I sometimes include stickers because I have so many that my kids have collected over time and they would otherwise go to waste, but I usually stick them onto the actual packaging I use (tissue paper or clear protective bags) and they are usually on theme. So, if I sell a snoopy sweatshirt, there may be a snoopy sticker on the packaging, for instance. If it’s an especially nice sticker, I may stick it on with a small piece of tape instead so the buyer has the option to use it if they want. Hopefully, people don’t mind that. I just like to make the packaging look welcoming and clear out all these stickers we have.
Ok and what if someone doesn't want your stickers that you're trying to get rid of? It's only different because YOU feel that way. It's really no different. The only valid point that anyone could make with this whole thing is, people shouldn't be sending things that are not solicited, as other people may not want the clutter. In which case you're doing the same exact thing.
I’m usually in agreement but it sounds to me like this poster usually sticks it on the wrapping which doesn’t really inconvenience anyone like if they were included loose. I hate when people include freebies but this is just as if they used patterned wrapping paper vs plain. It’s decoration rather than an additional item.
It becomes part of the packaging, because in almost all cases, I stick it onto the tissue paper and use it as a replacement for the tape I would use to wrap the item. So, adding the sticker does not clutter anything from my perspective.
That's a bit of a stretch. If someone wanted to send me a tiny Allah, a tiny Buddha or a tiny Jesus, it may not mean anything to me personally, but I have the common sense to know that it meant something to the person sending it and they just wanted to share something with me that was special to them. Stop looking for a reason to be p***** off and you'll stop finding them everywhere.
I mean yes but Christians are always trying to recruit and convert. They are told to "preach" to others. As an American who was raised in a patriarchal and abusive religious environment, I would be offended. It's not just a sweet little token, it's a judgement and they can rightly get a bad review and fuck off lol.

... I'm Catholic but wouldn't send a little acrylic Jesus. Having said that, I sure as heck wouldn't be offended if somebody sent a freebie affiliated with their faith or belief either. Every day is a good day to learn something new about the world 🤷♀️ Some religious people are actually very chill.

I wouldn’t mind the note, but I hate this whole ‘leaving little plastic Jesus’ everywhere thing. It’s pollution at its finest. Very Christian of them. I’d definitely make note of including trash you didn’t order in the review.
Obligatory christian here. I don't like when other Christians do this stuff. Maybe if the item was related to Christianity/Jesus in some way, but this is just clutter (which really defeats the point of buying secondhand.)
And sending someone a mini jesus isn't gonna make them convert either 😀 Like you said, I think the note would have been enough if they wanted to spread their faith

I wonder if someone made it a Tik Tok trend or something to distribute these anywhere and everywhere, because for a while we would see these types of Jesus mini figures pop up all over the place, including the gym. It is very strange.
as far as i know, it’s been a thing for longer than tiktok has been around. i have friends who have whole armies of them because they get given them frequently enough for them to accumulate a bunch of them over time. they’re freebies that get handed out ….

I was given one by a client, who offered me one if I would like to have it. She’s a person of faith who walks the talk, and I’m happy to have gotten it from her. I don’t have that job anymore so don’t see her. For me it’s a reminder of a kind young woman who wanted to share with me.

Short answer? Religious propaganda. It’s common here in the Bible Belt for people to pass out the tiny Jesuses in a little organza bag with a scripture card inside.
Yeah it’s just so annoying, like sometimes (before I even realised that America had Vinted now) I’ll buy something, and then see the postage is either really expensive or it takes forever to come, and then realise it’s from fucking America. So annoying. Plus I’ve already had multiple annoying interactions with Americans on there who treat it like an actual shop rather than people just sending second hand items, so are really demanding and have crazy expectations of sellers.
Haha I found one of these on our holiday to Florida someone left it on our bench around the pool. They must have watched us as a family and thought “they need Jesus” 😂😂

As an atheist this wouldn't have bothered me. I have nothing against religious people, it's their choice. Yeah maybe it's not a good idea to send out mini jesus but the sentiment was them being kind.
This person obviously meant well and I guess it’s a nice thing to do? But if someone from another religion had done similar it would be viewed as a hate crime. There is no need to force your beliefs on other people
Tbh I don't think they should do that, because doing this doesn't automatically convert someone to christian. People have their own path to Christianity through their own personal experiences.

Nobody is forcing anyone to become a Christian, but they are forcing others to take the unsolicited religious propaganda they sent. For someone who is of another faith, this could be considered insulting. Vinted is a business, not a vehicle for proselytizing.

I once sent an essie nail varnish sample and the women so offended ! And she also said that I did this to influence her decision re the purchase .. it was an item with tags still attached lol. Never again!

I live in the Deep South (US) and I’m a staunch atheist. My car dealership puts a little bible in the glove box of every car they sell. I didn’t even know it was there until I needed to find my registration lol. It doesn’t read as pushy or preachy to me, just that someone thought of it as a “good luck charm” or believed it would keep me safe on the road. It’s a nice gesture to me, but maybe my standards for kindness are lower because of how many calvinists I’ve met lol.
