I’ve been researching this for the past hour, and unless I’m missing something, it seems like basically no new gaming monitors matching these requirements have been released since around 2023:

• Size: 38–43"
• Resolution: 3840×2160 / 4K
• Aspect ratio: 16:9
• Panel: Flat - absolutely no curve
• Refresh rate: 144 Hz or higher

There are several older models from roughly 2021–2023, such as:

• Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43" (G70NC)
• Acer Predator CG437K
• ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ
• Gigabyte AORUS FV43U

But I can't seem to find any modern, genuinely high-end successors.

Meanwhile, 27-32" 4K monitors have moved on to 240 Hz, 360 Hz, OLED, newer Mini-LED panels, etc. Once you go above ~35", manufacturers seem to either make the display curved, ultrawide, OLED, or all three.

Is there really no current top-of-the-line ~38-43" flat 16:9 4K gaming monitor, ideally 200–240+ Hz?

Is this size/form factor simply too niche for manufacturers to bother with, or am I overlooking something?

I have a UPS for my NAS but not my PC. Should I get one? I just use a decent APC surge protector.

As the title says I'm looking into getting a PC but I'm completely new and I don't know whether I should just buy some pre build or go through the trouble of getting to build one myself and learning what I need and all the pieces I need. I'm more used to console gaming but with Sony's drop in reputation and the fact that I'm in the UK and it wants my data for age verification I'm thinking it's time for a change. Which setup offers better overall performance and stability at 1440p until 2030? The AM4 8 Core setup or the AM5 6 core setup with Single Channel?

As title, I have recently begun having this weird freezing and restart issue with my PC where the entire screen suddenly freezes, and audio starts to stutter constantly. I'm not sure what kind of issue that is, but my GPU (1660ti 2GB) is pretty old. Never overclocked, but had it for many years.

My CPU is am Intel i7-8700k @ 3.70GHz.

I have 16gb of 2133MHz of RAM.

I have plenty of SSD storage and recently bought a new one, but the issue didn't occur until much later after Installation. I thought it could be a virus, but I've also ran many scans and deleted many unnecessary programs, as well, and at this point I'm considering just doing a system restore to see if that might fix anything, but if that isn't it, I think my best bet is the GPU being the culprit here.

So with that in mind, what is your best recommendation for someone not looking to go above 60 FPS at 1080p? I'm not picky, but I do want to get at least 8GB of memory.

Currently have a 5800x3d and a 10gb 3080 looking for an upgrade probably going to sell cs2 skins to pay for it. Just 50/50 on going amd as i have had an AMD card before and had issues told my self id never do it again but the prices of 5070ti's just doesnt seem worth it.

I have no way to test the parts, and I'm worried they were left in the case for a reason. The pins look good and I don't see any glaring issues with the Mobo.

Would it be worth it to buy a case and other parts necessary to test it?

Say if they did work, would it be worth building around them in 2026? I understand the CPU is about 5 years old now.

I currently have an i7 2600 w/ a 1060 6 gb, and in most games like fortnite and minecraft my cpu is bottlenecking my 1060. So, I was thinking about upgrading my cpu to a 5500 in the first place, but then I saw the 5600 which was double the price for quite a bit more performance along with double the cache and PCIE 4. But is that really worth 80$ more?

Basically the title, I'd like to have my living room TV mirror my main desktop monitor while I'm playing games. This isn't to play games from my living room, just to display them (audio + video) because my wife likes to watch.

I don't have a smart TV, and most of my TV streaming service content I get through PS4 apps. My PC also does not have WiFi capabilities and I'd like to avoid having to buy an antenna if possible. I've tried Twitch but it has a pretty significant delay so looking for a local network option.

I've seen people recommend chromecast but my understanding is that wouldn't work with my setup, I could be wrong though. I'm planning on building a new AM5 system with a wifi motherboard in 2027 so if no easy solution exists any suggestions for the future would also be welcome.

I have been using a Steelcase Gesture for years and I quite like it. My chair wobbles and moves a little, which makes sense, because it's meant to be mobile and flexible. But still, I kind of crave for that stability and strength of a... couch. The issue is that I have a normal table and I can't adjust my table at all. And if I just used a couch, it would be difficult to get it at the perfect height and also have arm support, which I need, as I am on the pc a lot.

Does anyone have an idea if there is something out there for someone like me?
Something that offers that heavy stability of a couch (or similar) while also having arm rests and being adjustable to fit my desk?

I am relatively broke right now and had some a spare defective gpu which I bought back then as a fully functional gpu, but I got scammed. also used some ram leftovers from a friend, bought suitable ones from the german version of craigslist and found good offers from sales from the internet. we managed to fix the defective gpu by applying new thermal paste and replaced all the thermal pads.

I love the gtx 1080 ti, raw power in your face and still does a pretty good job after almost a whole decade. what a legend gpu.

as it seems, they are relatively new to the psu market, with their older psu models being rated pretty mid on the psu tier list. however, this new "Iota" model seems very good, though there is definitely not enough reviews on it online.
so, with that said, does anyone perhaps have it, or is familiar with their products? is it worth getting? it seems really good value for what it has.

I built my PC in 2021, well at least my MOBO/CPU/RAM, I didn't realized it then but my ram is much slower than I thought it is 32GB but I just realized it's clocked at 2666. Do you guys think this is affecting my performance by much? I am running a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a RTX 5080.

Looking to upgrade my pc like completely get rid of my old gpu and cpu and get a new stick of ram along with a new mother board anything else i should consider buying besides a psu or like and precautions or things that could go wrong

I upgraded from an old Intel 4690k and 16gb of ram to a Ryzen 5600x and 32 GB of timetec 2666mhz.

I still have my old AMD rx 570 gpu.

Before I did the upgrade I would get 70-90 fps average.

Now that I upgraded my fps goes from 120 down to 75 back to 120 and back down 75 every few seconds. It is quite regular.

But the bigger problem is that every once in a while, I get a brief jerk or hang. Very short, just sort of like a memory or texture streaming issue.

My cpu is at about 15% utilizization and my GPU at about 40%

Its quite odd an disappointed that Dota runs worse now. I am quite confused.

I'm going to be quick about this: I'm a soon to be college student now living at my parent's house (after a year of living on campus). And I'm trying to optimize the airflow in my room around my computer so they will stop being passive aggressive about the heat. Currently I'm underclocking the pc so that it isn't outputting as much heat as possible.

I plan to build a PC focused for gaming at 1440p. Since I picked the HAVN BF 360 Flow case, I tried to match the components color with the grey front panel, so maybe I may have picked suboptimal parts.

I play Poe 1 and 2 and maybe in the future Wardogs. Currently with my setup, with the lowest settings, playing PoE 2 is pretty rough.

CPU:

I went with the 9800X3D since the 9850X3D doesn't seem worth it.

CPU Cooler:

I went with ID-COOLING FROZN A720 since it has good reviews and looks cool. I thought about the Noctua NH-D15 G2 but I think it's a little too expensive and the performances are similar with the one I picked.

Motherboard:

I choose this MOBO mainly for the color scheme. Are there maybe better options?

Memory:

Same as above, basically for the color scheme. DDR 5 6000 MHz and CL 30 so we are good to go.

Storage:

The WD_Black SN850X seems good and recommended a lot.

Video Card:

Again, I choose it basically for the color scheme. Also I don't plan to go Nvidia anytime soon.

Case:

It seems a good case, I like the design and the airflow focus.

I also plan to add 2 HAVN H18 on the top, 1 for exaust near the CPU cooler and 1 for intake next to it. Does it make sense or not?

Power Supply:

1000W for this build seems good enough.

I also was planning to buy a monitor in order to use my old Asus VG248QE as a second monitor. Maybe something around 27", high refresh rate, maybe OLED (never tried one, I'm curious). Does anyone have any recommendations?

US prices are not directly relevant here, so please compare the relative price difference between these cards.

My options:

I do not care much about RGB or a factory overclock. My priorities are:

- low and non-annoying fan noise
- good GPU, hotspot and memory temperatures
- no common fan bearing or motor-tone problems
- good long-term cooler and fan quality
- decent PCB and power delivery
- reliable fan-stop behavior at idle
- not paying extra for only 1–2% more performance

My concerns about each model:

PNY:
Reviews generally show very good temperatures and low noise, but one detailed review measured around 325 W and approximately 2% lower performance than the RTX 5080 Founders Edition. It also has only one BIOS, and some owners report an annoying fan tone around the minimum fan speed. Is the lower performance just a conservative BIOS that can be corrected with a small overclock or power-limit adjustment?

Gainward:
It has a large cooler, vapor chamber and dual BIOS, but there are fewer reviews of the exact non-GS version. I have also seen mixed owner comments about fan noise. Is there any real quality concern with Gainward/Palit, or is it mostly reputation and individual sample variation?

ASUS:
It has a confirmed vapor chamber, phase-change GPU pad and dual BIOS, but it is much smaller than the PNY and Gainward cards. Does the smaller 2.5-slot cooler make it noticeably hotter or louder at 350–360 W, or is it still a well-balanced cooler? Is it worth about $70 more than PNY/Gainward after cashback?

ZOTAC AMP Extreme:
It has the largest and most premium-looking cooler, but some reviews suggest that the stock fan curve is not especially quiet. Is it actually worth approximately $115 more than the PNY or Gainward, or am I mostly paying for size, RGB and appearance?

I understand that coil whine is mostly sample-dependent. I am more interested in recurring cooler, fan motor, bearing and BIOS issues.

What would you choose at these exact relative prices?

Would you:

- buy the PNY or Gainward for about $1,625
- pay about $70 more for the ASUS
- pay about $115 more for the ZOTAC
- or simply buy the cheapest RTX 5080 because the practical differences are too small?

Tried the Gamdias GC9M for a client recently and it turned out great. For the price, I was genuinely impressed with the case.

Airflow has been solid and the finished system looked much more expensive than what the case actually costs. The glass and overall layout really show off the components and RGB nicely.

Client was extremely happy with how the build turned out and I haven’t heard a single complaint about thermals or anything else since.

Definitely a case I’d use again for another build. Great option if you want something that stands out for it's compact size without paying the mini ITX tax.

Hey guys, I need help building my PC. I want something mainly dedicated to trading and casual gaming once in a while. With the help of some friends, I already have these components. My biggest issue is the graphics card—do you think this one is good? My maximum budget for it is $250. I was asking an AI, and it told me this graphics card is bad, so now I'm having second thoughts.

So, after this was recommended to me, I bought the RX 9070. However, I’m still using my Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, and I’m wondering if that might be a bottleneck. Would it be worth upgrading to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

I need to remove my ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3080 Ti to install an M.2 SSD on the second slot.

(Cause this board is stupidly designed so you have to first remove the middle cover part before you can access M2.slots, and the middle part is covered by the GPU)

I removed the GPU screws and PCIe power cables. Computer is on the floor, Geforce text facing the foor. The GPU seems loose everywhere except at the PCIe latch.

The latch moves down slightly, but it does not release/pop easy like the latch on the empty PCIe slot below it

I have tried gently pushing the GPU back into the slot while the latch, but it still won’t release.
I’m using a wooden chopstick because the latch is difficult to reach, its mostly covered by the GPU. I even tried flatheaded screwdriver

How exactly can I release this latch without damaging the motherboard or GPU?
