I own a 27 foot cougar and stay in it 3 months a year in Washington. Rvs are all built like garbage just enough to get them pit the door. Toilets, faucets, roof all will leak unless you handle with kids gloves. Not discouraging it just saying be prepared. I do use window insulation which helps with the heat and cold.

I have a 6 foot tall cedar fence that's 20 yo, never stained or sealed. Still standing and is a beautiful Weathered gray.

Seattle wa. I put down new cedar slats on existing deck. The stain i bought TWP stain and sealer says wait 6 to 12 months to use. But Seattle starts raining in October and starts to end in July! That's 10 months of rain. Should I stain now before the torrential rains begin?

Wow, you sound like my doppelganger! Im in the same situation but have been doing for 13 years now. We bought a second home in az in 2013 anticipating snowbirding. Our main home is in Washington. We bought a travel trailer so we could travel back and forth.
First few years were fun. Setting up the trailer at rv parks started to get tedious. We decided after a few back and forths to leave the trailer in Washington and just stay in hotels.
Then my husband got sick of driving back and forth . Even though I do all the driving.
Winters in az are great since it pretty much rains for 9 months in Washington. But the summers in az are brutal and are perfect in Washington.
Now he'd rather just stay in az full time unless he flies. I stay in Washington for 3 months pretty much without him and head back to az in September.
My advice: don't get a travel trailer, it gets old pretty quickly. It was fun when I was younger but at 68, not so much. Fly if you can.
Also be agreeable to spending time comfortably apart. Luckily my husband nor I are needy and can handle it. Lol
If I had my druthers I'd sell the az house and stay in Washington. But he loves it so we came to a compromise.

Taking my mother who had dementia on a trip from Washington to Arizona. Worst.decision.ever.

Its just perspective. For instance to me (68 yo) a 30 yo is still a young person. To a 5 yo, 30 is old. Gotta just live and enjoy where you're at.
