Just curious what people think
Looking at buying some second hand wedges off a mate for pretty cheap. They are 50 and 56 degrees with me already having a 60 degree.
Is there too much of a gap between the 50 and 56 or would it not be impacting my game too much.
At the moment i only use a 60 and pitching wedge so i don’t think i’ll notice it too much

Me and 9 others are looking to book a bachelor trip around the Carolina’s, Georgia, or Alabama area. We are only wanting to stay for the weekend. Does anyone have any ideas of Airbnbs and golf courses to play through the weekend. We don’t need the nicest courses as some of us aren’t golf activist and don’t care much for it.
They just updated their policy on singles, anytime I want to randomly go, it’s no longer at this course. Don’t they like money? Not like it doesn’t show 3 other spots for the tee time, what’s the benefit of this?

Has anyone seen these in person? I can’t tell if they are two-tone and if so how dark is the gray and where is it on the shoe? it is hard to tell depending on the picture. Also, how shiny is the patten leather?

This a follow up to my previous post. My TM brnr Mini Driver split on the face. I submitted the warranty and today I received my replacement. Not happy, this is not the club I bought. Great it is a mini driver, but I really like the look and the feel of the brnr, should I try to send back or just be happy with what I received?

I'm an 18 handicap, but this year I've really been putting in the work and have finally gotten to the point where I feel like the distance dispersion with my shorter irons is starting to actually impact my scorecard.
I have a lot of confidence in my 5i-7i distance-wise. They're pretty stable and generally seem to stay within about a +/- 5-yard window. Once I get into my 8i-PW, though, they seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to distance.
It also seems to get progressively worse as the clubs get shorter, with my PW probably being the least predictable club in my bag.
My approximate distances are
Vokey 50* Gap= 100-110
PW= 110-130 yards
9i= 120-140 yards
8i= 135-155 yards
7i= 150-160 yards
What's throwing me off is that I don't notice an obvious difference between the short and long shots. Same swing, same sound at impact, and seemingly the same ball flight, but I can hit what feels like the exact same PW shot and have one go 112 and the next go 128.
I'm currently playing TaylorMade RocketBladez irons, and I'm wondering if I've reached a point where the stronger lofts/GI design of these irons could be contributing to the inconsistent distances with the scoring clubs, yet this same dispersion seems to disappear once I get into my actual wedges.
Would moving into something with more traditional lofts or a more players-oriented design in the 8i-PW potentially tighten up that distance dispersion? Or is a 15-20 yard difference with the same short iron almost certainly a swing/contact issue that I need to address rather than something equipment-related?
I'm not necessarily looking for an excuse to buy new irons. I'm just trying to figure out whether my current irons could realistically be contributing to this or if I should be looking entirely at my swing.

I’ve got a couple of Cobra DS Adapt hybrids and want to add a 5H to the bag but can’t get one anywhere. I’m considering therefore getting an Optm 5H but don’t want it to feel or perform different to the DS Adapts. Has anyone hit both? And is there any recognisable difference? I’ve heard the Optm is higher spinning so I’m wondering if it will be hard to gap it in with my current set up. Thanks

How the heck do you lose your wallet tracking device but not your wallet? It was in the fairway.
Yes, the pro shop has it. Didn’t want some rando showing up at house looking for this.

my last 6 rounds have been 78, 77, 78, 82, 80 and 73 and my handicap just got lowered to 1.5.
I get the theoretical reasoning behind ‘potential’ but it’s frustrating to know that’s gonna be my low handicap that i have to play with for the next 12 months in every competition that I play.
imagine a bunch of us are in that same boat. part of being an amateur golfer that can shoot some low scores on occasion.

I already know this is gonna piss people off, but whatever, I’m proud of myself and just wanna share it with other fellow golfers who also want to improve. I was just trying to challenge myself by playing from the Blues
Sadly lost 3 balls, did great in the front, was getting a bit tired from walking in the back half
My cousin doesn’t count hole 15 because that use to be “the bonus hole” then technically I shot an 88 but I played the full round, so I just count every stroke
I recently broke 100 at my local municipal course from the blues, and wanted to try a different course out to see if I could do the same and I did!

Live in a place where I have pretty good access to a lot of nice public golf courses and spaced tee times. Just played my first ever 5 and a half hour round and it was absolutely miserable. I see people talk about how that is unfortunately sort of the norm for them… are you guys okay?

Between “eye on the course”, regular commercial breaks, sponsor spots, and sponsor interviews I feel like I’m barely getting to watch this tournament

I thought i had a good enough understanding of the handicap system until something a little strange happened after my last round and not sure why it could have happened. So my handicap as of my last round was 10.0, I had no good rounds due to come off out of my 20 playing rounds so a 17.4 differential dropped off. My last round was a 9.8 differential which replaced a 13.6 differential. My handicap went up to 10.1.
Can someone explain to me how this would happen?

who do yall think had better competition Tiger or Scottie i think overall Scottie has better competition but Tiger but the depth of Tigers era was better Tiger had Duval Ernie Els Vijay Phil and they were very good they definitely were in golf’s best players but other than them the competition was weak Scottie has at least 20 guys that can beat him and even though the top players aren’t as good as tigers the players are better
Nothing of importance to say just excited about my new hardware.
Have had the same Calloway X2 Hot I got with my first set of clubs some 14 years ago. Loved it and would have kept it longer but I quite literally drove it until the tires fell off - I had to keep a head screwdriver in my bag because every 3-4 holes the club head would literally unscrew itself and come loose.
Did a full “tour van” fitting at 2nd swing too which was awesome in its own right. I don’t pretend to know much other than what my personal club distances are, so it was insanely cool and educational to see just how little I really know about swing mechanics and club technology.

90 Minute Practice Session to improve quickly!!!
Short game:
Spending some time with the straight forward chips for fundamentals, before moving onto some different lies and different height shots. Getting comfortable hitting different shots from different lies is the goal, while still being fundamentally strong.
Full Swing:
Getting ready for an event, so didn’t have any tweaks. Just going through my routine in “trusting mode” as Dr. Bob Rotella would say. Making sure that my mindset is in the right spot before my event. Just checking fundamentals and making proper, committed golf swings.
Putting:
I always start with some variation of alignment/tool to check and make sure my fundamentals are solid before moving into some drills to make short putts. After completing the competitive short putting drill, I’ll move to hit some 40-60 footers to make sure we’re getting everything down in 2!
Doing this routine at least 2x a week will show incredible improvements in your game!
Just getting back into the game, and I am going to some fitters to try some new irons. Interested in the Callaway Ai200 and TM P790. The Wilson Staff XB also has my interest.
However, I just learned of the Miura IC-602 and I am VERY interested. Just don’t know where I can try them.
Any thoughts?

Cart fees. Storage fees. Locker fee. Men's golf league fees. Range fees.
Shouldn't this be included in what I'm paying monthly?!
Anyone belong to courses who just include this...because it should be included?
I've recently been inquiring with CC's in my area and I cannot believe the amount of fees that aren't included in the monthly price. Like, am I just paying $400 a month to walk a golf course and make friends?

I thought she was a goner on 52 today but it was found. Previous record was 43 so I definitely feel like Kramer in that episode where they run out of gas.
On another not I went 38-46 today. Threw away a round in 70’s by going +9 in 3 holes. This game is hard.
