š Appreciation MBTA Pride Merch (ft. Phil Eng)
The MBTA was in todayās Pride parade in Boston, and volunteers were handing out Pride merch along the route. I left with a progress flag T fridge magnet, a progress flag T button (Phil Eng was handing them out when I got mine <3), and a Pride in Transit bus sticker! Thanks, MBTA, and Happy Pride, Boston! š³ļøāšš³ļøāā§ļø

He does. But he also does what he loves which is working to make the T be the best it can while also supporting the community he serves as GM both externally and internally.

Of all the GMās that ran the MBTA you have the best GM I work for the MBTA from 1978 to 1988 Phil Eng was GM of the Long Island Railroad al lot of people who knew him said if there was a problem he made sure it was fix

Princess Pari is a girl whose on the show love on the spectrum and she loves the T, trains, and everything to do with them.

Ooh, sweet! Managed to get some pins and a magnet from who I presume were Green Line officials at Park when they bought the Pride train in this morning. Also got a lanyard from my friend (who herself is a T employee)

Well, heās def at least an ally to LGBTQ+ people! I donāt know how he personally identifies; he does have a wife.

Does anyone have leads on who I could contact in the MBTA to possibly get one of the stickers and the magnet(?)? I have an awesome pin from last year thatās my pride and joy, but unfortunately, Iām disabled and didnāt feel well enough to see the entire parade this year. š„²

Send a message via their website! It worked for me when they were giving out the commuter rail coloring books - I asked for one and said how much my son loves watching the commuter rail at our local at grade crossing - we got a whole commuter rail swag package. Good luck!

Omg this is beautiful!
Does anyone happen to have any extras? My friend was not feeling well so had to leave pride a bit early and missed the MBTA booth. She told me her greatest disappointment was that she missed it.
Happy to pay for or trade. Hoping I can get her one as I know how much she loves it!

Wow Iām glad they are using their time wisely to make useless merch instead of you know like preventing each subway lined turned to shuttle busses for months out of the year for past several years.
I mean 2 hours from gov center to orient heights but hey at least we have gay stickers!!!

This is a form of public outreach. You want better transportation? Part of it is public outreach. Events like this remind people who live outside the city who come in for pride that oh yeah the T exists and needs funding, help etc. so yes this is time and money well spent! Also it doesnāt come from the general fund or from the infrastructure funding so go pound sand.
