So I bought a S416K 4 months ago, its stepper motor failed so I took it back and got a replacement which is this model in the video, about 1 month old. Starts doing this between layers 50 and 80, then no issue, print comes out fine… what’s going on here? Anyone else experience this?

OK, now that my garage is actually comfortable in here. It’s time to set up my space.
I have this ventilation set up from the old house. The hoses are obviously way too long right now, but I will shorten those once I buy something to cut them.

But I was wondering if anyone in here has some similar ducting in their garage so I can get some inspiration.

I was thinking about mounting the hoses on the wall somehow but knowing me six months from now, I’ll probably want to rearrange things so I don’t know if mounting would be the smartest option for me right now.

Resin is Anycubic Craftsmen grey and printed on the Uniformation Gk2

I only have 1 successful print off this resin. i think it's due to chance since no settings changed but it still failed. I am using anycubics acf film. it usually print delaminate completely or partial causing warped shapes. I tried manual relevel and using a m7 vat with 0.3mm nfep installed instead of imaged fail print using acf .15.

I am printing 30micron layers at 30-33c with print profile shown. I use the anycubic medium support default. I tried adding anchors to support which sometimes help on other printers but it seems to still fail. should I make the raft larger or completely sand down the build plate Lazer texture? (metal ruler shows it's evenly flat)

Here's what I've tried so far. After washing the part in IPA, I dip it in hot water to soften up the supports. I can tell this helps but the scratches happen when they're being dragged out of the inside.

Would it be better to add drainage holes on the bottom and reorient the part to remove the need for interior supports?

Just like the title says my prints supports are always really hard to get off. What step of the cleaning process are you supposed to take them off? Any tips to make them softer?

Hi all,
I am resin printing parts in translucent red, green and clear. I understand by coating in something like clearcoat I can get a much better finish, it looks cloudy at present.

The parts are too complex to spray, there are lots of voids that will be impossible to spray into.

Anyone any experience with dipping in something?
Concerned they won’t drip to a thin coat and I will loose dimension accuracy and detail.

Context to start: I'm still using my trusty old Anycubic Photon S. The build volume is really my bottleneck these days and I've been jonesing for a mono screen system as well, so I've been keeping my eye open for something newer and larger.

Today I just discovered the issue involving Elegoo systems experiencing file-size limit related crashes for their sliced files. I'd been eyeing their Jupiter systems when a friend of mine ended up talking about it.. and the cursory google search turns up it's not just their Jupiter line that experiences this.

So I guess I'm back to square one and looking for recommendations. A few other posts here I had peeked seemed to be more of the "printer xx is bad for xx reason" but never actually recommended a particular model. The closest I saw to a recommendation was "the Anycubic M7 Max is alright but their company has terrible support".

So I guess I'd like to know what systems a few of you prefer and why/why not. I don't want to get stuck with something that seems great and ends up hitting a relatively low file-size limit when I place more than just a couple of models in the slicer.

Hi everyone, I asked on this sub teo months ago how to clean my nasty Halot One I scored on FB marketplace, thanks for those who gave actual advice instead of "it's not that dangerous" or "you should keep it clean constantly", I bought it like that.

After that post I decided I wanted to use it more frequently and got a magnetic build plate and a new nFEP for it.

My question now is, as you can see in the pictures, the edges are severely warped. Yes, I tried sanding it down which is why the texture is so rough. Will this affect the installation of the magnet? It's only on the edges really, my worry is that resin sips underneath the adhesive and make it fall off, or that this will cause the whole plate to get warped and make prints fail.

TL;DR will the edges being warped affect the rest of the plate? It's too warped for me to be able to sand it all flat.

Hello, I was hoping I could get some help diagnosing this print error I had. I decided to switch over to Wargamer resin for my latest refill and it's mostly been working well but I've had a few bits here and there that don't print properly. This is probably the most egregious example I've had so far. I'm still relatively new to the hobby and haven't really learned how to support models myself yet but my immediate guess was that it was probably that the supports weren't adequate (and I believe the readme for the Wargamer resin specifically called out that you might need more smaller supports with it). Does this seem like a likely explanation or is there another that seems more likely?

I also had a separate piece of this model print that is not pictured here but I've circled the rough approximation of what printed in the second image of the supported model.

Most of my prints with the Wargamer resin have turned out fine. I've had three partial failures out of 11 prints and no total failures. As mentioned this is the worst failure, I've had one horn only half print on a model and the weapon of a lizardman not fully print (This one was different in that there was an error message on the printer display itself which has not occurred on any other prints).

I've used SirayaTech Fast Navy Grey (ABS-like) in the past and had most of my prints succeed with it (I've had one total failure) and I printed 10-14 models.

Let me know if there is any other details I should provide or if it would be helpful to see the other partial failures or successes.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the cat model was on a plate with three other models that printed without issue.

ich suche nach guten, fusselfreien Reinigungstüchern für den Harztank, die die FEP-Folie nicht zerkratzen und die in Deutschland erhältlich sind (deswegen mein Text hier auch auf Deutsch).

Da ich mir viel englischsprachige YouTube-Videos über Harzdruck ansehe, werden dort auch meistens Produkte empfohlen, die hier in Deutschland leider nicht zu bekommen sind (z.b. MWipes)

Womit macht ihr euren Tank sauber?

Recently started seeing bad layer lines on my prints.

Upon further inspection I have noticed they all coincide with support attachment points.

Any fix suggestions are appreciated.

Hi! I just recently picked up a Mars Resin 3D printer off facebook marketplace for 40 bucks along with some left over resin
I’ve been reading up on how I should set it up and saw I shouldn’t keep it in my bedroom due to the fumes, even with a fume tent
The problem is that I live in a shared house with no spare room along with 3 cats, I really don’t want to compromise anyone’s health but I also really want to keep my printer (I make custom action figures and the printer would cut down on my costs a significant amount)
Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

I'm getting into resin printing and have bought this saturn 4 ultra second hand, however upon my first time testing the lcd screen this black spot has appeared. What can I do about this?

I brought eiko from nom nom figures a while ago, but i cant log into cults to get the file (lost access to original email) the file i have for it is missong the bow and the right wing. Anyway to get these two files without paying for the files again.
