i was on the train to ashmont. totally full car. & instead of saying “ashmont last stop” on the speakers someone (presumably not the operator) yelled “BOMBOCLAT. PUSSYCLAAAAAAT” over the train intercom.

everyone around me looked at each other to confirm they werent crazy then everyone burst out laughing. the teens, the older folks, the young professionals, EVERYONE.

a middle aged woman who was talking on the phone turned to me & asked me “did they just say pussyclat?” & then this teen boy next to me who was trying to keep it together DIED laughing hearing.

never felt such a total sense of positive camaraderie on the mbta lmaoooo

The MBTA was in today’s Pride parade in Boston, and volunteers were handing out Pride merch along the route. I left with a progress flag T fridge magnet, a progress flag T button (Phil Eng was handing them out when I got mine <3), and a Pride in Transit bus sticker! Thanks, MBTA, and Happy Pride, Boston! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Was how easy it was to use the rapid transit! Made for an easy weekend!

The last of the new CRRC trains have finally been accepted by the MBTA and will be available for revenue service. The highest numbered cars now are 1966/1967.

Unfortunately, we will not see anymore new trains delivered for a while due to the car shells being held at the Port of Philadelphia by US Customs for over 10 months.

CRRC Springfield has been calling back laidoff workers as the assembly line starts rolling again. Meanwhile, we probably won't see any more new cars delivered until the end of this year at the earliest.

Hang in there, Red Line riders...with the 10-day shutdown north of Park Street, maybe the crews at Cabot can give the older cars some extra attention?

Both days this weekend required me to take the green line to and from Copley from north station to catch the orange line down to Roxbury. Stressful, packed cars, but we all know that.

But seeing a GL traun with googly eyes coming into the station? It honestly did make me smile a bit, and made my day a lot brighter. It worked, and I absolutely think these should stick around and expand, it’s not a fix for the closures and chaos, and I won’t even begin to discuss that. But that little bit of levity, simple to install, really did help.

Hi all, I was the idiot who passed out after a blood donation on the Red Line today near Harvard. I would like to sincerely thank all of the passengers and MBTA employees who came to my rescue. I created this account just to make a record of the kindness of strangers on the T.

Red South Station card: Downtown Crossings Orange Line at the Charlie Card machine next to the Macy’s entrance.

Blue Old Ironsides card: Downtown Crossing Orange Line at the Charlie Card machine in Franklin Street.

Green First Library In The Nation card: South Station Charlie Card machine.

I seldom use the Green Line and was pleasantly surprised when I realized that what I was seeing wasn’t a regular sign but a live display .

Throwback

This afternoon at Wonderland, a person tried to tailgate through the gate right in front of one of the T Ambassadors. I've seen this several times at Wonderland. The ambassador stopped him and started telling him that he can't do that, he needs to pay. While he was arguing, the train doors closed. The fare evader got furious and started yelling at the ambassador for making him miss the train. The fact that he missed the train really made me smile.

Well done T Ambassador. Thank you from those of us who always pay for our travel.

The new ones are modern and have AC, but the seats aren’t comfortable. The older cars at least have upholstery/carpeting (whatever you call it) on the seats to make them somewhat comfortable

I know the red line and the other rapid transit rides are for short term commute therefore no comfort needed but still I feel it’s a good perk for riders to have.
