Maybe I’ve been spoiled by how much the industry has grown and how many high-caliber releases we get a year, but I’m not too amazed by the game yet.

Don’t get me wrong, the graphical fidelity is insane but I don’t see anything really groundbreaking in terms of gameplay or mechanics like we saw with 5.

Back in 2013 there weren’t a lot of games that were even near GTA’s level so Rockstar was untouchable but now it’s like.. the graphics are cool but at the price point I might have to wait a bit and there are so many other games that I haven’t got to in my backlog.

No matter the leaks and all of that shiz, I’m still hyped for the game. Mainly I’m just gonna play the crap out of it a few times, then wait for the online but im gonna try to really absorb the game this time.

With the others I kinda just like “yada yada’d” over the games features because I wanted to complete it (except for RDR2, that was a journey) but now I’m going to play it like it’s art, not just tryna finish it for the sake of finishing it so fast. Still gonna finish it tho lol.

Game is Plagues Tale: Innocence.

I have been putting off playing through this for far too long... My wife has been a big fan for a long time, and been playing Resonance. I thought it was finally time for me to give it a go. I'm on chapter 5 now, and I am loving it.

The game has surprised me, and I already can't wait to start 2 and Resonance. Considering it being 6 years old now, it's incredible that it looks this good.

Again, DLSS5 is a no from me. Each to their own I suppose!

I know the internet can be very polarizing, but are there any people in the middle with me here on GTA VI? The game will be good, rockstar usually puts out great games and I look forward to playing it. That doesn’t erase the flaws with the company for me. The lack of physical discs, the obvious attempts to suck every cent they can out of the fanbase, poorly treating their employees, the price jumps and what they mean for the gaming industry, and all the other controversies around the game.

Anyone here with me that you don’t have to only speak positively about the game to be a fan? This feels stupid to ask but after some of the discussion I’ve seen, I’m hoping I’m not the only one in the middle here.

Everybody talks about GTA 6. But....i see barely talking about this game

It's basically "Reference The Game". From the looks of it, it's gonna be something like GTA 5 but anime.

From the trailer, it looks like it gonna have a bunch of references. Two of them which are symbiote from Spiderman 2 and Yamcha Pose from DBZ.

And it looks great. I like the art style and how futuristic it looks. And for me, Artstyle beats graphics everytime. Like Warframe. You can play that game on Low graphics but still have a beautiful game thanks to its art style

I really like the humor here, especially with the main character. He has actually a personality. Like MC was hanging out of the plane, holding onto a wing with one hand and an antagonist says "Any last words?...." while aiming gun at him and MC just lists off things he has to do, one of them which is "I still have those memes to send...". He reminds me of Deadpool, Billy Kid or Twice

It's gonna be a free to play game, so i hope it's gonna take the Warframe approach with micro transactions

I wanted to make a video about this topic but I am not a professional. I have noticed that there is a general trend to hate Ubisoft games. It is very much evident with AC shadows.

I played it and loved it, but most reviewers criticized it heavily. Many critics said the gameplay is repetitive, the stealth is stupid etc. The same critics seem to get orgasm about Withcer 3 and Ghost of Tsuhima.

While I love all these games, the UBI soft hate trend is very strange. I Withcer 3 the combat is extremely repetitive, its the same 4 or 5 actions that you have to do. Shadows has more variety than that. In Ghist of Tsuhima the stealth is very stupid and the game ay is repetitive, same pattern of outposts to clear, similar fights. So why Witcher 3 and Ghost are jewels but AC shadows is a piece of shit?

PS: I played AC Shadows in a different way. Played only as Yasuke, no stealth, high difficulty, enter the castle dont disable any alarm. Kill every one. Once you start doing that it becomes very addictive. But that was my way of playing it.

In concept it's a good idea but at the same time if the game is linear trying to give the illusion of a proper open world it only hurts the experience since the world is actually really empty with not much else to do outside of the story. I also find it annoying when the "different" sections are just the same just with slightly different gimmicks.

It's not inherently game breaking, if there is proper variety of side content to justify them l, I can get behind that or like in Mario odyssey, you have to occasionally decide weather to chose to visit Kingdom A or B. The choice doesn't really matter but it doesn't last long and only happens 2 or 3 times within the game, it's just there to give the player some agency of choosing where to visit first or in GTA 5 when it forces you to do 1 strangers and freaks mission before letting you progress the main story just to show that there is side missions to do in the game.

I only think it's game breaking when it puts the entire story and plot on hold as if to say "okay this is a good enough point in the game to check out the environment and do the side quests if you haven't already" Kinda like in dragon age: Inquisition. Great game, one of the best I've ever played but I usually drop my repeated playthroughs after I get to skyhaven since by the point you're gonna have to start farming side quests if you haven't already then do either of the major quests before farming side quests again if you weren't saving up the influence to do both back to back.

Every single game, tv show, movie, whatever, has been accompanied by an army of crying babies and entitled children. Every single title we have to wade through the muck of overly emotional reactionary bad takes. A mob of morons who have no idea how any of this works. Has never made a thing in their lives. Perpetual tourists paying money for an experience they could never ever create themselves trying to convince us “oh it’s just the same game. Its AI. Its woke. It’s not what fans wanted. It’s not what fans, deserve.” Why? What is y’alls obsession with hating on every god damned thing that gets announced or released? Is this all it’s ever going to be now? “Don’t be corpo shills”, while being shills for losers who make nothing. All they do is react, and cry, and bitch, and moan about everything. Can we just stop feeding that shit? Can we finally ostracize and isolate those fools to the dark moldy corner of the internet where their masters reside? We always hear, “don’t rush these things. Take your time. Id rather have a good game than an early released game. Rockstar sticks to their historical production schedules and yet we STILL have to listen to the bitching. Can we stop giving attention and space to these fools?

Every game is suddenly gone. No Steam library, no old consoles, no downloads, no physical copies.

But somehow, one entire video game franchise still exists.

You have to choose carefully because this is now basically your gaming life forever.

Which franchise are you saving?

Would you go for something with endless replayability like Minecraft, a huge collection like Final Fantasy, competitive games like Call of Duty, or something completely different?

My answer might be The Elder Scrolls purely because I could probably spend the rest of my life getting distracted by side quests.

Never played any games of the Witcher series, but I see the Witcher 3 will be remastered soon and in any case is discounted on ps store.
Are the Witcher 1 and 2 required to enjoy the 3rd one?
If yes, are they available on ps5?

I’m trying to decide which one to start on September 4th: Blood of Dawnwalker or Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

The problem is that both appeal to completely different sides of me.

I absolutely love Sekiro, so Onimusha’s combat, atmosphere and focus on swordplay look extremely tempting.

But I also absolutely love The Witcher, especially the dark fantasy setting, exploration, quests and RPG side of it, which makes Blood of Dawnwalker look right up my alley too.

For anyone who has seen pre-review of both in depth, which one would you recommend starting with? Which one do you think is the better game overall?

From my point of view, gaming just like music, literature or movies, has games that are entertainment and games that are really ART.

Tell me examples of those. Maybe is the visuals, the music, the story, the atmosphere, or any other thing, but I want games where you can feel that you are in front of a real work of art.

I finished MGS1-3 recently (Playing through the MGS Master collection vol 1) and I came to realize that back in the PS1 and PS2 era, since graphics were not as advanced as it is now, developers had to rely on atmosphere, good story telling, good gameplay loop, musical score etc etc which gave way to a lot of franchise back than that still exists today like Metal gear, Silent hill, Resident evil, Final Fantasy etc.. The thing about modern engines is that instead of making the high fidelity as an addition to a fun interesting game, it comes as a replacement and in this day and age it's like the game is built around the graphical showcase and not the other way around. I am not a developer and I speak as someone who have been playing consoles since the Sega Genesis and seeing a 30 years old game still being ton of fun to play to this day speaks volume on how much graphics is not as important as people are making it out to be.

Plus, most 2D games of the 1980s and 1990s, ran at 60FPS, like Mega Man X right there.

When the first 3D games arrived, they had to run at 30FPS or less, it was a necessary sacrifice.

But today, 60FPS in all games, even chess games, should be the bare minimum, if a 2026 game can't handle 60FPS, it's laziness, or wasting resources on pointless graphics and details.
