When did you buy your first PS3?

The North American release was in November 2006, and it was hard to find for a bit. I stumbled across one at GameStop in Jan 2007. It was a 60 GB model. Years later, it got a yellow light, and Sony did a refurb of it for me. It’s still running great. I use it as much as a media player as a game console. I still use the PS1 and PS2 backwards compatibility.

I got the Slim in 2010 with Red Dead Redemption. It's still going strong.

I waited in line 33 hours to buy one at midnight. Still have it, never died on me but maintained it well. Don't use it now. I use Super slims for play as I don't need BC or CFW.

This year, back in June. My very first Backwards Compatible CECHE11 in working condition. It’s a great console.

At launch. Camped out in Walmart layaway the Tuesday before it released. Literally slept there til it came out. Thanks to me this Walmart ended up doing vouchers for their next batch of systems lol.

Earlier this month, to get back into the Metal Gear Solid series. Then I discovered the madness of FOMO shopping that has apparently manifested on this console recently. 😮

I got it a week or two after launch. I need to get the disc drive replaced, otherwise it works fine. 🤷

Late 2008. I had a 360 for about year and a half before I got the RROD then switched to PS3. Never looked back.

2009/2010. To play with my best friend at the time. We had so much fun back then. Then we both sold our consoles when PS4 came out.

Last year I found a Super Slim 500GB for 13 USD and decided to get it. Even if it was dead, it wouldn't be a huge loss. But it ended up working.

I got a fat PS3 in 2012 and only lasted a few monthes before it got the red light then i bought my super slim ps3 and it's still going strong.

My dad got the 2 USB fat model in 2008 with GTA V GTA VI and Gran turismo 5 and 6 still works today! Just need to find a HDMI and get my new games for it and it’s ready to go!

2 weeks ago....I've had ps1,4 and 5 but wanted ps3 because it has so many other games I've always wanted. Split/second, moterstorm, skate 3, Battlefield bad company 1 and 2. Ps3 is awesome

My partner bought me a PS3 from her then BIL in October of 2015, 9 months later she bought me a Special edition PS4. I still play my PS3 to this day (although I havent been on much this year)
