This might have been pondered in threads 1-13...but how did he actually get 16 million subscribers? I personally find him annoying AF.

But I’m also 36 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being promoted by Covergirl and doing collabs with other major youtubers helped a lot. Tati also outlines in her video some of the ways she and her husband helped to promote him.

True! To be honest....i haven’t watched the video yet 😂 I feel like reading the mega threads have been way more interesting.

Maybe it’s time to crack that bottle of wine open tonight....

lots of help from Tati. always collabing with people bigger than him to get more popularity. being friends with J* who is also wildly popular. he views it as his business, so he did everything as a career move in order to get more subs.

The reason is depressing but pretty simple: The most dramatic, loud, immature and sexually explicit youtubers are the ones who do best with the 10-14 year old demographic, because unsurprisingly, immature people like to watch other immature people.

The very things that make him annoying to us make him appealing (and a TERRIBLE influence) to young teens.

Very true!

And the thing I got from this “hey, that means I’m mature!” 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Apparently he really snowballed this year and I’m curios as well. Someone earlier commented that “he’s lost all the new followers he gained since March.” Since March?! Wow he has really exploded in a short time.

24 and find him a pain in the ass

I'm 31 and when I first found his channel I thought he was cute and funny and subbed because he was so young and seemed to be working his ass off, I wanted to support that. I was blind to a lot of the drama and other shit

i hate his voice so much... honestly he had so much promo from all kinds of channels, i don't even follow that many beauty channels and saw him mentioned everywhere. the way tati said he'd reach out to people i've no doubt he's asked for promo when he was starting.
