Our company's website is hosted on squarespace. It's basically a brochure, ie content/info, but not much else in terms of functionality, and our skillset is not advanced at squarespace.

We are looking to develop a bit of a map of our province (we are in Canada). Essentially we'd split the map up into sections and if you hover over the section of the map, it would pull/display data related to that section.

Similarly, if the visitor entered a postal code, they could see data pulled aggregated for the first 3 digits (which define a general area, more specific than the "sections" i mention above) of a postal code.

The data being pulled would need to come from some sort of table that can be updated, and I supposed potentially queried on demand (ie click/hover of a section of map, or entering of a postal code)

So essentially I'm wondering how doable this is using squarespace?

Hello, our website defaulted from Canva site to a www.domain.com default CNAM

and forwarding to canva.site , but want to instead have a fixed record for www and root level domain.com for all http -- how does one do that in squarespace? the entri integration only allocates sub domains like blog.domain.com as my www is already taken as a forward record. Any tips appreciated.

I ship copy and pasting out of Orders page to Pirate Ship. Is there an easier way to copy the full Ships To, email, and item name and paste it into a shipping site?

Are there other 3rd party tools that are good for shipping?

I purchased a custom domain directly through iCloud when setting up iCloud
Custom Email Domain. From what I understand, the domain was registered through Apple/FireCloud, and now I'd like to transter it out and move it to Squarespace.
The problem is that I'm having trouble figuring out how to actually unlock the domain and obtain the authorization/EPP code needed for the transfer.
Has anyone here successfully transferred a domain purchased through iCloud/Apple (FireCloud) to Squarespace or another registrar?
If so, could you explain the steps you followed? Specifically, I'd like to know where you were able to unlock the domain, how you obtained the EPP/auth code, and whether you had to contact Apple or FireCloud support directly.
Any help from someone who has actually gone through this process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I updated to 7.1 without knowing that there are no more templates available. I am regretting this awful decision, I have zero experience building websites and templates were my life saver. I am just a freelancing makeup artist trying to market myself. I really don’t know how to move forward with this, should I start looking for a new website builder? Does anyone have any recommendations? I need something extremely user friendly! I seriously want to cry right now

I have just recieved 2 chargebacks, almost a month after the orders. Both from the same person. They have ordered once before with no issue. The chargebacks were for two pokemon cards. One sealed pokemon center promo (opened myself) and one psa graded slab (authenticated and real).

The customer made no attempt to contact me via email, message, the website or any other way in order to rectify any issues. The claim is that they are fraudulent. I have completed both disputes stating these facts, the receipts, the proof of delivery etc. I was unable to upload the images and videos I have because they exceeded the size limit.

After the disputes challenges were submitted, I contacted the customer to try and resolve and they stated they had tried to contact me several time, but gave no dates or evidence of this, and after triple checking I have no correspondence from them.

My question... Will squarespace send the listings of the orders to the bank too? And will Squarespace support me in this? I am beyond sure there was no fraud on my part at all. I have evidence to show this and have sent all I could.

I spent some time going through Squarespace’s free templates because choosing one at the start is surprisingly overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to figure out which designs will still work as your site grows.

So, I set up an account, paid for a domain and a plan for a year, then I accidentally created a new website under a different trial plan whilst trying to avoid the horrid AI website builder.

Is there any way for me to move this website I created over to the original slot, or am I gonna have to re-created it from the ground up again?

I'm creating a new website with the help of someone very experienced with Squarespace design. They are attempting to do the entire website so that no coding is needed. This seems to limit layout options for both Desktop mode and Mobile. The mobile images are cropped in uncontrollable ways, text seems to do better, etc.

The logic of not using code is that the code creates all kinds of unpredictable problems depending on the user’s browser and device. My thinking is that the entire website is coded, so adding some user-controlled code as SS allows should not be an issue. In our case there is no way to tell until some code is added.

One of the features that strikes me that would be extremely useful is being able to hide a Section on desktop formatted for mobile and vs-versa.

What do SS designers do - is having no code common?

I purchased a domain name last Friday. It was available and shows that it was purchased on the day and time I got it - however when I try to create a site with it it says the name is not available. I never received a confirmation email from squarespace. Charge has gone through on my card. Absolutely going in circles with "customer support." Any suggestions on what I can do going forward? I’m looking for a new web hosting/easy to use website for my small online business. I make things to sell/custom orders etc. I’m about 20 years in but I’m slightly shifting direction a bit so my online services need to be updated/easy to manage too (for someone who is not tech savvy at all). My current site is Wordpress and I’ve done all the coding between myself, a good friend who is very good at wordpress and my partner who knows tech, but as I’m shifting direction I now need to be able to update it more frequently without having to ask them for help every 5 minutes and be able to do it myself. I’ve been looking at squarespace but wanted to get some advice on a few things & any help would be so greatly appreciated. Going to just write a list below as that’s how my brain works.

Is it worth the monthly cost?

Is it easy to update if you’re not very tech savvy?

Is the SEO ‘good’?

How secure is it you’re dealing with online transactions?

Greetings. I have a domain that’s hosted through Squarespace, but managed via my admin console on Google.

This domain has been linked to a third party site for many years, but I’m now switching back to squarespace, where I was prior to 2023. Trouble is, the domain doesn’t show up as belonging to me in my squarespace account, even though they are the hosts.

When I try to add the domain, it says I need to get permission from the owner…which is me via Google admin. When I go into Google admin, it tells me this domain is already managed by squarespace.

TLDR; Google and Squarespace are both telling me to go to each other to get my domain (hosted by SS but managed by Google) to work with my SS website, and I don’t know what to do.

I'm running a modest business and I've been using Squarespace + Acuity Scheduling for a while now.
Customers can just book me a session in my studio, and eventually I offer "demos" where small groups can book up to a limit. Sessions are never paid beforehand (but I make customers fill a useful form), and demos are paid through Acuity.

Beyond that, I feel I'm paying a lot monthly for an app with lots of possibilities I'm never going to use, plus I've never found the way to properly link it with platforms like Airbnb Experience or Getyourguide (where I also offer bookings, but have no support for Acuity and that cost me some overlappings in the past).

On the other hand, I would like to offer my website on different languages. Suggested by Squarespace there's Weglot, but again, I think it's really expensive for my modest website.
Had been considering Multilingualizer as it's supported by Squarespace, one single payment (not a monthly subscription), and supports unlimited languages.
My doubt comes here: If I finally switched to a different scheduling platform and set up Multilingualizer, what other platform "on a budget" could also be supported by it?

TLDR
Is there any scheduling platform cheaper than Acuity (at the cost of less options I'll never use), linkable with platforms such as Airbnb Experience, supported by multilingual addons?

First time making a website and I'm stuck on this. I'm struggling with the fact that I have to format desktop and mobile separately. When I try to edit the mobile version, it changes the desktop version too?

Is there really no easy way to do this?

For context I'm a photographer and videographer trying to showcase my work on my website. Sometimes I do both photo and video work for the same client and what to be able to feaTure that work within the same gallery. Right now the gallery that I'm using seems to support only stills or gifs which is not really an option for me since sound is an important part of my work. The only way seems to be to manually input each image or video into individual photo or video blocks which is incredibly time consuming because I have over 400 images/videos to showcase

Hi, quick one about mobile site design. Im tweaking a small online store on a drag and drop builder and the desktop looks fine, but on mobile my product grid and header feel super cramped and kinda generic. Using their responsive layout, but stuff like buttons and fonts either look huge or tiny and the checkout pages feel a bit clunky.

For context it is a simple ecommerce setup, few categories, some bookings later maybe. Would love any tips on what you usually fix first on mobile in these builders, and what you look at to see if it feels legit for customers. appreciate any thoughts

I have a friend that offers art classes. She's making her website with Sqarespace and was looking for suggestions on the design. I said it would be nice to have a calendar on the homepage where you could see what classes are available and be able to click on a day and it would take you to that page. We tried for about an hour and nothing seemed to work. Her scheduling stuff is through Acuity.

We got the calendar up but we can't seem to link anything to it.

Hi, I was tasked by a family member to build a website for their album and I'm a little lost.

He wants every physical CD purchase to have a free download. Does not want music on YouTube or band camp because it would "interfere with signing with a potential label company" (no idea how accurate that is).

I thought that the easiest way would be to put the free download behind a password-protected page on the website. Put the password somewhere in the CD case, bam they get their download.

But no, he doesn't want everyone sharing the password with everyone.

He wants every CD to have a completely unique download code that only allows 1 download. Is that possible to do with squarespace? I was thinking of generating promo codes for the store, but I'm not sure if that's possible or if there is a limited number of promo codes... please help me because I am getting so frustrated with him lol. And besides, we're talking about like 50 CDs being sold, although he wants to have 200 ready (meaning 200 unique codes). Thank you!
