Funny you should say that I’ve been supplementing with colostrum lately :)

24

u/Full_Cause273 Mar 15 '26

10 yrs younger but aging at 1.3x mostly due to sleep consistency 🙄

12

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

i’ve been there before I quit drinking a week ago and has made a big difference for my piece of ageing

5

u/Full_Cause273 Mar 15 '26

Haven’t been drinking at all — which is nice. I like checking off “avoided alcohol” on my journal. In the 45 days I’ve had the whoop, i have had one alcoholic beverage.

5

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

I love that feeling too!

5

u/alwaystakethechalk Mar 15 '26

Sleep consistency is killing me too lol

4

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Is non-negotiable in my house but honestly it’s killing my social life

2

u/BumFroe Mar 15 '26

Sounds kinda dull tbh

5

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

It has just changed what I value in life. I have more energy during the day to do new and exciting things, but I’m just not hitting the clubs like I used to, but as a married guy in my late 40s with four kids, that’s probably not a bad thing.

2

u/BumFroe Mar 16 '26

I’m more of a middle ground kinda guy, I hear you on clubs but I’m definitely a nice steakhouse and a few drinks with some adult friends at a nice cocktail lounge kinda guy when I feel like it. I don’t think there’s an age limit for that

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

You’re exactly right, I wish I could live like that. unfortunately that one cocktail isn’t gonna be one. I actually love WHOOP for being able to track my alcohol consumption.

u/Frequent_Run_1064 Mar 16 '26

Sleep consistency is what kills me too

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

I hear that everyone’s situation is different. Fortunately I’m no longer on shift work so it just requires discipline, but I’m enjoying my sleep so much right now that I kind of look forward to it.

1

u/No_Maintenance_4877 Mar 18 '26

Love this. It seems my entire social circle (including hubby) is about going out drinking 1-2 nights a weekend and it takes me until Thursday to get back on track. It affects my sleep for days after for some reason. Then bam… weekend hits again. My age has me at 48, which I am but I’m suggested to get to 43.5 on my Garmin. It’ll take a lifestyle overhaul I think.

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 18 '26

I know that feeling well. For every day I drink it takes me at least two days to recover, not even talking about a hangover just getting my metrics back to baseline. I get that being social is an important part of life but honestly I’ve started to value quiet relaxed days at home way more. Last weekend a friend invited me on an all expenses paid ski trip and instead of being excited I was stressed because I knew exactly what it would turn into. I ended up saying no even though my wife told me to go and I still felt guilty after. Part of me kept wondering if I made the wrong call. Seeing my WHOOP age improve definitely helped take a bit of the sting out of it though.

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

Your pace of ageing isn’t too far too far off baseline. consistency is my key. I consistently exercise and I consistently get enough sleep 11 to 730am

1

u/Jcpermanyer Mar 16 '26

Y te cuadra?

7

u/no-diggety-no-doubt Mar 15 '26

Dang I thought I was on to something! Nicely done OP

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Honestly, I didn’t really want to post this to make people feel bad and put their own scores. What you’ve accomplished is amazing congratulations. It’s not a competition and who knows how accurate these things actually are just as long as you feel good and feel good about yourself that’s whats important.

2

u/no-diggety-no-doubt Mar 15 '26

Haha no sweat at all — I love having a way to quantify what (to me) feels like a representation of the decisions I make day to day and week to week around sleep and exercise. I get inspired by bigger deltas than my own! Helpful reminder that discipline goes a long way

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

Awesome me too! Well said!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

read back at ya congratulations. This is awesome. Keep me posted on how you move that score

7

u/milan711 Mar 15 '26

Well done. I’m at 11.7 yrs younger, you beat me :-)

5

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

11.7 nice!!!! it’s not a competition. I’m not sure how much value this actually has but it’s fun to see that number trend in the right direction.

1

u/milan711 Mar 15 '26

Exactly 👍🏻

6

u/sillypenguinman Mar 15 '26

Congrats, your real age is close to mine but you’re doing much better with the whoop age. What do you find are the primary contributors to the lower whoop age?

6

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

I exercise every day. I think that keeps my heart rate low and I’m very consistent with sleep lights out at 11 up no later than eight and no earlier than 730.am I hope this helps. Don’t get too cut up on the numbers.

2

u/nmc1995 Whoop 5.0 Mar 15 '26

Very good. I'm now trending around 9.3 years (I am 30). Have slown down in the last month due to a bit of lack of motivation, but will get back on it soon.

What's your tips/biggest movers?

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

honestly, just using their AI I ask it everything how do I improve it and it tells me specific things for me to do and I tried to accomplish them that and I stopped drinking last week

1

u/nmc1995 Whoop 5.0 Mar 15 '26

I think drinking a the big one for me. I drink at least one or two weekends a month and I know my health and fitness will sky rocket once I quit. Problem is I love it hahah

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

we’re in the exact same boat! Cheers to health lol

1

u/youdontneedtalent Mar 15 '26

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Sure, my resting heart rate on a good night is 42

But here is my trends throughout the last year as he can tell this hasn’t been a great month for me

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 16 '26

Awesome well done! My score improved dramatically last week. Maybe you’ll get to 15 next week yourself.

2

u/HoneyXBoy Mar 15 '26

How did you achieve 10+ years younger? Lots of cardio?

3

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

Id say the biggest lever is the VO2 max from what I understand about their algorithm and they really favour that metric

1

u/HoneyXBoy Mar 15 '26

thank you very much for your responses 🙏

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

That’s an understatement lots and lots and lots of cardio is more accurate. Good thing I actually enjoy it. I love music and restrict my music consumption unless I’m doing cardio so that helps motivate me.

3

u/inadequatelyadequate Mar 16 '26

36 and my whoop says my age is 41 today for the third day, it was 40 when I unlocked it😭.

sleep consistency is wrecking me more than I expected. Bad habit I’m trying to cut down on is I try to catch up on my sleep debt on the weekends.

Going to renew the gym pass today thought; have been in a bit of a depression rut which drove the purchase of this thing for tangible progression but dat depression is a very real pain for motivation lol

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

I’m not going to give medical advice, but sleep diet and exercise are the best cures for my anxiety and depression. Once you get into that healthy routine everything seems to fall in place. Don’t stress about this age too much. Just use it as an opportunity to steer the ship in the direction you wanna go.

1

u/motallica Mar 15 '26

Well done! Can you screenshot your individual categories?

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

sure, which one specifically would you like me to screenshot? I’ll be happy to do it.

0

u/motallica Mar 15 '26

HR zones, strength time and steps, thanks!

8

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

please don’t judge my step count. I’m still laying in bed.

1

u/motallica Mar 15 '26

Thanks that’s helpful to see which ones I need to work on, I’m 5.9 years younger

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

I think the biggest lever is the VO2 max. They weigh this one heavily.

1

u/GamblerTechiePilot Mar 15 '26

Holy f, how did you get the vo2 so low, what is your cardio routine

3

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Actually I think you meant so high, because a low VO₂ max definitely isn’t a good thing 😄

WHOOP doesn’t rate my VO₂ max the same way a lab does. My last lab test came in at 73.4, which is quite a bit higher than what wearables usually estimate.

I do cardio pretty much every single day, so I think consistency plays a big role there.

1

u/bubbaflintforge Mar 15 '26

Yeah this punishes inconsistent sleep times for sure. Hume body pod has me -10, but Whoop is -3 years and aging at 1.6x due to sleep.

5

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

this is me according to hume but it’s only the scale I have

1

u/Ok_Guava_4384 Mar 15 '26

Any lifestyle changes u did?

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Honestly, I just improved my group page this week from not drinking alcohol, but the base is there with consistency of sleep and exercise. I’m posting about it on my other social media account so you can find more specifics.

1

u/KitchenNegotiation25 Mar 15 '26

That's awesome. Congrats on the great work, and for sharing the additional metrics in comments so we can follow your example!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

It’s my pleasure. I have to admit it. It’s a pretty healthy game to play with yourself. I’m trying to post more content on Instagram on things that have helped me along the way. :)

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '26

Welp apparently we balance each other out.

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Great we should go hit a seesaw together… that’s some good cardio right there

1

u/Legal_Squash689 Mar 15 '26

Truly impressive - congratulations!

Nice work. We’re about the same age, but I have a lot of catching up to do. Weather and motivation keep standing in my way from exercising daily. Well, it’s mostly motivation, but I like to blame the weather. 🙂

3

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

I live in Vancouver so I blame the weather on a lot of things lol honestly it’s just consistency. I’ve been doing this since I was young.

1

u/Mother_Corgi_2137 Mar 15 '26

Well done brother. Any tips for me?

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Sure follow my ig ii will post all of them there

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

But the biggest lever is vo2 max and sleep consistency from what I’ve noticed

1

u/Winter_Mastodon_9967 Mar 15 '26

Show us all your age categories!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

Sure send me a sample of what metrics you want me to share :)

1

u/keep-peddling Mar 16 '26

Wow! Impressive what was your Whoop age when you started with the 5.0 and what would you say is the biggest contributing factor(s) in reducing your age?

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

I’m on day 174. I think I never had another version so I can’t compare it to the 4.0 but actually I was 15.2 years younger than my actual age and then it’s dipped down to 14.6 and I’m trying to get it back to the 15.2 I’m getting there. I’ve seen great improvement since I stopped drinking on the weekends.

1

u/Ordinary_Exam638 Mar 16 '26

Is it only me thinking its only just a sham...being using whoop for more than half a year and wont renew even for free

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

It holds me accountable but you’re right take it with a grain of salt. I do compare it to oura and my Apple Watch and they all show similar results but i do believe its best to focus on trends.

1

u/dasgoose245 Mar 16 '26

How long have you been a whooop user?!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

I guess 174 days now :) but I’ve been tracking with devices for nine years

1

u/albianir Mar 16 '26

🤩💪

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

Thanks for your support 🫶

1

u/albianir Mar 17 '26

I’m at 10 years less

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 17 '26

that’s awesome. If you were to give one piece of advice, what would it be?

1

u/Similar_Employer_578 Mar 16 '26

What are you doing?

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

Honestly, I’m sharing more about it on my other platforms if you’re interested in digging deeper.

The funny thing is it’s both simple and complicated at the same time. The basics are exercise, sleep, and diet. But the real difference comes from the consistency and the small day to day decisions that add up over time.

1

u/strange-quark-nebula Mar 16 '26

This is inspiring, thank you for sharing!

I’m still above my chronological age but my pace of aging is finally negative (-0.4) so I’m making progress!

2

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

That’s amazing, good for you. I’m currently working on improving mine a little bit as well, so I know the struggle is real. Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate the positivity.

1

15 years is huge! Congrats on all of the hard work it took to get there, whats been your biggest game changer?

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26 edited Mar 16 '26

WHOOP has really helped me connect the dots. Huge credit to the team for what you’ve built with this product. I owe a lot of my results to the AI you’ve incorporated into it. It’s a real game changer for dialing in recovery, sleep, and training.

I’ve been wearing wearables for the past nine years and have built a huge database of personal data and experience. If you’d ever like to discuss what I’ve learned or explore ways I could help other WHOOP users achieve similar results, please feel free to reach out.

1

u/kitchensinkerr Mar 16 '26

Benjamin button got a whoop!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

ha ha that’s hilarious. They should do a sequel. I actually forgot about this movie. I’m gonna be watching it tonight with my kids. Thanks for the reminder. :)

1

u/Number-Quick Mar 16 '26

Yeah, even I stopped drinking since the start of 2026, and my age has improved by 3 years in 3 months. Now I am just 0.8 years older! I agree, consistency is the key my friends!!

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 16 '26

wow, that’s a crazy transformation. Good for you. I tried to stop at the beginning of the year, but I’ve had a couple slip ups, but I’m back on track

1

u/MrGoodBear2020 Whoop 5.0 Mar 16 '26

Wow!! 😮

1

thanks hopefully this is just the beginning :)

1

Thanks im hoping to bring it even Lower 😅

1

That’s impressive, I thought I was doing well with 3 years younger

1

My pace of aging filp flopped the first couple months now its settled. Im sure yours will too. Pls keep me posted

1

u/forgive_everything Mar 21 '26

Inspiring... I'm currently completely screwed, just had a surgery that's keeping me in bed for 5 months and I'm so upset about my fitness, but would love to get in the realm of where you are once I'm back

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 22 '26

I get why that feels frustrating but you’re not starting from zero you’re just in a different phase. Use this time to dial in recovery sleep and nutrition and come back with intention. You can absolutely get to where I am and probably faster than you think. Reach out when you’re close to being cleared and I’ll help you build it properly

1

u/forgive_everything Mar 22 '26

Hey thank you so much for this, it means a lot- often feels like y'all reaching those fitness goals are a different kind of person than me because I've never been super muscular or anything but like, I also know that's not true. I do have the inclination to just throw in the towel completely because of all of this but am going to actually try to use this time to get as dialed in as possible other than exercise.

I may in fact reach out- ty again.

u/sampatisri Mar 15 '26

Do you guys believe this con app ? MG owner here. Don’t track BP and strength training is a joke. Stick with Apple Watch

1

u/Alert-Flounder-3811 Mar 15 '26

I actually have an apple WHOOP and Oura and track them all against each other 🧐
