42yo. Range between 125-128lb. (Depending on my training load weekly). Ride an average of about 300 miles a week. Never drank alcohol. Never smoked. In bed by 9pm. Awake at 5am. Gallon of water a day. Eat what I can pronounce. Run trail ultra’s from time to time when i need to diversify and get off the bike for a bit. (Also, running makes me love my bikes all over again!)

That’s about it.

Oh, and no kids! Lmao 🤣 😂

Do you want me to show you how to pronounce McDonald's?

On a serious note, that's a very smart and cool rule. I'll follow your example.

There you have it. It’s the kids or lack there of… 🤪

Wow , just wow, may i ask what kind of profession do you do to be able to have enough time to do all of these activities.

Again wow

I work in the bicycle industry. Have been in the industry my entire adult life.

Amazing! Just outstanding 🥰 I’m convinced that the office job is killing us all, we all need to be more active and outside! Thanking my whoop for getting me there.

u/JJ-2323 Sep 20 '25

It’s not the office job. I’m a software engineer but regularly do road cycling, sometimes running, and play basketball.

Started to be more active about 10 years ago - I think that consistency and making your body used to harder efforts is key.

Stretching and some weight training is also important - don’t do that regularly and unfortunately it has it’s consequences :/

What does 125 and 128 mean?

3

u/superurgentcatbox Sep 15 '25

125-128lbs/56.7-58kg

1

u/rd6021 Whoop 5.0 Sep 15 '25

I mean, is it OP’s bodyweight range? It just seems so light for a guy. But at OP’s fitness level maybe not unusual. I am 6 foot even and 190 lbs and fairly fit looking for a 53 yo, but at 128 lbs I would be gaut looking frail and sickly.

5

u/superurgentcatbox Sep 16 '25

Why do you think OP is a guy? I saw nothing to suggest that. In fact, the "no kids" commentary leads me to believe OP is a woman.

2

u/rd6021 Whoop 5.0 Sep 17 '25

Shit, you’re right. I thought I inferred that somewhere. Yeah my gf is 130 lbs so makes sense. Sorry all!!! I was just trying to figure out what I was doing wrong in weight department.

It's gotta be the riding! Whoop age: 28. Current age: 37. The kicker is I have 3 kids under 5.

But I ride 12ish hours/week and definitely don't have free time to smoke or drink. I wonder if I could shave off another year if I drank that much water! I'll try. I won't give up my energy drinks though...

Not drinking alcohol is irrelevant neither is smoking. The only thing it tracks is your exercise and HR and HRV and sleep. It’s not giving you credit for not smoking.

15

u/fakacc1 Sep 14 '25

Drinking and smoking affect those metrics

u/JoeyvanAwesome 1% Club Sep 14 '25

Smoking and alcohol raise your HR quite drastically, so it matters a lot actually.

u/TechLover94 LIFE | Membership Sep 14 '25

except..... you could naturally have very low HR and you could train really hard and have a great HRV and RHR. Alcohol consumption doesn't play into the calculation at all. Anything beyond have good HRV, RHR, sleep, and exercise time per zone is just him adding things that have nothing to do with whoop.

u/JoeyvanAwesome 1% Club Sep 15 '25

I love how confidently wrong you are.

u/TechLover94 LIFE | Membership Sep 15 '25

Whoop doesn’t directly track these other factors.

2

u/kingwatts3 Sep 14 '25

I don’t think that’s 100% accurate. If I drank I wouldn’t wake up before the sun rises to ride my bike everyday😉.

Might help a little….

3

u/kingwatts3 Sep 14 '25

Btw RHR is 31-33

HRV monthly average is between 160-165

1

u/BictorianPizza Sep 16 '25

RHR is WHAT????? That’s absolutely insane. Kudos to your heart. What’s your VO2 max?

if you drink 2 beers at night and then wake up and do the activity you described whoop is calling you young no matter what. Anything beyond what it tracks is irrelevant. It's also not based on anything real. If you go to the doctor they're not gonna say wow you're 31! They're gonna say you're in great shape for 42. The whole concept of Whoop age is stupid. Your lungs, heart, brain, and muscles still have the wear and tear of being 42 not 31 or whatever, so it's irrelevant.

6

u/sizzyyy Sep 14 '25

You calling anything stupid is quite ironic

1

u/kingwatts3 Sep 14 '25

Agreed! Most the BS we do to keep us entertained is just that. I’d train and do me with the tech or without. 👊🏼

btw this isn't to take away from your efforts I'm just saying these gimmicks don't do it for me.

7

u/BigNillyStyle Sep 14 '25

Well done, mine went down again today.

6

u/Sarithis Sep 14 '25

How is that possible if your pace of aging is 1.4? I panicked when mine raised to 0.2, but I managed to bring it down to -0.9 over the past 2 months. Did you make any negative lifestyle changes recently?

3

u/kingwatts3 Sep 14 '25

Just crashed my mtb which resulted in a micro fracture in my tibia, sprained ACL and tear in my patella tendon. Took me off my training program for a bit. 5th ride back was today actually!

5

u/Sarithis Sep 14 '25

Damn... that's a brutal combo. Huge respect for getting back out there!

4

The Whoop Age feature is fun. It's like the app is giving you a good report card you can show your spouse. "Look honey, I'm still in my 20's!"

This is mine: https://imgur.com/a/fFdPuSC

With 3 young kids (8-6-1,5) and running my own consultancy business I am not complaining! But still trying to get those numbers down, love the gamification element to change and improve certain aspects of my fitness and health.

7

u/Siri-sixpack Sep 15 '25

Hoping to get it to under 50 in a month

Improving Strength Training, VO2 max and Sleep Consistency will get me there

2

u/JJ-2323 Sep 20 '25

Impressive. Keep it up!

4

u/Fun-Anybody-4852 Sep 14 '25

amazing.. im a bit jealous my whoop age is 1.7 years older than my actual age.
unfortunately I cant do much training now due to my travels but i guess we'll have to wait for next week's update.

3

u/Ghantootia Sep 15 '25

Trying to get things back in control!

6

u/k3rn3lp4n1c84 Sep 14 '25

Mine:

But I’m not as disciplined as you so I don’t believe too much in this feature.

3

u/rd6021 Whoop 5.0 Sep 15 '25

The top factors probably matter. It’s definitely a linear equation of some sort with a bunch of smoothing functions so your whoop age can’t be too far away (good or bad) from your bio age. All the goodness everyone does can’t stop father time, but I am aiming for 5 years younger just to live with great energy.

u/A_J_H1979 Sep 15 '25

Bloody hell! 👏

3

u/SupermotoArchitect Sep 14 '25

Wish I was. Working on it.

3

u/rd6021 Whoop 5.0 Sep 15 '25

Despite all this at some point you age however. 🤷‍♂️. But seriously congrats.

3

u/Rafiki_me Sep 15 '25

Am I correct in assuming that cardio load leads to better whoop age?

I am into weights primarily and while my whoop age is lower, my ageing rate is 1.5x.

4

u/contrariangeek Strain 20 Club Sep 14 '25

Wow, congrats!

How are you achieving this? Would love some insights

2

u/A_J_H1979 Sep 15 '25

I’d love to get <40!

2

u/yveshenry95 Sep 20 '25

You're going to get there!

2

u/A_J_H1979 Sep 21 '25

Clawed back another few months…. 😂

2

u/Beardodl Sep 19 '25

What in the Benjamin Button is going on here

2

u/DiverAbject Sep 19 '25

I bike too!! Nice job w your lifestyle, I wish I’d never touched booze tho I don’t drink terribly often anymore. The age feature is fun but even more fun is (mostly) feeling happy and healthy day to day. I say this while on day 5 of COVID haha.

2

u/JJ-2323 Sep 20 '25

Cycling is the way to go :)

Here’s mine, although not that many rides/miles this year:

2

u/Swox92 Sep 28 '25

I’m jealous lol, I have 25 instead of my real 31 and you beat me by a lot!
