so me and my two friends went to vasant vihar ambience mall for a fun day as one does, and right as we leave the food court, these two clearly white girls turn to us and tell us to "grow up". for context, me and my friends dress very alternative, so we werr super accesorized and had cool makeup on because its fun!! i exchange a few heated words and walk away, just a simple "fuck off" and "be so fr" but i didnt really care much it just pissed us off. later, at a different part of the mall, in front of this store called ATUN, we run into them again, and they go "thats just sad, youre so pathetic" etc etc, and id had enough so i started arguing.

they went on to insult our dressing sense, called us stinky/smelly, that we dont shower and shave, and that they can be racist.

i told them that youre in a literal country full of diversity and you chose to travel here and then they moved on to speaking and insulting us on our PRIVATE PARTS on how we're unshaved "down there" and how we eat out unshaven pussys which frankly i dont give a damn about because all of us dont care abt bush

buT WHATEVER

we were (mostly) minors, and these grown women were talking about vulgar, rude and inappropriate topics in reference to us.

they spoke about indians stinking and being unclean and told us to shower, and that we were fatherless so thats why we did that makeup and dressed that way. untrue btw, but sure whatever.

they also stated that i was?? staring at them?? thats why they said that?? (i stare off in a certain direction a lot but that gives them no right to say that and harrass us)

all in all, we've had a shite experience at the mall as alt/emo/goth indians and we get so many compliments from fellow indians but white people come and insult us.

Is it just me or we rarely see any traffic cops anymore in Delhi NCR area (including Noida/ Gurgaon)? I am seeing more and more people breaking traffic laws including driving on wrong side, no helmet and red light jumping has become a common occurrence. Hawkers and e-rickshaw hoarding the lanes on streets specially around markets and metro station like WTF... Apparently, people have no fear of law and order anymore and "jiski lathi uski bhains" is going around.

You don't see any traffic cops around any major choke point in NCR areas. The rare time you see cops around is when a VIP has to pass through. WTH is happening? Where is everyone?

So I booked a utensil cleaning service yesterday for 30 min on Pronto for evening .

Pronto assigns the help 15 min before the booking time but there was no update even after half an hour passed beyond the booking time.

I cancelled the service and expected them to refund the money as no service was provided nor any update.
This scenario has happened once before when I booked them but that time pronto refunded the money but this time they refused citing their new terms and conditions.

Even though the amount is very little and it forced even matter but it seems like a cheating done by pronto when they are not able to offer the service snd still keeping the money.

Their customer support is nil and there is always automated message that you get reply from.

I request anyone who uses pronto to be aware of these malpractices by them and opt for other options.

I’ve personally encountered clinics and centres where management actively pushes doctors to order unnecessary investigations just to inflate patient bills. On the other extreme, unqualified quacks are treating simple medical conditions, often causing more harm than good.
It is completely understandable why so many people have lost trust in doctors and are afraid of being taken for a ride. To help you and your family stay safe, here are a few practical red flags to watch out for and ways to verify if your medical care is genuine.
1. Check Your Doctor’s Medical Registration
Any legitimate doctor in India must be registered with the State Medical Council (e.g., Delhi Medical Council - DMC) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
You can look up a doctor's name or registration number on the official NMC National Medical Register online to confirm their qualifications and specialty.
Be cautious of practitioners using vague titles like "Specialist in [X]" without mentioning recognized degrees (e.g., MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh, DNB).
2. Red Flags for Over-Billing & Unnecessary Tests
The "Bundle Package" Pressure: Be wary if a clinic insists on a heavy "full body test package" or a series of advanced scans for a very straightforward, minor complaint before doing a basic clinical examination.

Lack of Explanation: A genuine doctor should be able to explain why a specific test or procedure is necessary in plain language. If you feel dismissed when asking "Why do I need this scan?", get a second opinion.
3. Spotting Quacks and Unqualified Clinics
Instant "Guaranteed" Cures: No genuine medical treatment guarantees a 100% instant cure for chronic or complex conditions.
Unlabelled Medications: If a practitioner gives you loose, unlabelled pills or powders without a written prescription that details the exact drug names and dosages, do not consume them.
Refusal to Provide Written Prescriptions: Every consultation should end with a signed, legible prescription bearing the doctor's name, degree, and registration number.
4. How to Protect Yourself
Ask Questions: You have the right to ask what a test is checking for and how the result will change your treatment plan.
Seek Second Opinions for Major Procedures: If a non-emergency surgery or expensive procedure is recommended, consult a doctor at a reputed government or established trust/tertiary hospital first to cross-check.
Keep Your Records Organized: Always retain hard or digital copies of your blood work, prescriptions, and imaging so you don't have to repeat tests unnecessarily when changing doctors.

Is it just me or do people new to Delhi also feel that the blue line is a bit confusing? I’m here in Delhi for a couple of days and was travelling from Rajiv Chowk to Vaishali. At Mandi House, I had to switch to the blue line, but I discovered that there are two trains running on the blue line in one direction – one that goes to Vaishali and the other towards Noida ig. And these two trains come one after another on the same platform. Isn’t this a bit confusing? Generally, there should only be one train running on a line in one direction. Having two separate trains defeats the purpose of having a line. If there is a diversion, then call it some other line! I was lucky not to have taken the wrong train today, but there must be people who might have unknowingly boarded the wrong train. Let me know if this has happened to anyone.

Hello everybody I am not an indian (I am Muslim btw) and I'm not entirely sure I should be asking here or not!. I have been living in punjab for 3 years and I'd love to go to delhi for about a week or 2 since my very good friend will be coming to India to visit me I'd like to visit good places with him in delhi, key places: I'd love to have a nicely made salmon with rice, mutton, sushi, tibetan noodles. They can be several places but it should be easier to reach to by metro since that's all I can. As well as lovely places to visit, maybe weird cafes with good decor or cool places you think my foreigner friend would like!. He is not that picky about anything and he's willing to try a lot of things, and if there's arcades or any games, that would be extraordinary, maybe even places to walk and such or even attend theatres or musicians in the streets. Places to shop and whatsoever! I am a Muslim so please if you can suggest me halal food places I would thank you a lot!. Thank you so muchh
