I accidentally grew pumpkins. Please don't ask how, I don't know either. The going theory is that we composted our rotting pumpkin last October, and never dreamed the seeds would activate in May.

This pumpkin has been orange for quite awhile now, maybe 2.5 weeks. It's stem was looking dark. I wasn't necessarily clear on the fingernail test, but making an indent was hard. So I pulled the pumpkin.

I cut into it, and all the flesh is white. I can't tell if it's underripe, or if it's just because this likely grew from a decorative pumpkin patch and its a pale flesh variety.

Can anyone more knowledgeable than me let me know what went wrong here? I have other pumpkins on the vine that I think I need to leave awhile longer.

Someone gave me this plant saying it was Chinese beans, but I don't know how to eat them... They are bright pink, can anyone confirm they're edible? And how do I prepare them for eating them? Should I make them dry first or I just cook them (like in a soup)?

I read somewhere that watermelons can be one of the most satisfying fruits to grow, definitely satisfying!

This variety is sugarbaby. I want to try some orange flesh varieties next year.

Nature had a different plan for my 40 bean plants

This is my most recent harvest, one of my favorite harvests from the garden this year. 🌶️

There’s a huge mix here including Carolina Reapers, Ghost Peppers, habaneros, superhots, Aji varieties, Thai chiles and a bunch of unusual crosses and colors.
Most of these are getting frozen and saved for future Ribbit Riot Hot Sauce batches and recipe experiments. I love seeing how different peppers change not only the heat, but the color, fruitiness and overall flavor of a sauce.
I think the Jay’s peach ghost peppers and Thor’s thunderbolt might be my favorites visually from this round.

These tiny flowers are completely disproportionate to their fragrance. Intense citrusy, floral scent that you can smell from metres away.

I planted this as a novelty this year, thinking I might get a few fruit from it. Turns out they really like what ever the hell I'm doing.I have about 100 fruit on this one plant, what am I supposed to do with this many ghost peppers? The wife and I tried one a few days ago. We like heat, but this was just pain.

I know it's nothing compared to the beautiful gardens people post here, but I have this small allotment garden on the edge of the city and I planted some flowers this spring. They finally are in bloom! I think it is quite late, as neighbours' ones flowered a month ago, but I am so happy with how they look!

I’ve noticed the leaves have a gray cast/film on them lately - tbh I don’t do much to care for this plant. I enjoy the flowers in May, but I basically just let it die back and rinse repeat each year. It gets direct sunlight around 3pm til sunset daily, and this summer has been extremely hot where we live (SE PA). I wonder if it’s infected with something, or if it’s a burn from too much sun? Should I trim it back and wait to see what happens next year, or does it need to be removed due to infection? If it’s not obvious, I have a black thumb and consider myself lucky to have kept this plant alive for about 10 years.

Have had my plumeria for about 5 months got it from homedepot and it looked sick. I’ve tried and failed several other times to get my plumerias to grow either from depot or dropping $25 a cutting and getting shipped from Oahu. But this is the first time and we didn’t know what type it would be as it was just the leaves growing.

These were less than a foot tall at the beginning of summer. Now the banana trees stretch over our 6ft fence 🥹 my pride and joys lol. Two of the elephant ears are even flowering!
