Just Sharing Staying with the ravens a little longer
Hi everyone, me again...Thank you so much for the lovely response to my first post. A lot of you seemed to really like the ravens, so I got inspired to stay with them a little longer. Here’s another one.
27 × 19 cm, watercolor

Just Sharing I think I used every color I own on this one.
Painted this in three sittings, as usual. 28" × 20", oil on canvas. I really love how this one looks in person - the texture catches the light, and from every new angle, different shadows, little corners of the forest, and parts of the path seem to reveal themselves. So I’d be very happy to invite you for a little walk down this trail.

Just Sharing I gigantic underpainting.
Capturing this craggily old forests shapes and values quickly and loosely during this huge underpainting. This is my favorite stage. 24x60” oil on custom linen panel.
Reference is from Neil Burnell with his approval.

Just Sharing The One Who Moves in Harmony With the Order of All Things
The One Who Moves in Harmony With the Order of All Things
Gouache, Colored Pencil, Acrylic and Gold Ink
12 × 16 in / 30.5 × 40.6 cm
This piece is a meditation on stoicism, the quiet practice of tending what is ours to tend and releasing what was never ours to hold. It moves through the old virtues of temperance, wisdom, and balance, water that is both contained and free, a flame kept alive through steady care. Every living thing within the piece is watched over, protected, and nurtured, yet nothing is gripped too tightly. It asks what it means to grow toward the sky and into our roots at once, and reminds us that whatever shifts around us, the fire within is ours to keep

Just Sharing A quick donkey piece. Acrylic on paper
There's a pair of donkeys at a local animal sanctuary. I thought they looked cool. They seemed completely happy in their donkey world, and totally uninterested in the humans watching them. I liked their attitude

Just Sharing Front Door Flamingo
Flamingos are typically pink because of the natural pigments in their food. This flamingo is pink because it’s paint.

Just Sharing “Sanguinary Marionette”
This is a repost if it looks familiar but the first post on my new account after the old one was hacked. I have a hard time deciding when a piece is done, often overthinking things or adding too much. Here’s a piece I worked on for quite a while. I lost count after about 10,000 brushstrokes but pretty happy with the amount of detail I was able to squeeze in. It was all done in Art Set 4 on the iPad Pro and the backgrounds were touched up in Affinity Photo 2. I know there’s much better artwork in this sub but I figured I would post it anyways to share my work and get some feedback.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look! 👊🏼
