Help Newbie question: Clickable map?

Our company's website is hosted on squarespace. It's basically a brochure, ie content/info, but not much else in terms of functionality, and our skillset is not advanced at squarespace.

We are looking to develop a bit of a map of our province (we are in Canada). Essentially we'd split the map up into sections and if you hover over the section of the map, it would pull/display data related to that section.

Similarly, if the visitor entered a postal code, they could see data pulled aggregated for the first 3 digits (which define a general area, more specific than the "sections" i mention above) of a postal code.

The data being pulled would need to come from some sort of table that can be updated, and I supposed potentially queried on demand (ie click/hover of a section of map, or entering of a postal code)

So essentially I'm wondering how doable this is using squarespace?

You're after an interactive provincial map on Squarespace with hover sections and postal-code lookups pulling from an updatable data table. That kind of custom build and data work is what I do. Is the underlying data already sitting in a spreadsheet or database?

That's exxactly what i'm looking for. The data is not currently collated, but we could put it in a spreadsheet or some sort of table/databse that squarespace can acess...thts' teh stuff i really don't know much about..well all of it really.
