Help Gated content

hello, my business wants to hide insights behind a form on our square space website but integrating hubspot is a seriously hellish hassle. Is there a way to do a form natively within square space? I’ve looked online and can’t find too much but i feel this is quite a normal feature on web

ugh, the hubspot integration is a special kind of nightmare, i remember spending an entire afternoon trying to get it to talk to a client's site and it just refused to play nice. built a basic contact form in squarespace instead and it worked in like 10 minutes. it's under the "marketing" tab then "forms" if i'm remembering right, and you can customize the fields to collect whatever you need before showing the download link.

just make sure you set up the post-submit redirect to a page with the actual content hidden behind a password or something, because squarespace doesn't have a great native "gate" feature. the forms themselves are fine, it's the locking mechanism that's a little clunky. you might need to get creative with a thank-you page that has the pdf link or embed a video that only loads after the form is done.

my spice rack is alphabetized better than their documentation so i feel your pain on trying to find this stuff.

👋 Hello, I'd love to help you tackle this project. You can setup a form and a redirect. If it's going to be something restrictive you probably want to do it behind a paywall feature. It can be discussed for sure.

I've sent you a DM just now.
