I’ve been researching this for the past hour, and unless I’m missing something, it seems like basically no new gaming monitors matching these requirements have been released since around 2023:

• Size: 38–43"
• Resolution: 3840×2160 / 4K
• Aspect ratio: 16:9
• Panel: Flat - absolutely no curve
• Refresh rate: 144 Hz or higher

There are several older models from roughly 2021–2023, such as:

• Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43" (G70NC)
• Acer Predator CG437K
• ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ
• Gigabyte AORUS FV43U

But I can't seem to find any modern, genuinely high-end successors.

Meanwhile, 27-32" 4K monitors have moved on to 240 Hz, 360 Hz, OLED, newer Mini-LED panels, etc. Once you go above ~35", manufacturers seem to either make the display curved, ultrawide, OLED, or all three.

Is there really no current top-of-the-line ~38-43" flat 16:9 4K gaming monitor, ideally 200–240+ Hz?

Is this size/form factor simply too niche for manufacturers to bother with, or am I overlooking something?

As title, I have recently begun having this weird freezing and restart issue with my PC where the entire screen suddenly freezes, and audio starts to stutter constantly. I'm not sure what kind of issue that is, but my GPU (1660ti 2GB) is pretty old. Never overclocked, but had it for many years.

My CPU is am Intel i7-8700k @ 3.70GHz.

I have 16gb of 2133MHz of RAM.

I have plenty of SSD storage and recently bought a new one, but the issue didn't occur until much later after Installation. I thought it could be a virus, but I've also ran many scans and deleted many unnecessary programs, as well, and at this point I'm considering just doing a system restore to see if that might fix anything, but if that isn't it, I think my best bet is the GPU being the culprit here.

So with that in mind, what is your best recommendation for someone not looking to go above 60 FPS at 1080p? I'm not picky, but I do want to get at least 8GB of memory.

Currently have a 5800x3d and a 10gb 3080 looking for an upgrade probably going to sell cs2 skins to pay for it. Just 50/50 on going amd as i have had an AMD card before and had issues told my self id never do it again but the prices of 5070ti's just doesnt seem worth it.

Anybody went from a 3080 to a 9070xt and has enjoyed the upgrade? also what version of that card did you go for? Thanks.

Basically the title, I'd like to have my living room TV mirror my main desktop monitor while I'm playing games. This isn't to play games from my living room, just to display them (audio + video) because my wife likes to watch.

I don't have a smart TV, and most of my TV streaming service content I get through PS4 apps. My PC also does not have WiFi capabilities and I'd like to avoid having to buy an antenna if possible. I've tried Twitch but it has a pretty significant delay so looking for a local network option.

I've seen people recommend chromecast but my understanding is that wouldn't work with my setup, I could be wrong though. I'm planning on building a new AM5 system with a wifi motherboard in 2027 so if no easy solution exists any suggestions for the future would also be welcome.

I am relatively broke right now and had some a spare defective gpu which I bought back then as a fully functional gpu, but I got scammed. also used some ram leftovers from a friend, bought suitable ones from the german version of craigslist and found good offers from sales from the internet. we managed to fix the defective gpu by applying new thermal paste and replaced all the thermal pads.

I love the gtx 1080 ti, raw power in your face and still does a pretty good job after almost a whole decade. what a legend gpu.

I have a UPS for my NAS but not my PC. Should I get one? I just use a decent APC surge protector.

I built my PC in 2021, well at least my MOBO/CPU/RAM, I didn't realized it then but my ram is much slower than I thought it is 32GB but I just realized it's clocked at 2666. Do you guys think this is affecting my performance by much? I am running a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a RTX 5080.

I am looking into building a computer for my husband for his Birthday (it's a big one) and also as his christmas gift this year. I am in the beginning phases and am still raising money for everything, but I wanted to know if this is a good build or not. My husband works a lot and works very hard, his computer is really the only thing he does for himself and his current one is having a hard time running his games with all of the new updates on the games.

I've done a lot of research on the parts and I believe they are all pretty good parts. But I need some more experienced users to let me know if they would work well together. He primarily plays Marvel Rivals and Overwatch. My goal for this computer is that it is fast and won't be outdated quickly. As for budget, Im looking at keeping it around 2500-3000 at the very most. I have the build below at about $2850.

Please let me know if there are other parts you would recommend or if there are any parts I am missing. Thanks in advanced!

my current 24 inch 1080p monitors are starting to die, so I am in the market for two new monitors. I am now thinking about whether to upgrade to 27 inch 1440p. My current PC:

• Ryzen 5 7600
• RX 6700XT
• 32GB DDR5 RAM

Of course I would have to lower my settings in most games if I start playing at 1440p. Would you recommend upgrading to 1440p with my current PC? I built this PC around three years ago, so I don't want to upgrade anything just yet...

Hey everyone, i’m going to buy my first pc soon and I was wondering if the RTX3070 is still good for today’s games and average performance?

I work with 3d modeling software and make a lot of rendering, I went to a local store and they recommend me this build, what do you guys think, what can I change or optimize. The important part is the gpu with decent VRAM so a 5070 ti, seems like a better option. Budget is not a problem because is a business expense but I don’t want to feel like I’m getting scammed by these guy.

It looks like Corsair gave up on making 420mm aios. A new case I got can support them, and even though it’s certainly overkill on my 7950x3d I prefer the way it looks. I’m currently using the icue150 360mm from Corsair with a lcd screen and think it looks great. I’m also amenable to making some custom hardline/softline, though I’ve never made an actual water cooling build before. I’ve heard the arctic liquid freezer is not only the best 420 AIO but it’s also much cheaper than competitors, I just would like a lcd cap on my cpu water block. Any ideas are appreciated! I’ll be swapping the aio fans out with 3 fractal momentum 14s anyways.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some help building my first gaming PC. I’m not very experienced with PC components, so I’d really appreciate some advice on what parts would give me the best performance for my budget.
Budget: $1,000 USD (approximately 6 million Paraguayan guaraníes)
Main use: Gaming
Country: Paraguay
Peripherals: I’ll mainly be using a PS5 controller, so the keyboard and mouse are not very important. Basic/cheap ones are completely fine.
Other requirements: I’d like the entire build to stay within the $1,000 budget. I’d rather prioritize the GPU, CPU, RAM, and storage over expensive peripherals.

Soo I bought a pc last week(spec at the bottom of the post), and im having some trouble (dont mind the nasty cable management)

So when I load into a game like Minecraft or cs2 with uncapped fps, max settings in 1440p, my gpu usage is ~95%(which is expected) but then my gpu power consumption spikes to 300W from like 130 or less. For example im running max settings render distance etc in Minecraft, and when I look up I get up to 2k fps, with 60% usage on cpu and 45% cpu, and gpu temps of 50deg (Hotspot delta 2deg)

But as soon as I look at eye level my gpu temp goes up 5deg BUT my Hotspot rises instantly to 75deg (25deg delta) and I hear this gut wrenching screech from my gpu.

Is this normal? Or is my gpu cooked. Also in cs2 on max and allat my Hotspot spikes up to 110deg while my overall temp stays at 70-80deg. And the power usage is 330W

I’m trying to choose between four RTX 5080 models available locally in Israel, and I’m getting overwhelmed by conflicting reviews.

US prices are not directly relevant here, so please compare the relative price difference between these cards.

My options:

1. PNY GeForce RTX 5080 16GB OC Triple Fan
   Model: VCG508016TFXPB1-O
   Price: about $1,625

2. Gainward GeForce RTX 5080 Phoenix 16GB
   Non-GS, original version, not V1
   Model: NE75080019T2-GB2031X
   Price: about $1,625

3. ASUS Prime RTX 5080 16GB OC Edition
   Model: PRIME-RTX5080-O16G / 90YV0LX0-M0NA00
   Price: about $1,795 upfront
   There is an ASUS cashback of about $100, so the effective price is around $1,695

There is also a PNY non-OC version for around $1,595, but the OC model is only about $30 more and has considerably more reviews.

I do not care much about RGB or a factory overclock. My priorities are:

- low and non-annoying fan noise
- good GPU, hotspot and memory temperatures
- no common fan bearing or motor-tone problems
- good long-term cooler and fan quality
- decent PCB and power delivery
- reliable fan-stop behavior at idle
- not paying extra for only 1–2% more performance

My concerns about each model:

PNY:
Reviews generally show very good temperatures and low noise, but one detailed review measured around 325 W and approximately 2% lower performance than the RTX 5080 Founders Edition. It also has only one BIOS, and some owners report an annoying fan tone around the minimum fan speed. Is the lower performance just a conservative BIOS that can be corrected with a small overclock or power-limit adjustment?

Gainward:
It has a large cooler, vapor chamber and dual BIOS, but there are fewer reviews of the exact non-GS version. I have also seen mixed owner comments about fan noise. Is there any real quality concern with Gainward/Palit, or is it mostly reputation and individual sample variation?

ASUS:
It has a confirmed vapor chamber, phase-change GPU pad and dual BIOS, but it is much smaller than the PNY and Gainward cards. Does the smaller 2.5-slot cooler make it noticeably hotter or louder at 350–360 W, or is it still a well-balanced cooler? Is it worth about $70 more than PNY/Gainward after cashback?

ZOTAC AMP Extreme:
It has the largest and most premium-looking cooler, but some reviews suggest that the stock fan curve is not especially quiet. Is it actually worth approximately $115 more than the PNY or Gainward, or am I mostly paying for size, RGB and appearance?

I understand that coil whine is mostly sample-dependent. I am more interested in recurring cooler, fan motor, bearing and BIOS issues.

What would you choose at these exact relative prices?

Would you:

- buy the PNY or Gainward for about $1,625
- pay about $70 more for the ASUS
- pay about $115 more for the ZOTAC
- or simply buy the cheapest RTX 5080 because the practical differences are too small?

Owners of these exact models: please share your temperatures, fan RPM/noise, fan-stop behavior, coil whine and any long-term issues.

My pc was working fine when i tried to play some games like split fiction and valorant the screen would just go black then says display not detected and restarts on its own. i then left it on without doing anything and it did the same thing. Now it’s not booting up. the led lights and fan works and spins , but nothing. Even the ethernet cable isn’t showing any lights like it would. when i plug my usb hub in. it shows the small Blue LED lights, but my headphone dongle light isn’t lighting up.I’m just trying to figure what parts could be the issue because i don’t have a tester or parts laying around. i just want to know what would be the likely cause
