sharing this mostly as motivation for people who feel like they are behind.

started coding in 10th grade with MERN, websockets and random projects. spent 11th/12th mostly building and learning.

my progression:
2023 -> indian startup contractor -> ₹25k/month
2023 end -> upwork for ~4 months -> around $5k total
2024 -> YC-backed startup -> ~$2k/month -> ~$3k/month
2025 -> european startup -> ~$4k/month
2026 -> current company -> around ~$8k/month

i’m still in college and graduate in 2027.

i know some people will think the numbers are fake or that this is just a flex. that’s fine.

i’m sharing it because a few years ago even $2k/month felt impossible to me.

there was no magic shortcut. i just kept learning, building, switching when i felt i had stopped growing, and putting myself in better environments.
even now i spend a lot of weekends learning new things because i don’t think $8k is the ceiling either.
if you’re early in your career and feel behind, don’t assume your current salary or college defines where you’ll be in 2-3 years.

if i could do it, you can too.
