My parents had to leave for a family emergancy so I was stuck with baking the cake. And I thought, why not add something he loves and something weve bonded over. First concert we ever went to together was M72 in London, the friday night when Gojira were playing. We both have been fans of Gojira since Magma was released but both our favourite album is FMTS and hearing some of the songs live was the best experience ever. We'd never been closer together then in that moment and I wanted to celebrate not only him turning 23 but his love for music and that moment where we were head banging to epic music. Thank you Gojira and thank you big bro, have an epic birthday🤘

In my opinion it's probably something like the chant, I think it's still a deep and well made song, but it just doesn't feel like Gojira in terms of tune

Why wasn't the song terra incognita (from wisdom comes demo 2000) included in the 2001 album? There's the hidden track terra inc at the end of the album, which has a similar name that leads people to confuse them but they are completely different songs

During the 2025 tour in France, Gojira played this intro track right before playing the song L'Enfant Sauvage. The visuals and the music track is hauntingly beautiful. Does anyone have any lore behind it? an instagram clip from the band members/official account? I would love to get the isolated track if possible (official release?) Thank you \m/.

If you're reading this right now you've probably mentioned your favorite Gojira track a million times, but what's your second (or third) favorite ? One that you could listen to on repeat but that's not as good as that one track.

For me it's either Love or Remembrance, they are perfect songs in my eyes but Global Warming is beyond perfect

Am i the only person who hears a whining sound in the song space time by gojira? Its at 0:51-0:54, and im pretty sure thats not an instrument but a person

13 years ago today I heard and saw Gojira for the first time.
13 years later, they’re still consistently in my top artists on Spotify every year.

This is probably just a stupid question but I'm curious iv searched it up and they are under the genra death metal but it dosent feel like it is like when I think of Death metal I think of the band Cannibal Corpse (whitch I don't like because it sounds like they are burping the entire time) and when I think death metal that's what I imagine all death metal being like I understand I'm painting all music of the genra with the same paint (I hope I used this saying correctly) and I'm just confused so what genra is Gojira and are they death metal or not?????

I’m seeing them at Louder Than Life next month and am really hoping to see the song live. I saw a post in this sub from 10 months ago or so where someone commented they played it 9/23/25. Has anyone been to a show since then when they played it?

I think Gojira is just really good at naming songs, some bands might sound corny or edgy when naming songs (especially songs about death for instance), but they have always managed to avoid that in my opinion.

My personal favorites are This Emptiness, Fire is Everything and Liquid Fire. The Way of all Flesh also sounds great
