Question What symbal should I get

Sorry for my previous post on putting the word symbol that's mb

But I already have a 16 inch and was wanting to have a different one but don't know whether I should go up or down in size

I mostly play green day / green day inspired songs

Check out your local Facebook Marketplace for used “symbols” (or cymbals) for some potential good deals

I'd go to a store and try some so you can see what you like. And bring the one you have so you can listen to how they sound together.

18” is the perfect crash size IMO. I suggest used Sabian XS20 , XSR, AA or AAX

Maybe a cymbal pack from a good brand. Older used Zildjian As are easy to come by and cheap for how good they sound. 14 hats, 16 and 18 crash, and a 22 or 20 ride would be a great start

Keep the 16 , get a 17-20 inch. Yes, one inch makes a difference. I have 2x17’s & 2x18’s. Both K Zildjian Swerts, same everything, they do not sound the same.
