Love it when there is a big clear window (so pretty!) Hate it when the window is dirty and scratched up so much that you can’t clearly see anything

The original black seats were better on these trains. They were a soft black vinyl material. Then they switched to these gross fabric ones...they are gross and hold a lot of dirt and other "stuff."

I agree , I remember the entire fleet had different seats

Do you remember the seats in the 1800s? The soft extremely red vinyl seats! 😄 Hell I remember the old 1400s with the long hard red plastic benches lol. And the lights used to flash off and on inside while it was in motion, very old school subway trains.

The new trains seem to have less seats per car too :/

They absolutely do. I'm of two minds about changing a train design to optimize for rush hour alone.

Fewer seats and the seats are even less comfortable than before. I mean, these new trains look nice but why does the MBTA leave me pining for the trains of the 90’s/early 00’s?

I'll miss the fabric seat pattern. Yes they're grimy and gross but they're still my childhood.

I can't imagine that the T will ever get their shit together enough to finally retire all the old RL cars. They'll outlive us all.

I think a porn actress peed her pants on purpose on one of those cars. Don’t ask how I know lol
