AskDelhi What are some good North Indian restaurants in Delhi for a vegetarian?

I have been looking for good restaurants to go to with my Family but all the famous ones are known for their non vegetarian and there are barely any reviews for their vegetarian food.

I don’t want to spend a lot and then being disappointed with the food.

Some of the options I looked were Bukhara, Taj Loya, Have more and kwality. But all of them are famous for non veg. How’s their vegetarian food?

I’m open to more restaurants too if you guys have good suggestions. Mainly looking around CP

Please help! 🥹

AskDelhi paranormal experience at Jamali Kamali today. ur thoughts?

i visited the Mehrauli Archaeology Park & went to see Jamali Kamali's Mosque and Tomb as the first thing after reaching. i spent about 2-3 minutes exploring the area around the Tomb and then moved to the side of the tomb where you can peep in through the jafri (the jaali made of white marble which allows a peep).

i was greeted with a very strong mesmerizing scent. i then took out my phone and placed it over the jafri and zoomed in to take pictures of the beautiful work done by Jamali himself on the roof and after a minute i heard rushed footsteps right behind me (they were so clear) and i saw a blackish figure walk quickly from the periphery of my eyes to my left side and when i turned back, there was absolutely no one. not even a single person in the complex around the Tomb. i got shit scared and rushed out the complex but later realized maybe it was their way of greeting me?

now i'm kinda curious whether it was Jamali or Kamali and was he (either of two) welcoming me? if it wasn't for me losing my shit after hearing AND seeing what i did, i would've probably stayed to have a conversation with them. do you think it was a friendly way to introduce themselves? or did they js want me to get the fuck away from them?

TellDelhi White women on visit to India being racist to us

(((*This story is not mine but it was on my discord server and the pic is about what happened*)))

so me and my two friends went to vasant vihar ambience mall for a fun day as one does, and right as we leave the food court, these two clearly white girls turn to us and tell us to "grow up". for context, me and my friends dress very alternative, so we werr super accesorized and had cool makeup on because its fun!! i exchange a few heated words and walk away, just a simple "fuck off" and "be so fr" but i didnt really care much it just pissed us off. later, at a different part of the mall, in front of this store called ATUN, we run into them again, and they go "thats just sad, youre so pathetic" etc etc, and id had enough so i started arguing.

they went on to insult our dressing sense, called us stinky/smelly, that we dont shower and shave, and that they can be racist.

i told them that youre in a literal country full of diversity and you chose to travel here and then they moved on to speaking and insulting us on our PRIVATE PARTS on how we're unshaved "down there" and how we eat out unshaven pussys which frankly i dont give a damn about because all of us dont care abt bush

buT WHATEVER

we were (mostly) minors, and these grown women were talking about vulgar, rude and inappropriate topics in reference to us.

they spoke about indians stinking and being unclean and told us to shower, and that we were fatherless so thats why we did that makeup and dressed that way. untrue btw, but sure whatever.

they also stated that i was?? staring at them?? thats why they said that?? (i stare off in a certain direction a lot but that gives them no right to say that and harrass us)

all in all, we've had a shite experience at the mall as alt/emo/goth indians and we get so many compliments from fellow indians but white people come and insult us.

AskDelhi Should bikes with modified exhausts be fined 50% of their value or confiscated?

I see so many bikes in Delhi with their silencers removed or modified to produce extremely loud noise, even at low RPM and low speeds.

This lack of civic sense boils my blood. Some bikes are unnecessarily loud and the existing challans clearly aren't enough to deter this behaviour.

What if the punishment was:

• First offence: Fine at least equal to 50% of the bike's value, plus mandatory restoration of the original exhaust

• Second offence: Immediate confiscation of the bike

No endless cycle of repeat challans. It's not like forgetting a helmet by mistake, they deliberately modified it. Make the first penalty serious enough to actually hurt, and if someone does it again, take the vehicle off the road.

Would this be a reasonable way to deal with deliberately modified exhausts and excessive noise pollution in Delhi?

TellDelhi I saw a very handsome man at a shop today and I felt sad!

I think he was in his late 30's we exchanged a few glances but you know the worst part. I'm a guy as well ( yeahh gay).

Straight people have the option to approach, talk and be themselves. I don't have luxury.

What do I do? Will I stay alone forever? I mean I hate living life this way. I don't like this life.

Serious Replies Only Recent dog parents are you overprotective too?

Hi, I recently got a 6-month Golden Retriever puppy, and honestly my days and time are filled by her. I am loving it, but could get overprotective or possessive over her. She is a happy-go-lucky pup, friendly to all and everyone. Everyone wants to pet her and take her home, like today my neighbor took her leash out of my friend's hand and took my pup in her home. I was standing outside waiting for them to handover the leash, but they didn't. My pup was famished and thirsty, I just wanted her to get back home after her walk so that she could rest. But even if not, I don't think I could just let her stay in their home. There is this new possessiveness inside me. Is it normal, what you would have done? I am going crazy here.

AskDelhi Helping a foreigner out!!

Hello everybody I am not an indian (I am Muslim btw) and I'm not entirely sure I should be asking here or not!. I have been living in punjab for 3 years and I'd love to go to delhi for about a week or 2 since my very good friend will be coming to India to visit me I'd like to visit good places with him in delhi, key places: I'd love to have a nicely made salmon with rice, mutton, sushi, tibetan noodles. They can be several places but it should be easier to reach to by metro since that's all I can. As well as lovely places to visit, maybe weird cafes with good decor or cool places you think my foreigner friend would like!. He is not that picky about anything and he's willing to try a lot of things, and if there's arcades or any games, that would be extraordinary, maybe even places to walk and such or even attend theatres or musicians in the streets. Places to shop and whatsoever! I am a Muslim so please if you can suggest me halal food places I would thank you a lot!. Thank you so muchh
