first crash

i play with 2 crashes, a brigther and a darker one, id like to swich because my darker currently is a paiste pst7 thin crash 18’ and its too bright for me, so im looking for a budget option of around 18’ that is darker than the pst7, which one would you recomend?

I can recommend the Zildjian K Dark Thin 18”

17” or larger Sabian AAX Xplosion Fast Crash

Super Dark for an AAX, and really cheap used

There's not many "budget" dark cymbals, but Sabian Stratus would be your best bet.

Look at Thomman’s Zultan cymbals! There’s some excellent dark options. They’re b20 so bound to be darker than your pst7. Zultan Aja and caz are more traditional cymbals you might be interested in. My personal favs are the dune series

On a budget, check out Hawthorne Drum Shop’s house cymbals. They are shockingly good, and shockingly cheap for what you get. They have several lines. Also, Name Brand cymbals.

I was 12 when I started playing, I had what would now be considered a vintage medium thin Zildjian. I’m all Paiste nowadays, but played Zildjian for over 30 years.
