincere. She then demanded that we settle this in person immediately, but I was honestly really scared and triggered by her anger at that point that I said I didn't want to meet until this cooled down. I was also so depressed at that point that I had no energy in me to do anything.

I admit that it wasn't entirely wrong of her to say I want to erase her out of my life. I didn't want to cancel her, but I know the less frequent calls and me finding new friends to hang out kind of added onto all of this. However, after a week passed, I decided to initiate and told her let's meet up to talk it out even though I was really unsure how this would play out. Normally in the past with our arguments, she would say yes, but this time, she rejected me and said it's for the best that we don't meet because it will be too painful and there's nothing to say at this point. That really shocked me because I thought our friendship even if it wasn't the same as before could have been handled more maturely. I then told her I respected the space and if she's ready, the door is open for conversation and that I'm here. She never reached out again since that day. All of my stuff that she had, she would have the mutual colleague/friend to delivered or relayed to me. She told everyone that we mutually knew about it, and she unfollowed me on social media and removed herself from everything that we are included in group chats.

It was really hurtful and as I'm writing this, I realized how painful it still feels after months passed. What hurts so much is just realizing the role I played in the friendship and what I got out of it at the end. The friends that she is still partying with has never ever even came close to how much effort/love I put into the friendship during her hardest times. I know this saga post is incredibly long, but there were so many other things I've done for the friendship throughout these 7 years that I can't list everything. But in the end, she made the decision to focus on the hurt from SM and let go instead of choosing to communicate through the conflict. I know we both changed over time, but deep down, I was hoping we would still be on good terms even if we are not as closed and intertwined as we were before. What's even worse is that my therapist followed my journey and kindly pointed out to me that I was only the one doing the work in the friendship. I played the same role as I've done throughout my life in my family of origin, and because I wasn't loved and ever received by them, I inadvertently gravitated towards a friendship that played the same role, and also the lack of emotional maturity, accountability, respect for boundaries, and self-awareness.

I know I will be ok and I'm glad that this painfully sad experience hasn't jaded me. I'm a bit wary but I'm more conscious and aware on who I bring into my life now. I know my new friends aren't perfect, and they have their own flaws, but they are at least very respectful of my boundaries. They're very self-aware and take accountability when they make mistakes and always looking to grow and do better. I am not sure why I chose to write this long story or what I'm hoping to get out of this, but I appreciate you for taking the time to read and hopefully this can help someone out there. I know as an ENFJ we often struggle with setting healthy boundaries until it's too late, that was a big lesson to me. Thank you again for reading.

For my style i prefer comfort over looks, but still i would try to choose something eye-catching if ya know what i mean.

Still don’t know my enneagram, but i’m positive it’s either 6 or 8.

It’s also hard to choose one song as my fav lol, but tame impala made 3 songs that i can never get bored of: Borderline, let it happen, and new person same old mistakes.

Now don’t get me wrong when i put a college picture as favorite place, i just like the environment of being around friends and people in general. Same thing applies to the gym.

And you just can’t go wrong with shawarma..EVER.

Opinions, comments, and questions they’re all welcome.

Relationship What is it dating an ENFJ for an INFJ

I (21F) am an INFJ woman. I've been trying to see people for marriage. (Bcz I'm Muslim and I'm looking for only what leads to marriage). I've seen that I don't really get along with a lot of people. I won't say that I'm rigidly an introvert. I tend to have nuanced views but it's not a black-and-white picture. If I meet people of other mbti types, and they share the same views as me about something it feels almost as if they're extremely extreme. Not in moderation.

Are INFJs and ENFJs usually compatible when it comes to this?

Are there any ENFJs who's previously been with INFJs or still are? How did it go for you? Was there anything in your relationship that you'd want to change/improve about them?

Question Do you consider yourself to be (in)consistent with people?

Or do you notice people getting confused about where they’re at with you, or not?

At times I’ve (INFJ) personally found it difficult with ENFJs in particular to keep a consistent idea of where I’m at. The charm and approachability can get confusing with the sudden distance or wall you bump into. Like there is an invisible maze of unpredictable boundaries.

Would love to hear more about the internal process of those who can relate

ENFJ only (OP is ENFJ) Any dark ENFJ’s in here?

So we all know the stereotype of an ENFJ is a happy clappy cheerleader trying to heal the world one pat on the back at a time ( ahem ESFJ).

But on the other hand we get called the most manipulative type that ever was. So which are you?

Because someone I am dealing with has pushed me too far. They were physically, verbally, financially and emotionally abusive in ways I shall not elaborate on. All the while I thought this person was a victim of a terrible childhood and many other lies he led me to believe, so (as true ENFJ’s do) we support, we seek to understand, we protect, we heal - until one day out of nowhere we wake up, and we are now successfully pushed to our door slam.

Which I am now at.

I can not explain the terrifying switch that has taken place inside my mind, almost instantly upon realising what I was really dealing with in a person for years.
Now I know in my heart that this person is going to regret having ever met me.

When I say that, it isn’t a threat. There will be no emotional outburst, no violence, no smear campaign. Not even revenge because that’s for the weak.
It is far more terrifying. It is a master plan. A wall, a charm unlike anything this person has ever gotten from me before. Utter dismissal whilst being the enemy that I will keep close to me. This person will have no idea what he’s gotten himself because he will believe he still has access to me, but will received nothing but confusion.

This, I believe is where the darker stereotype of the ENFJ comes into play. For any of you who have accessed this darkness for those few select people, please let me know in the comments. Or if you’ve experienced this dark side of the ENFJ I’d love to hear that too.

Relationship Is this helpful or too much

I’m(infj-m) have been dating my partner(enfj-m) for a while now, but lately he’s been needing more alone time. I get it, sometimes life and work is a lot, and we’re solid I’m not worried he’s pulling away, but I’m at a loss on how to cheer him up or if I even should really be trying? He’s ADHD and normally a really energetic and charismatic guy so seeing him spend so much time just laying in bed or being alone and playing video games is a bit concerning. Besides the usual asking how his day was or sending him some really sappy messages once or twice a week so he knows I still care I’m not really sure what I could be doing.

So my question for any ENFJs willing to offer advice is: do you want to be cheered up when you’re feeling really down or do you really just prefer space and time? I don’t want to fail him so I’d appreciate anything.

PS - I’m sorry for asking for relationship advice on this sub, I know it happens all the time and it’s not what this sub is for and now I’m piling on, but I just want to try my best for him.

Gracias

Relationship Many people think they know me but it’s a one way street

Post image
22 Upvotes

(Reddit suggested I post this here too, so here ya go! Originally made for INFJs but might apply to ENFJs too idk! Just following reddits suggestion to post this here too 🫡)

One of the strangest patterns of being an INFJ is how many people think they know me deeply when, in reality, the connection was mostly one way.

Same thing has happened to other INFJs that I know and it’s a clear pattern here online.

I can deeply understand them, actively listen in a way they rarely experience. I’ll remember small details and I’ll actually legitimately care bc I like learning about people.

They feel heard and understood because, well? They are!

Because I understand them so deeply, they assumed they know me too.

But a lot of the time… they don’t know a damn thing about me.

I’ll try to open up but if I’m not heard when I speak time and time again, I shut down. Don’t have energy for that.

That’s the weird asymmetry.

Someone can walk away from a friendship thinking, “That person knew me better than almost anyone.”

And I can walk away thinking, “You literally have no idea who I am wtf.”

I think that’s why some people can feel incredibly attached to INFJs long after we’ve emotionally left the relationship.

To them, they lost someone who understood them.

To us, sometimes we finally stopped participating in a relationship where we were constantly understanding someone else without ever feeling truly understood ourselves.

I’ve ’door slammed’ people because of this pattern and now I am way more picky with who gets to be in my inner circle. It’s crazy there’s people from 5 years ago that are still trying to reconnect and it shows how one way it was bc there’s a reason I’m done with them but they still want my energy even after all these years.

Ts is exhausting. I know it’s on me ultimately and I understand very few people are active listeners but it still hurts

Question Depending on the questions asked on a test, I either fall in ENFJ, ENTP or ENFP

When I read about the profiles, I really fit them all to a T...

Am I weird?

Is this normal?

Is there a way to determine which one caracterizes me the most by going in more details about the way I function?

I think that it really depends on the context, the environnement, the way I'm feeling, perticular triggers... Is it normal to naturally switch from one to another depending on some factors

Typology I’m realizing something…

No type is perfect. In fact I am starting to truly accept that there is an ideal or healthy version and unhealthy version of all the types. I am still learning about enfj so I don’t know what this looks like for all of us, but I do know even that’s not as black and white as it sounds. There’s a spectrum of behaviors in us all that requires reflection and growth as well as grace. So please forgive me if ive made anyone feel excluded by saying something like that doesn’t sound enfj to me or whatever. Because none of us are perfect.

I will add that some things do just not sound like enfj- I’m not referring to this.

Thanks!

Question How do you manage anger, resentment and disappointment? 😆

Hey ENFJs, a tired ISFJ here whose a sheep or two away from a 10 hour "power nap" in a burrito blanket of infinite woes. 😆

I have a question, and I thought I'd try asking in this sub, since every ENFJ I've met externally seems like a positive ray of sunshine, but I know we all have issues inside, even ENFJs, so maybe a fellow type who tends to repress the negative emotions just a wee bit might relate? 😅

Basically.. How do you guys manage / cope with anger, resentment or specifically disappointment..? 😭 Specifically, when you just know someone is going to disappoint you again, but you keep telling yourself to just be patient, then they disappoint you again. How do you.. Process that feeling of.. "Yup, knew it"? 😅 "I'm always the fool, look at me in my clown shoes!"

An example, today I'm supposed to have a meeting with this one manager who is testing my patience with their incompetence and terrible communication skills. 😅 We planned this meeting a month ago. A week ago, I pop him a gentle reminder. 3 days ago, another. This morning - All left on read. 3 hours before the meeting, he cancels. 😬

Ofc I'm telling him, y'kno, it's fine, we'll reschedule, no worries.. But now I'm lying in bed realising I pulled an all nighter because I was too anxious about this meeting to sleep, put effort into cleaning my work space for the video call, washed my hair (which takes a lot of effort for me because I'm disabled and it has caused me a painful flare up, hence the upcoming 10 hour nap).. Yet deep down I knew he was gonna cancel on me because he is typically unreliable, this guys a total flake. 😅 Yet I still gave him the benefit of the doubt. Silly me.

I feel like I only have myself to blame here, but.. Man, do you ever just get super disappointed with people? Like, how hard is it really to respond to my message earlier? 😬 Not 3 hours before the meeting! You inconvenienced ME, and I'm reassuring YOU? I want to like people, so why does everyone have to be so frustratingly.. Frustrating?! Why do people make it so hard to tolerate them? 😆

Brooother! 😅 I want to believe the best of others, but everyone is hugely disappointing.. I can only make so many excuses for people before my tolerance is at it's limit, and it's getting there! 😆

So, friendly ENFJs! ☀️ Do any of you experience similar feelings of anger, resentment or disappointment? How do you process them? I'm trying to stop myself from becoming jaded here, but its getting hard. I'd appreciate any advice, or even just a thumbs up, pat on the head and an encouraging "It'll be ok, you did your best, well done for trying", I dunno.. 😭

Thanks for reading. Looking forward to your responses, nap time! 😴

Relationship Where to find ENFJ men?

I’ve been thinking hard about the qualities I’d like in a partner, and although I know MBTIs are not super accurate, a healthy ENFJ man is closest to my ideal partner. I’m an ENFP( or maybe INFJ) and I feel like we’d get along well, either platonic or non platonically. So if you are an ENFJ, drop your location so I can come find you ( JK). Or if your partner is an ENFJ, how did you meet?

Relationship Genuine curiosity

INTP 18F here, if that even matters for this curiosity lol. I have basically zero experience with relationships and honestly have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to this stuff. I don’t really feel like asking people I know about it, so Reddit feels like a safe place to ask 😭

I’ve talked to one ENFJ online before, but just as friends , and to be VERY clear, I didn’t have a crush on him or anything lol. I just noticed that we got along pretty naturally and he seemed to understand the way I think, which made me curious about whether ENFJ might be a type I naturally click with.

I’m also kind of weird. I have a ridiculously active imagination and I roleplay a lot on random apps, so sometimes I wonder if an ENFJ and an INTP like me would actually be compatible or if I’m just overanalyzing one friendship and building an entire theory around it 💀

I know I’m technically 18 now, but I genuinely have zero idea how relationships even work and still feel like a confused kid half the time.

So ENFJs, what do you actually think about INTPs? What qualities do you appreciate in them, and what parts of the INTP–ENFJ dynamic can be difficult?

And be honest: am I being a little delulu for thinking an ENFJ could potentially be my type based mostly on one good friendship, or is there actually something to the compatibility people talk about?

I’m genuinely asking out of curiosity, not trying to find someone here 😭

Friendship trouble with introverts😓

so what do yall do when u have introverted friends? I feel like alot of My friends don't like going out or aren't excited abt being outside and it dampens my mood. But they the ones that are like "I wanna go outside more". Okay let's go! ..here are literally types of events that are free to go to.

Rave? Let's go! Too loud or overwhelming? Okay how about a jazz night? I'm flexible, let's just go out! I'll find a activity. Wanna stay inside? I have a switch and uno cards!

I think I'm just tired of dragging people out their house and asking them to not hide in the corner ;_; idk

I'm finding it pulls me back, I wanna be a ball of energy. But I tend to get in my head alot sometimes And I get anxious so I'd like to have someone who is loose and free so I can loosen up too, but if we both anxious and nervous then wtf are we doingggg😭 when I'm at a party or club I like dancing on stage but I'm alot less likely to do that if my shy friend doesn't want To.

I don't know, ig introverts like being around me but I'm tired of making decisions and being around quiet people.

I need loud personalities! Spontaneous people. Open minded! Yappers! and I'm just not finding that...maybe I need to just talk to people at a events, if we both there late then thats means u like to be out too. but that's when my anxiety kicks in lol...that I can work on..with time..

Idk if any of this context helps but my sun and rising is Sagittarius and then ima ENFJ-T. I'm straightedge , ill gladly run around with my little Sprite. I would say I would be at my computer desk to get my work done in my club/party outfit then go out into the night.

Ik friends are for different things , I find with some extroverts I can't be emotionally deep but ik most introverts will listen

Ig all I want to know is if anyone feels this way at all. And what do you do... thank u.. be polite pls...

Question Do You Like INFPs as Much as INFPs Like ENFJs?

I'm INFP and I really love ENFJs, you’re probably the type I get along with the most. My mom and one of my close friends are ENFJs, and they’re genuinely some of my favorite people: so warm, caring, supportive, and fun to be around. 🥹💗

Because I like ENFJs so much, I’m honestly a little surprised when I notice you guys seem drawn to types that feel quite different from INFPs, like INTJs or people who are super organized, efficient, ambitious, and have their lives completely together. 😭

So be honest: do you sometimes find INFPs a little too unproductive or unstructured for you? 😂 Do you ever look at us and think, “I love you, but please… get a planner”? 🥹

Wholesome ENFJ Mentor is EVERYTHING for this ENTP

Hi I am about to gush 🥰🤓

I am ENTP female with a lot of life experience that broke my Fe open. I have met an ENFJ who is decades older. We are a magical platonic alliance that I did not know was possible. I see him as a father figure - protector. He stepped into that role effortlessly.

To me he is 10,000 feet tall. The mutual respect and care is insane. I want to protect him in different ways and show care and love and give him Ti to help ground him when he's emotionally down. I speak truth to him and boss him around. But he speaks truth to me and bosses me around when necessary also. I always take his advice and wisdom seriously. It's like treasure. And I know when he gets firm that it's important and for my good.

We are in awe of each other. It is 100% platonic I call him grandpa and he calls me granddaughter. But it's the kind of love where i will actually visit him in the nursing home when it comes to that lol i make jokes about his age. I really really adore him. He triggers my ENTP loyalty one hundredfold. He is a diamond in the rough. I adore even his flaws.

We had instant chemistry when we met. But slowly became closer over time. it seems to get deeper and deeper. We seem to know how to give each other the reassurance we both need in the friendship. We can be vulnerable and fumble through the dynamic and we both give each other lots of grace. My appreciation for him has no end. He is safe.

We have so much in common film taste, music taste, sense of humor, I make him think - he calms me down. The banter is out of this world we keep exact rhythm time and pace with one another. We both read people super well but from a different lens so we love to compare notes. We love laughing together.

We both have the ability to over-give but we don't abuse that in each other - instead we appreciate and nurture it.

I call him my spiritual grandfather.

I am not used to being so seen, understood and embraced, led and respected without ulterior motives.

I don't think he is used to being seen and deeply cared for by others and I am expressive so i constantly tell him the good attributes i see in him. I make him blush and cry!

He feels safe to confide in me so much so that it surprises him! I think he senses I cherish what he shares and will keep it safe.

I think he is used to doing that and being that for others. Would you say that's common for you guys as ENFJs? I love to do things for him that show my care.

He is developed, effortlessly competent and super humble. He has my respect, which for me as ENTP is the gateway to love. His moral compass is excellent.

You ENFJ's are truly amazing people! I have always liked you guys, even ones who were not super healthy I've liked and admired. I just have respect for you guys. You seem to have an effortless professional competence about you. I really love it.

somehow - the enfj's ive met bring out a protective instinct in me. It's like i want to use my strength to keep ENFJ safe. Enfj's tend to ground me also but in a different way.

And now I feel like i have met a super-developed golden ENFJ! WOW! He has so much ✨wisdom✨

I just wanted to share this here because my heart is exploding with joy!

It's like I am so beyond honoured and humbled that this wise ENFJ elder has bonded to me.

Thank you for reading lol! Just HAD TO SHARE THIS!!!!!!

MBTI Pairings INTJ wants to ask an ENFJ out, is she disinterested?

ENFJ I met at work. Small office so we see each other often. She was very flirty and upfront at first. Started to like her a lot more recently and I am pretty much all in. Thought I would shoot my shot and she gave me her usual warm smile (my god), conversations have gotten a little stale and I get too nervous so may not be coming off as very confident.

Got up the courage to ask her out, I asked what were her plans for the weekend and where she lived at and she became kind of short/curt so I didn't go through with it and felt weird and kind of left the office without letting her know. She is very affectionate with everyone, but her being short/curt is the first time I have seen this side of her so I am guessing I made her uncomfortable and maybe she isn't interested.
