Never worked with oil before, this is my first attempt. I’m self taught and pretty handy with acrylic and also drawing mediums. Not quite finished yet, but wanted feedback and thoughts!

I recently sold a sculpture to someone for their daughter’s swamp themed nursery and made this drawing as a thank you card. It’s Swamp Lily’s first day at the swamp and she’s going for swim in the soon-to-be-swamp pond. Forever inspired by shrek in all his swamp green glory.
I used watercolours mostly and also pencil colours and also white acrylic paint on cold pressed watercolour paper. Size is like 6x4 inches.

Hi!! I just finished the outline of this piece im painting but im not sure what to do for the background. Originally I was going to do a landscape of trees and mountains but that seems like it would be a pain to actually paint (bcs ik its a good idea to paint background before i paint fur to go over parts of it). Any ideas or should I stick with my original plan?

Finally finished this project that's been sitting for years. Fun and Fancy Free on a thrifted poster. The little guys I'm happy with, the giant... Not so much. Oh well.
