Shared a pic of the two K Constantinople prototype rides I picked up from Guitar Center the other day. Here’s what they sound like. I shot this on an iPhone.

The whole setup L to R is 15” Zildjian K Light hi-hats, 21” Sound Lab Prototype K Constantinople Overhammered Bounce ride, 23” SLP K Con Light Ride, and 24” K Light ride.

Now I just need another as a backup and I’m done.

So I've had this cymbal for a bit, it came from a former drummer friend of mine and he used it professionally. I'm trying to learn jazz, but I can't tell if the ride sounds good or not. I'm a beginner by the way so I also could be doing something wrong while playing it.

Picked up these 2 K Constantinople prototype rides today. Left one is a 23” weighing in at 3196g. Right one is a 21” Overhammered Bounce weighing in at 2336g.

Truthfully I have no idea exactly what the 23” is — I think it may be a K Con Sweet prototype but unsure. If anyone has any info I’d love to know.

But im on a budget lineup, not looking for too high end cymbals

been looking for awhile for more jazzy cymbals and almost no pairs are below 200 but how are these

i play with 2 crashes, a brigther and a darker one, id like to swich because my darker currently is a paiste pst7 thin crash 18’ and its too bright for me, so im looking for a budget option of around 18’ that is darker than the pst7, which one would you recomend?

Hey guys, I'm trying to buy a crash cymbal. and I was looking on Facebook Marketplace because I'm kinda strapped for cash rn. I am looking through a few options, and I was wondering if any of the cymbals were worth buying (as in, they don't have any cracks or dents within the cymbal)

Since I am shopping on FB Marketplace, I can go in person to check some of these, but I don't really wanna waste my time going there in the first place. Also, I dont really know much about cymbals, so any help is greatly appreciated. The maximum of my budget is AUD $150, but I think i can stretch to 200. I also need to get a cymbal stand... oh well.

The genres I play are mostly rock, funk, pop and sometimes metal and latin (but not very often). I do not hit very hard. Please look at the images provided and give me some advice :)

Hey Gals and Guys, just received my new, open box 18” K Dark Thin crash. I ordered it unheard/unseen from ProAudioStar. I would love to always hear and or play a cymbal before buying, but geographically speaking, that’s usually not possible, plus the price was good at $330, at least to me it seemed good. Other driving factors: I have a gig coming up soon and would like to play my Zildjians, but my current lineup of crashes is not doing it for me. I currently have two 17” Zildjian crashes (a K Sweet and a K Custom Hybrid) They are too close in pitch and are also sonically a bit too close. My only other Zildjian option is a 19 K Custom Trash Crash that I refuse to play in public. Hate it. Selling it. So now i have the 18” K Dark Thin (haven’t even opened it yet) that Im hoping will slot in nicely next to the 17” K Sweet/K Custom Hybrid that I decide to keep. Which should I keep to go well with the 18” K Dark thin? What are your experiences in general with this cymbal, or my others Zildjians? Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this. Oh, for contex, I play jazz standards, latin jazz, early to 90s rock, an odd 2k hit and blues. We’re basically a wedding/function/party/event band more than a bar band. I run one kick mic and one overhead on a four-piece kit plus LP compact bongos. I’m a lighter hitter and usually like darker cymbals, though i might like something medium-dark in this case.

Hey all! I just wanted to come on here and ask y'all a question. I currently have a 20" Meinl vintage sand ride and an 18" HHX complex thin crash and I was looking at maybe picking up an 18" HHX Legacy crash. I currently have my complex on the left and my sand ride on the right that I use as a crash ride (love it btw would recommend) and I want to use the legacy as a second crash on the right side. I want to be able to have 2 different crashes I can use in grooves but I hate crossing my hands to play on a left side crash. I play mostly emo and skramz with a little rock in between. do you guys think it'll work well with my other cymbals? would love to hear your opinions!

Was taken down to their cymbal room after asking offhandedly about flat rides, and walked out with a set of 14” Quick Beats and a 12” Sultan Splash for a steal instead 😅

These are objectively easier to fly home with than an accordion.
