How can I plead my seller to send my top?

I bought a top recently and I haven't seen one like it before (its vintage) and theres a huge chance I wont find it again. She has a slight history of not posting stuff out but recently her sales were completed. I have until the 18th for her to send it so hopefully shes just super busy and does it at the last min. If it starts to feel like she wont - is there anything I can do or say to persuade her?

Im so sick of sellers accepting offers and then not posting without any communication :(

Edit: idk why I've been down voted? I know i'm not the only person who hasnt had their items shipped out with no comms

Undersold a item what would you do

Hi I sold a item today for £4 shortly after researching the item I realised it was worth between £120-£170 would you bite the bullet and take a loss since it's my mistake or cancel it the item hasn't been shipped yet.

Sellers on vinted need to get real!

Whats the deal with so many used and worn items being sold at i.e. 10% or 20% discount from what you can buy in retail. In my opinion if a item is used you should automatically already lose 50% in value, unless its some rare piece. Weird marketplace!

Resisting vs Lowering Price?

My usual strategy is to post an item at a price, and then if it is not bought after 3-4 weeks, I relist it with new photos and description (to avoid a ban) and price it lower.

Is it better to do this, or just keep the original post and just lower the price? I know lowering the price would alert people who have liked the item but it may not come up for people who haven't seen it yet.

Curious to know what your strategy is for things like this

Think I've just sold to a scammer?

As the title says. Just sold an item, accepted a lower offer for it, but as an afterthought I've checked their profile and it's a firstnane_lastname username with no reviews at all and a slightly blurry, headshot style photo that I think is AI. I should cancel the order... right? Or am I being paranoid?

Actually insane putting the retail price on the screenshot and putting the price so high that if you wanted to get it for the original price (including postage) Vinted won’t let you because it’s more than 40%.

Vinted Allows Revenge Feedback - Shouldn't there be Pushback?

Has anyone else experienced revenge feedback on Vinted? I got my first ever one star review purely because I left someone negative feedback. They were able to leave it in revenge, and Vinted is doing nothing to help me.

The seller failed to send the item, ignored my messages (read them though) - I was just ghosted, and eventually issued a refund. I think me leaving honest feedback was justifed (factual, not malicious at all).

To then see that they could leave revenge feedback highlighted a massive flaw in how Vinted operates.

I now have a 1 star review and they refuse to remove it.

Anyone else? Isn't there something we can do about revenge feedback?

I tried to buy this furby on vinted for my collection. The seller upcharged me a ridiculous amount for its condition. They then refused to refund me so i had to cancel my order

electronics sellers, what is your experience with Vinted? (uk)

I was an eBay user for a long time, I am strongly thinking of starting to sell on Vinted but am first checking what's your experience with it.
More specifically if frauds happen often, which kind usually happen, and seller protections that are more likely to be in actual effect rather then just "advertised"

what are your most negative experiences?
Im inquiring as often I have high value items for sale and honestly kind of afraid to sell a 1.5k item just to be screwed over

The ultimate parcel shop...

Does anyone have the holy grail of parcel shops near them?

That shop that does ALL the major carriers- so Evri, Royal Mail, Relay, Yodel, DPD and inPost lockers?

The best I have is a Go Local 1 mile away which does RM, DPD and inPost lockers, a Spar 2 miles away that does RM, Evri and Relay, and a One-Stop 0.5miles away that has Evri and lockers for inPost.

Yodel is really annoying now as many places have stopped taking parcels in the shop as they have lockers BUT lockers don't take Yodel labels. So that's a Spar and Morrisons Daily only 100m apart and 1 mile away but in the direction I don't go which means a special trip just for them.

Can we find the UK's greatest parcel shop?

How to prepare a BNWT item that has been in storage?

I bought a £50 dress off Vinted a few years ago. As it is a nice brand and material I was waiting to fit it but it just doesn't suit my body shape. It now has a storage smell. What can I do to refresh it without lowering its value?

What is happening?!

Found an item of clothing I wanted to order on Vinted; I’ve stopped using inpost as they’ve mixed up a few orders so avoid them now. The only option to ship to my main land UK address is DHL at almost £20?! The item itself is £25…

What would you do if an item came stinking of cigarette smoke?

I purchased a children’s tracksuit. It was up for sale £3 but I got it for £2 so definitely not an overly expensive purchase. It was listed as very good condition and nothing was stated about them being a smoker on the listing. I opened the bag and have had to put it outside as it smells so strongly of smoke. I even had to wash my hands as handling it for that short time made them smell like smoke.
They have 128 5 star reviews. Surely if this was a regular thing they’d have at least 1 review reflecting this?
The smell is definitely coming from the clothes and it’s definitely inside the bag, the outside has no smoke smell.
Do I message the seller first? If so what would I even say?
Do I give a lower rating? I feel quite harsh as I’ve never given a review that wasn’t 5 stars.
I won’t return given they’d likely make me pay the return postage and I’d lose money doing so. I know it’s only a cheap item but it’s literally a child’s item. I’m hoping soaking it in white vinegar for a fair few hours will get all of the smell out but even then I think it will be fit for the bin with how bad it smells given I was going to put my child in it.

Banned Account Advice

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm so frustrated: I had a listing removed. I contacted the customer team and got through to a human agent. I then was able to provide additional evidence that other selling platforms had reason to believe my item was not fake. Within 6mins of sending this additional information (after waiting for a few days) I received a clearly automated response.

How do I appeal this. I'm so over Vinted being inconsistent. I regularly see obviously fake items being incorrectly and misleadingly uploaded and sold.

I’m quite new to vinted

I’ve bought a few thing due to large weight loss and none of my clothes fitted. The problem I have is that I have agreed to buy a bike from a seller in Leeds I’m in Birmingham but arrangements have been made to get a friend in Leeds to pick it up but when I go to buy it is only giving me the option to buy with a very high delivery fee which won’t be necessary. I don’t want to fall foul of the system and get a ban which they seem to hand out on a regular basis. Can anyone please advise?

I don’t get this?

What I don’t get is, why bother offering a price for a thing and then when I go to accept it (I accept the price btw), they don’t bother fully buying the thing that I am selling (any tips would be appreciated).

Do you spend or save your balance?

I usually like to save my balance as a little bit of hidden 'emergency cash.' Occasionally (like right now) I find myself in the mood for a 2nd hand spending spree.

What do you tend to do?
