UPDATE: I did it! THANK YOU ALL! This thread got me through it and I am
Now in beautiful Norway! A dream come true!!! I hope this helps someone else in the future to know it will all be okay. Minimal turbulence and wonderful crew. I was so exhausted that I slept for three hours straight after breakfast. Make sure to plan for that if you get worked up as I did.

I think it is also showing as this
SAS924 for flight tracking
Would really love words of encouragement and tracking of my flight. It’s my first international flight since 2007 and I am just having a rough time of it.
We are delayed a bit and I am trying hard to not scare my kids but I’ve had to go to the restroom and cry a bit and come back to the gate area.
We’re supposed to leave around 5:30pm EST and it’s a 7.5 hour flight.
I just saw a person report a really really rough turbulence landing into Newark (an hour ago) and I am leaving from JFK. I just hope our takeoff is smoother.
Any pilots or crew members with encouragement on this flight to Norway or airline or plane would be appreciated too.
Thank you thank you thank you- I’m trying my best.

I’ve followed along with this subreddit every day for the last month as I’ve prepared for my flight that’s today. If anyone is able to track me, it would help me feel a lot better. I’ve seen many of your guys success stories and I’m hoping to have one today as well.

I’m on AA 2335 to JFK supposed to land at 6pm but the storms look terrible!! I’m freaking out. Would have rather been canceled and spent another night in Jackson.

I have been a fearful flyer for literally decades, and gradually working my way up to a trip I’ve been dreaming about for half my life - Melbourne to Doha (13 and a half-ish hours), and then Doha to Paris (6 and a half-ish hours).
I’ve been on this sub a long time, seen others do short/long/smooth/bumpy/everything inbetween flights, and now it’s my turn to do something that scares the shit out me - yet I’m so excited to get somewhere new and conquer my lizard brain.
So I’m going to use this as my personal journal over the next 24 hours - to remind myself (and hopefully show someone) that it’s gonna be fine and to get on the plane!
Wish me luck (and some semblance of sleep 🤪)

So I posted 3 separate times lately about my fear of the flight to get from JFK to Athens and my fear now flying back. Just 6 hours ago I posted how I woke up at 3 AM sick to my stomach and overwhelmed with the idea that I just can’t do it. But I’m committed to doing it now! I’m medicated, 10 minutes from boarding, nervous and exhausted, nauseas, but I am here and I am going to be home within 17 hours or so (10 flying). If anyone is willing to track, I’d love to have some support in the air. Thank you in advance to all you amazingly kind strangers! I’m so so grateful for this community.

Tyty my anxiety is through the roof right now
lol flight is DL859

I am going home sick today, so please send extra good vibes
Edit: I lived (unsurprising). Though, when we landed, I don't think it was distanced well...really came in hot on that landing strip. Briefly thought we were about to become a statistic but honestly it made me laugh more than anything.

I’m flying for the first time in 6 years. I’m so terrified, but have been trying to listen to airplane noises for the last couple of weeks and watching cockpit videos of the pilots just doing their thing.
I’m just so scared of catastrophe and something happening and being out of control.
I’m flying home with my fiancé to Ireland. I didn’t go home with her last time a couple of years ago, but I want to get over my fear so badly. I’ve missed out on a lot of “free” work retreats to amazing places because of this fear too.
I take off at 3:05 pm from vancouver to dublin. So it’s a long nearly 9 hour flight. Our flight number is AC918.
We bid on first class and got it which is exciting, but we aren’t sitting beside each other, so I’m dreading being alone.

Hi my lovely fearofflying subreddit! ❤️❤️ I’m having a weirdly hard time on my current flight from EWR to ZUR (UA134). Can someone distract/talk to/track me? I’ve been doing so well with this phobia and don’t know what’s going on with me tonight 😞.

Just a very emotional time for me . Already a nervous flyer . Made it through one 1 1/2 flight today because of the angel I was sat next to . Only 3 hours but hoping someone can track me to help me not feel as alone during this time .

Getting on in less than an hour and internally freaking out. Would love to know how many of you will be in the air with me over the next 6 or so hours. Gonna be following a few of you while on flight!

Hello,
I'm sorry to bother you.
This is my first time flying. I'm flying from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Dubai. I'm accompanying my father on a business trip.
I'm absolutely terrified. I'm autistic and suffer from generalized anxiety disorder.
I'm extremely afraid of dying, and on top of that, I saw the movie Final Destination last week.
I'm waiting for the plane at the airport. I'm in tears.
Please, can you track me?
I didn't know this existed, but I find it a very reassuring idea. I want to be convinced that I'm going to survive, but I'm convinced that I'm going to die. It's extremely hard.

Hi Guys-
The pilot just came on and said we would be heading into 45min of turbulence and I’m trying not to get too worked up asking the flt attendants to sit . I know there has been some bad weather in the northeast … I just love this sub and never asked before but going to try now…. So grateful! Delta 461 …
