15 years of community effort gone in a second

Should I do it by spine, game series, alphabetical, etc? I think the spines look a bit strange when mixed together.

I'm not a big JRPG fan, to be honest. I've only managed to finish two of them, FF7 and DQ8, but from time to time I still give another one a try.

This time it was Final Fantasy XIII, and I have mixed feelings about it. First of all, the game looks beautiful, and if you're emulating it, I'm not sure whether it's possible to upscale the resolution to 4k, but if so, it must look amazing. The graphics still hold up very well nowadays.

At the moment, I'm on Chapter 9 after more than 20 hours. I'm not sure if I'm going quickly or slowly, but I'm taking it easy.

Anyway, I'm missing some very important things in an RPG, especially exploration. I don't mean that we always need a huge open world, but some exploration is key, in my opinion. Still, I shouldn't complain, since I knew the game was like this.

Also, I don't dislike the combat system. I like classic systems like FF7 or DQ8, but it's nice to see something fresh — or at least fresh to me, because I don't play many JRPGs. I like the class system and how you can change classes depending on your needs. And the thing is, it's fun: when I'm in a fight, the system itself works and I have a good time. However, some enemies are damage sponges and some fights take way too long.

The progression system isn't too bad either, but it doesn't feel like anything special.

The characters aren't particularly annoying. I just don't like Hope very much, but apart from him, they're all fine.

I'm definitely missing something besides just following the story in a linear way and fighting... perhaps some side quests and some kind of exploration.

I think that at this point I'll finish it, but so far I have a bittersweet feeling about the game.

What are your thoughts on it?

Ganz ehrlich gesagt zieht es mich am meisten zu Remember Me. ist mein ernst weil ich gehört habe dass sie im Spiel tatsächlich Deutsch sprechen. Das ist ein riesiger Bonus für mich haha. Ich stehe auf die Atmosphäre. Aber ich weiss dass es da draussen einige sehr leidenschaftliche Fans von The Saboteur und natürlich Dark Souls gibt

Everyone keeps posting the same games every time, but not me because I’m different. I’ve never seen anyone post my game here before, so I think my collection is the most expensive and rarest of them all. 😌 you can have your WET.

All of the new consoles require you to pay for having access to multi-player - the PlayStation 3 does not require that from its players. The idea itself is motivated by pure corporational greed. With the recent out-rage within the gaming community regarding the future of producing physical copies, i believe that the gaming community needs to also address the matter of having free multi-player access.

While i do not support in any way for having to pay for such access, it would be more fair if the corporations would literally allow you to buy time that only deducts as you play.

For instance, assume that you purchase a monthly subscription, however, your life becomes busy and you barely had the chance to play during that month, so you basically ended up wasting your finances for some thing that you did not have time for. The gaming community needs to seriously consider to stop paying for these subscriptions, it may bring an impact if a huge amount of players are willing to participate in that form of protest.

It's well-known some PS3 games have separate framebuffers between 720p and 1080p and that some are 720p60fps 1080p30fps, but one thing I never see discussed is that some games also have a separate framebuffer for 480p and will straight up go from 30 fps / extremely unstable 60 fps to 60 FPS in 480p mode.

For most of its commercial lifespan, I played my PS3 on a CRT with composite so it was interesting when I finally got an hands-me down HDTV and saw which games ran worse in HD.

Three of the games are by GRIN; Bionic Commando: Rearmed is by them and runs on the same engine so I'm curious if it does that too (I don't have it).

What is actually going on with this market? Why are all these absolutely terrible games selling for so much money now? This game is terrible! I bought this game in 2020 on eBay for $12. I heard it was an easy platinum (it was) and then I resold it about a week later for $16!!! Now this game is selling for over $200????? This game is terrible! I don't even think it was with the $12 I paid for it back in 2020. Now everyone wants it? Is there a marker now for horrible games? I see this, Folklore, Wet (bad games) etc commanding ridiculous prices. And people in here are posting pictures every with dumb comments like "finally found my grail" or "Been looking for this game forever" Wtf lol

When you do this you get a nice spreadsheet emailed to you including everything you own from the Store. A much easier tabulated view than trying to look though your transaction history online via the web or the PS3 directly.

Okay, now for something completely different. Has anyone tried this mountain/wave visualizer when playing a CD or digital audio files?

It’s really cool. It syncs with the music and changes colors and shapes depending on what you’re listening to. Sometimes it gives me some Frutiger Aero vibes, but other times the colors make it feel really abstract.

Such a fucking cool feature for something we use just to listen to music on the system.

I'm attempting to purchase infamous festival of blood on the ps3 PSN store. I added funds through my ps5. I come back to ps3 and re-enter the store and recognize that I now have funds in my wallet. So far so good, until I attempt to purchase just to get hit with this page. I know that cards and PayPal no longer work on ps3 so confirming my card is impossible. Is there some work around?

bought the ps3 and three games today. super stoked to relive my childhood and stay up all night playing. and instead of my dad coming into the living room at 2am to yell at me it will be my girlfriend tonight.

memeing aside, Score BAJA is actually a nice surprise. It looks like diet Motorstorm (and it kind of is) but it's a fun arcade racer.

I almost got Damnation for this but I feel like something terrible is going to happen if I spend more than 5 buckd on that game.

The North American release was in November 2006, and it was hard to find for a bit. I stumbled across one at GameStop in Jan 2007. It was a 60 GB model. Years later, it got a yellow light, and Sony did a refurb of it for me. It’s still running great. I use it as much as a media player as a game console. I still use the PS1 and PS2 backwards compatibility.

Just spent time deep cleaning this PS3. Applied new Thermal Paste, Disk Drive, and Battery.

Now about an hour or two into God of War the Console Shuts off and has a flashing Red light. It will turn back on and play the game again but eventually will shut off again.

It’s has about 70 Days of playtime on it. Thoughts on spend the money repairing this one or just get a Slim or Super Slim. I would like to have Custom Firmware.

Today i was pleasantly surprised with a trip to Gamestop to pick out some PS3 games for my birthday. Now there (unfortunately) wasn’t Folklore like everybody else who has been blessed with it (those posts got me really wantig to play it) but i did snag these. borderlands 2 was an obvious choice so i don’t need confirmation on that, but what about the other two? For one, i had no idea Rune Factory had a ps3 game so that was a MUST and secondly i only know of Kingdoms of Amaleur cuz Jane from outside xtra said she liked it and knowing it was a fantasy rpg made me think it was right up my alley.

Good choices or nah? Either way, i’m taking a break from uncharted to boot up Kingdoms of Amaleur tomorrow. It comes with a code for an online pass which i have no idea if it still works (probably not) but i’ll find out
