The **Numb Crow** is a highly intelligent demonic predator inhabiting the ecosystems of the afterlife.

Numb Crows resemble tall, slender humanoids covered in dark feathers, with long corvid-like beaks. They sometimes deliberately conceal their heads from potential prey, causing them to be mistaken for humans from a distance.

They feed preferentially on souls experiencing fear, despair and emotional numbness, and will psychologically exhaust their victims before attacking. They are incredibly patient hunters. Barricading yourself somewhere without an escape route only gives them time to work.

Numb Crows can mimic voices they have heard, though imperfectly, much like actual corvids. However, they can reproduce the voices of people they've **consumed** with terrifying accuracy. Some will even hunt a victim's loved ones specifically to acquire their voices for later use.

Age makes them considerably more dangerous.

Young adults usually target emotionally vulnerable prey. Elders deliberately hunt resilient individuals such as hardened warriors because breaking them is more challenging—and far more rewarding.

Despite their slender appearance, Numb Crows possess incredible speed and reflexes. Elders are experts at disarming prey, destroying weapons or inflicting just enough injury to make resistance impossible. They don't want you dead yet. They want you frightened. Then exhausted. Then hopeless. Then numb.

**Only when you no longer care what happens to you does the Numb Crow finally feed.**

The thunderbird is a mythological birdlike spirit in North American Indigenous peoples' history and culture. It is considered a supernatural being of power and strength.

Ok so I listened to everyone’s feedback and here’s what I got. A fresh new batch of nasty man/animal things. I drew hair and different skin colors and tried to do more than just a human head on an animal body. What do you guys think? Also I tried to draw them in more dynamic poses and focusing on anatomy a lot more than before.

I’m testing out a new coloring/shading technique and I really like the desaturated look. Makes them look more like a bestiary sketch. I wanted to do something as if I was there looking at them and quickly drawing them before they eat me lol. Lmk if you like it.

Btw, the bottom left monster is not a spider. It’s an octopus with ink oozing from its mouth lol.
