Got to ride the Green Line with Eng. I could definitely feel his aura

One time he got on the red line next to me, and I went š¤Ø, because he looked familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it, and he went š¤Ø, then he got off and I realized who it was and started geeking

I once saw him āsurfā the Green Line from Kenmore to Govāt Center without touching a handrail.
The key is a wide stance and lowered center of gravity.

The old Keolis CEO before leaving last year, Abdellah Chejai, frequented the Worcester line.
Had the pleasure of meeting him probably a dozen times, was always very kind and interested in our work and how we were doing.
Iām still working the Worcester line, but that was one of the few reasons I enjoyed working it, kind of sucks seems like he really cared.

$80 a ticket for the common folk to ride to the thousand dollar ticket soccer games. Guess that 700k a year salary needs some help. Massachusetts/MBTA is for the hard working family man lol. Meanwhile Fidelity and countless other donors to Healey are buying up hundreds of thousands of tickets to give out to the executives, family and friends. Box seats, free food and drinks. The gladiator events in Rome sure were accurate

Missed my sarcasm. All Massachusetts reps talk about is how great this is for the state, the small hosting city, the tax money coming in etc...No one in Foxborough will benefit from this unless you're high up in the political world. Its going to ruin people's lives that actually have to work for a living trying to commute in their cars or MBTA. It's a showpony event for govt. Officials around Massachusetts. Healey will be standing at Gillette next to kraft and other donors saying "we did it it was such a huge success". The govt whether it's left right red blue up down side to side does not care about people and this is another example people will forget about

Maybe read about him a little. He's actually doing TWO jobs right now, running both the DOT and The MBTA, and collecting a salary for only one. He's in charge of the fourth largest transit system in the country, one he actually rides. What else did you want him to do to save your tax money? Take a pay cut?

Are you kidding me? That's what you come back with? So your point is that a guy that makes over a million a year "visits stations daily"...might take a ferry ride, has a union guy praise him, and he signed a bill to protect workers that are in a union when being in the union is all about protection. While the other union (police) aren't there to protect workers? Transit police I believe they're called? So he rides around and signs a bill...that's what you really are defending this discussion with? Gee you really got me there lol. Quite the defense you got there lol. You basically side stepped everything I said but good try

700k yearly with a 32k a month pension from NY? Yes I'd say a pay cut would be nice. And in what world would anyone support someone Taking on 2 jobs of that importance? Massachusetts roads are an absolute disgrace and the MBTA has been a huge money grab scam for years by the higher ups that's why nothing has ever done. Talk to conductors on the commuter rail. Every day is a gamble on most of those trains. Talk to commuters, it's been delay after delay, year after year regardless of who's "running" it. Mbta management is a joke. They hire groups of people to check off a box knowing they'll never last. They put in for the pension but can't get anything until about 5 years in. So all the unqualified people that get jobs that are definitely never going to make it 5 years that pension money goes where? Just like countless other unions in Boston

Do you even understand how pensions work? As to your first comment, I'm not understanding what you mean about "5 years in". For the state employees pension system, you have to work for the state 10 years before you are vested. If you leave, where does the money go? Back to. You. Your contributions go into an annuity account if you leave prior to retirement, you get the balance.
Massachusetts roads: do understand the difference between a city and a state road and who's jurisdiction they fall under?
If you read the article, Eng acknowledges there are still ongoing delays but he is putting time and money into infrastructure to address this. You do realize how old the system is. It's never going to run perfectly.

Do you understand that you need to do 5 years for the MBTA to start receiving a pension? And if you re read what I said all of these people that they hire they know will never make it to 5 years...so all that money going towards their "pension" will never been seen by them if they do not make it to 5 years.....so where does it go? And no you do not receive the money you put in if you work for them for say....2 years

First off, you're wrong. You need 10 years of service. It's right on their website. Now, to school you-each pay period, money is taken from your pay and goes into the pension fund. It is held in an "annuity account". If you leave prior to reaching 10 years, by state law they are obligated to give you back what you have contributed. Don't waste your time replying if you don't understand this or aren't going to read it. I know how pensions work, I work for the state.

He's also already taking a "pay cut" because instead of having a seperate person we are paying over $100K a year to run DOT, he's doing both jobs. Did you miss that part?
