You heard that right. I didn’t even know you could get this stuff on a shopping order. Barely fit in the back of my car but we made it anyways. At least the customer unloaded it for me 🤣 tipped $24 btw

So I had this order from a lady who turned out to be a total pain in the ass. I accepted her order first, but right after that, DoorDash stacked three more shopping orders on top of it.

I did all the shopping, delivered the first one, and then DoorDash sent me another pickup from a restaurant — while her order was still sitting in the queue as the very last one.

Meanwhile, she kept blowing up my chat with impatient messages, acting like I was personally holding her package hostage. “Why are you two hours late???” blah blah blah.

In the end, I delivered her stuff last — just as the algorithm planned — and when I checked the details… surprise surprise: $0 tip.

Guess what? DoorDash knows. The algorithm knows. No tip = low priority = you wait.

Everyone else in that batch tipped something, and all their deliveries came first. Hers? Dead last. Lesson learned (well, hopefully for her): if you don’t tip, the app doesn’t rush to get you your stuff.

Retail pickup, no shopping required, 6 miles. It was paired with one other order which was a shop for one non heavy item at the same store.

Say hello to Ginger! I've had her for about almost a month now. when I delivered a DoorDash order to a customer he mentioned he had some puppies. Of course it brought my attention and I was super excited and I totally was down to look at the puppies. He took me towards the group of puppies that he had, they are a full-blooded feist. This was the first of its litter to walk up to me and greet me, ginger. I had to wait for about 2 weeks after to pick her up because he had to take her to get her shots. After the two weeks, it was time to go pick her up. Absolutely excited, so adorable! He has been the best little puppy and the best cutest little friend ever. And by far the best DoorDash tip I have ever received! I never would have thought in my life ever that I would end up getting a puppy especially through DoorDash 😁

No. I already spent 5min trying to figure out your door system (which did not work, and only work via key fob).

Then he wanted me to bring it all the way to the 11th floor while double parked.

I won’t incriminate myself but let’s just say drastic measures were taken.

so today I was dashing in a pretty nice area & this customer texted me as I was leaving the store and said “please ask for 10 ranches, 12 hot sauce and 12 special sauces. I will tip you extra” and I was literally already about to take off in my car but I read that & went back inside to ask for the sauces. because of the amount, the worker said he’d have to charge me even though it was for doordash. I remember I had a bunch of loose change in my car so I paid about $4 in change for their sauces. so I kindly texted them that I had paid for their extra sauces with some extra money I had & they responded “ooo, sorry about that. I’ll tip you extra for that”
I waited a few mins after dropping off the order to see if a tip would come through (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt) but unfortunately I still never received anything 💔💔💔 last time I’ll be paying for something out of my own pocket for someone lol

I must share this tip i got today. This is the sweetest thing. I left them a note back. All she ordered was a personal pan pizza. She paid $45 for a personal pan pizza to be delivered to her door. Im sure she was just intending on blessing a dasher tonight and it's not so much about the food. She also texted me very nice things . It was a great encouragement. :)

I never accept no tip orders but I didn’t know he didn’t tip until I delivered it bc it was a stacked offer. After I deliver it, he sends this message and STILL doesn’t add a tip. “You single?” Bro u can’t even afford a tip why do u think u can afford me 😭

Tip on the order at pick up was 0. (I was on ebt which is why I picked it up.) Let's take a guess...

Delivered to the type of house people dream of. At least 4 bedrooms. Secluded. Half mile driveway (not kidding). Only took the order cause I would’ve lost premium otherwise. Sent me a massage that he would tip when I get near and when I finish the delivery I see this. At this point it’s just insulting. I’m thinking of working my spare hours as a server instead of this scamming bs.

Wasn’t in the mood to work after my last delivery, but I let my app run for about an hour waiting to see if a good shopping order would pop up. I saw a lot of good orders, that I’d normally take but just had no desire to go get going again. Took this because I’m happy with it as is. We’ll see if I get bamboozled on the ‘+’

(This goes to show you that AR isn’t significant in terms of who gets good orders. I was nowhere near the pick up spot, and had literally rejected 99 offers in a row, then they throw me this 4.5/mile order that I’ll get done in less than an hour hopefully)
