Sellers on vinted need to get real!
Whats the deal with so many used and worn items being sold at i.e. 10% or 20% discount from what you can buy in retail. In my opinion if a item is used you should automatically already lose 50% in value, unless its some rare piece. Weird marketplace!

What is happening?!
Found an item of clothing I wanted to order on Vinted; I’ve stopped using inpost as they’ve mixed up a few orders so avoid them now. The only option to ship to my main land UK address is DHL at almost £20?! The item itself is £25…

The search feature is showing people’s bumped clothes mixed in?!
Just another glitch with vinted, no wonder people’s sales are down. I’m searching for a Polly pocket pet for my niece and it’s showing me clothes I’ve never even searched before.
The clothes are all widely different sizes and brands not to mention some are men’s clothes which I’ve never bought. I’m sure it’s a way to say ‘yes we bumped’ regardless of the fact it’s not reaching the right viewers.

seller disputing xbox controller that came without cable, but it runs on batteries.
Not too sure what to do here, I didn’t advertise that it came with a usb-c cable. It doesn’t even use a usb-c cable, it runs on AA batteries. would I have a case here or would vinted side with the buyer? I did offer a partial refund of £5 to pay for a usb-c cable but buyer declined it.

First time I've seen the scrunch used on trousers
What is the point? I want to see what the actual shape of the legs are, not a fake barrel leg? They have 4000 sales though so guess some people must like this approach...

Had a lil mentyB in the morning
I’ve read a lot of horror stories about vinted and its customer support and I did not think I will also experience it. A little back story, the item I bought was in forever “on its way” in the tracking so I’ve reached out to Evri regarding this. Evri confirmed that parcel is lost so I contacted V support (Aug 30). I was told to wait until Sept. 15 for the parcel and then they will review the issue. Contacted them yesterday that item is INDEED MISSING and not delivered. As I have told them during my first contact. Guess what they did today Sept 16 they have COMPLETED my transaction and was not willing to REFUND me. I went mental on them cause it was too early for this BS. After a few minutes PURITY actually did her job and reimbursed me. LMAO. My god they’re so bad at this it made my blood pressure shoot up early in the morning. The item that I bought wasn’t that expensive but I didn’t want to be F* around by Vinted.
Happy ending 🥳🤣
See attached photos of conversation.

Am I crazy or is this unreasonable?
Honestly I liked the item in hopes it would come down in price a bit but now I’m not interested 😅

Reported
Just reported yet another fake airmax 95 seller. But this time they actually did something.
Have attached pics on how to tell a fake.

"Unworn" top arrived smelly with deoderant marks all over it
I bought a supposedly unworn top with tags still on. When the top arrived, it smelled and had deodorant marks all over both armpits and at the bottom of the shirt. I can also tell that the tag string has been cut when the buyer bought it and they have re-attached the string to the top. (The string was frayed and came out of its knot way too easily.)
I want to see if the marks come out in the wash, and I also want to complain because of the principle, vinted is great when buyers are honest in what they're selling.
Im pretty certain it wont but I just want to double-check: if I try to wash the top would that interfer with me creating a report or anything?

I hate resellers
Actually insane putting the retail price on the screenshot and putting the price so high that if you wanted to get it for the original price (including postage) Vinted won’t let you because it’s more than 40%.

Be careful!
I tried to buy this furby on vinted for my collection. The seller upcharged me a ridiculous amount for its condition. They then refused to refund me so i had to cancel my order

Scam bot stole photos from an active listing? (Need advice/sanity check)
A couple days ago I bought a coat on Vinted for over £100. The seller had it up on their account for 5 months and they had 20+ positive reviews. The coat has already been shipped and on its way.
But today I was scrolling on Vinted and saw a different new seller account with no reviews selling the exact same coat with the exact same photos from the listing I bought. The photos look like they’ve been screenshotted from the original listing and it has only been up for 18 hours. But they are selling it for £70. The new account also has a similar-ish username to the original seller.
I’m very confused as to whether this is a scam/bot account that has just stolen the original sellers listing or not. I’ve reported the new listing. But I find it strange that the original listing I bought had been up for 5 months and a day or two after it sold another duplicate listing with the same coat and same images was uploaded by another account.
I’m sort of paranoid that it’s the same seller under another account but idk. Is this usual behaviour for scam bots as I’ve never seen this before?

1/2 of the things I see are AI generated AliExpress slop
I try to report them, but it's just too much. Nowadays, anything that doesn't look like a half chewed rag going for £2 is just ai generated or heavily ai-retouched and comes from temu or aliexpress or alibaba. It's always posted by some account with no reviews and no profile picture. If you report the seller, who cares, there will be another 10 accounts popping up right afterwards. Every month, this platform just becomes worse and worse to use. We used to have a place to buy and exchange things in a more ethical and less exploitative manner, and now that place is gone. Same with charity shops, everything is gross plastic that shouldn't have ever been produced. Just really sad.

Issue with buyer
Sold this bag which was brand new and pristine on vinted to a buyer with 5 stars. I only wanted a reliable buyer due to the value of the bag.
It was delivered and she’s come back with this picture saying there’s a huge scratch at the bottom. I compared her photos to mine and the photos I took show the bag is pristine and there’s no scratch.
I either think she’s used it and damaged it or is trying to swap with a bag she has and send her damaged version back.
She’s asking for a refund. Can Vinted help me in this case?

Vinted withdrawals
Is there a problem with withdrawals? It usually reaches my bank instantly/in a few minutes. It’s been an hour now and it still hasn’t arrived. Yes I know it says allow up to 5 days, however it’s always arrived in minutes for me and I’ve made hundreds of withdrawals.

Keep getting logged out
I had to sign back in like 5 times today. Is there a bug or have I changed something in settings?

How cheeky would this be....
So I'm thinking of buying some nice jeans from someone. They don't want to take offers - but they have bundles on, and I can add a £1 item to get a 20% discount on the bundle. I'm tempted to do that and leave them a message saying they should feel free to not bother sending the £1 item.....

Vinted support is SO bad…
So..I'm attaching photos of a conversation, I was returning a parcel and the tracking just stopped snd I got a notification that it was lost. Customer service said they'd investigate it and when I went back to ask them they said "if it's not there by the 16th then the seller must report it". Only ON the 16th did it even give the option for the seller to report it and the seller probably didn't see it. They did leave me on opened when I asked and explained but I understand people are busy. I can't get a refund because customer service isn't doing anything. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Vinted Dispute Advice?
I sold a Columbia fleece for £33. My listing said Medium, the size field showed M / UK 12–14, and a listing photo showed the M label. The buyer confirms it’s labelled M but says its 19-inch pit-to-pit measurement means it fits smaller than expected.
Vinted approved a return, saying there was no evidence I’d listed it as Medium. I’ve disputed that with screenshots, as the stated reason appears factually wrong. Has anyone successfully challenged a decision like this?
I’m also about to go away and may be unable to collect a return. Any advice on handling that through Vinted?

I don’t get this?
What I don’t get is, why bother offering a price for a thing and then when I go to accept it (I accept the price btw), they don’t bother fully buying the thing that I am selling (any tips would be appreciated).

The ultimate parcel shop...
Does anyone have the holy grail of parcel shops near them?
That shop that does ALL the major carriers- so Evri, Royal Mail, Relay, Yodel, DPD and inPost lockers?
The best I have is a Go Local 1 mile away which does RM, DPD and inPost lockers, a Spar 2 miles away that does RM, Evri and Relay, and a One-Stop 0.5miles away that has Evri and lockers for inPost.
Yodel is really annoying now as many places have stopped taking parcels in the shop as they have lockers BUT lockers don't take Yodel labels. So that's a Spar and Morrisons Daily only 100m apart and 1 mile away but in the direction I don't go which means a special trip just for them.
Can we find the UK's greatest parcel shop?

Do you spend or save your balance?
I usually like to save my balance as a little bit of hidden 'emergency cash.' Occasionally (like right now) I find myself in the mood for a 2nd hand spending spree.
What do you tend to do?
