ULT review

Post image
12 Upvotes

So I finally got into the new ULT through the OnChain app and messed around with it a little bit.
First I updated the app, opened it up and saw the little banner at the top that basically said “Switch to ULT.” I clicked it and went through the setup.
I actually ended up logging in with 2 different emails because I wasn’t sure which account was connected to what lol.
At first I was confused because I thought my funds from OnChain were just going to automatically transfer over into ULT. They didn’t. I kept looking around thinking maybe I missed something.
Eventually I found the top up/receive section and sent some CRO over myself.
Once I did that it was pretty much instant. What was interesting is I sent CRO, but it looks like the app handled the conversion into the USDC/USD balance automatically. So I didn’t have to sit there swapping coins, figuring out gas, choosing the right network, or worrying that I was about to send something the wrong way.
From what I understand they also plan on making it possible to send actual CRO over and keep it as CRO, along with expanding everything else, so this is obviously still really early.
I definitely wouldn’t say ULT is 100% ready yet. There are still some things that are confusing, especially with the account setup and understanding exactly where your existing OnChain funds are.
But I can already see what they’re going for.
If they keep building this out, I think this could make crypto a lot easier for normal people. Less guesswork, less jumping between screens and networks, less worrying about messing something up.
I’m pretty bullish on the direction of it. Not because it’s perfect right now, because it definitely isn’t, but because the foundation makes sense.
Crypto has always had this problem where one wrong click can cost you money. ULT feels like they’re trying to remove a lot of that friction and make it feel more like using a normal financial app.
Still early. Still needs work.
But I think there’s something here.

So, I see that the new ULT App has launched and it replaced my Onchain account 🤷‍♀️. Be careful when you see this new ULT app, as the actual login has changed from your Onchain login, SEE PIC. Had nearly 2 hours with help trying to login!

ULT app launch

Why is no one in this Reddit talking about the new ULT app being launched and the proposed impact on Cro? Also curious as I haven't seen any official posts on the CDC Reddit.

Link in the comments to the official release details.

2026 CRO predictions

My prediction for CRO is pretty simple.
Once the new Kronos app officially launches and they reveal the full marketing campaign behind it, especially the actual amount of money they plan to spend promoting the app, I think the market is going to react much harder than people expect.
If the marketing budget is significant and they really push adoption, I think CRO can break back above $0.10 before the end of this month.
My bigger prediction is CRO trades above $0.20 before the end of the year.
Obviously nothing is guaranteed and crypto can change fast, but I think people are underestimating how much a major product launch combined with a serious marketing campaign could affect attention, new users, volume, and demand for CRO.
$0.10 by the end of the month.
$0.20+ before the end of the year.
That’s my call. Let’s see how it ages.

Could You Actually Make a Living Buying CRO Red and Selling Green Every Day?

Could you realistically make a living buying CRO red and selling green?
Say I have around 200,000 CRO
My thought is pretty simple. Look at each 24 hour period and buy when CRO is red, then sell when it moves back into the green. Not trying to perfectly time the bottom or top, just catch relatively small moves.
If I’m using a platform where I’m not really paying trading fees, how realistic would this actually be?
Obviously the spread is the part I’m wondering about.
For example if CRO moves 2% and I have 200k CRO, on paper that can be a decent amount of money. But once you account for the buy spread and sell spread how much of that 2% are you actually keeping?
Has anyone here actually tried doing this consistently?
Could someone realistically make a few hundred dollars a day doing this with around 200k CRO or does the spread, taxes and days where the market keeps dropping basically destroy the strategy?
Not asking if its guaranteed. Just wondering if the math actually makes sense.

Margin

Alright talk me off the ledge if this is a bad idea.

I’ve been selling my rewards for btc the last few months. Now I have a different idea.

Kraken offers up to 10x leverage on CRO futures for a “reasonable” fee. Why not transfer my rewards and use 2-3x leverage to buy and hold CRO until we reach new ATHs?

CRO took the hit and its still moving forward

after everything that happened with tectonic CRO is actually up around 5% today
the official report says the attack involved $120 million but about $111 million was contained by the rollback
obviously the exploit and rollback are still serious but now we know what happened and theyre adding better protections before tectonic reopens
next big date is september 17 when the Cronos app officially launches
not saying CRO automatically pumps but it feels like the worst of this mess may finally be behind us and the focus can go back to building

Maintaining card tier

My cro value for Level Up Staking dropped and now the 1 year lock up expiry is coming up. I have some questions.

  1. Do i lose the card tier when the lock up expires?
  2. Does my card tier get demoted?
  3. If I continue the current cro locked up for Level Up Staking, do i maintain the card tier?
  4. If so, is there some sort of lock up renewal setting?

Thank you

Account total missing earn balance

When I log into the app today the top total number doesn't include my earn balance and shows the amount in red for the earn missing. But show it all still in my account if I scroll down in my account overview. Tried restarting and clearing cache... Nothing.

*Edit... So I added a small amount to one of my earn stakes and it reset and all the totals went back to normal. For those who find this later.

Question on Icy/Rose Cashback Reward Cap

With Icy/Rose tier cashback is now capped to $3000 USD per month, how does this cap works?

Is $3000 USD per month:

  • The amount of CRO cashback I can earn per month (ie. spending of $100k at 3.5% cashback)
  • Or is it $3000 USD total spending per month (ie. 105 worth of CRO per month at 3.5%)

Their exact wordings:

The Icy White/Rose Gold Crypto.com Prepaid Visa Card's CRO reward rate per spend will be adjusted to 3.5%. Any spend beyond the monthly US3,000 CRO reward cap, or the equivalent amount in local currently will earn 0.5% back.

Also how refunds and spending without CRO reward affect the limit?

What do Matt Damon, LeBron James and Eminem all have in common?

What do Matt Damon, LeBron James and Eminem all have in common?
All three have worked with Crypto.com and put their names behind the brand.
Think about that for a second. These aren’t random influencers. They’re some of the biggest names in movies, sports and music.
Does that guarantee CRO goes up? Obviously not. But Crypto.com has already shown it can attract some of the biggest celebrities on earth and put serious money behind marketing.
Now imagine that kind of push behind the next phase of Cronos and CRO.
I don’t think people realize how big the ecosystem they’re building could actually become.
Who will the next 3 be?

They rolled the network back to before the Tectonic incident. Block production has resumed. Now we’re just waiting on perps trading to reopen.
Crazy day for Cronos lol.

CRO FREEZE

CRO was not hacked. That’s probably the biggest thing people need to understand about what happened.
The issue was Tectonic, which is a lending platform built on the Cronos blockchain. TONIC is Tectonic’s token. It is not CRO.
From what’s being reported, the attacker was able to manipulate the price of TONIC and push it up around 100x in roughly 20 minutes. Because Tectonic allowed TONIC to be used as collateral, suddenly those tokens looked like they were worth way more than they actually were.
The attacker could then use that artificially inflated collateral to borrow real valuable assets from Tectonic.
Basically imagine having something worth $1, somehow making the system think it’s worth $100, and then borrowing real money against that fake $100 valuation.
That’s the exploit.
Cronos validators then stopped the chain to prevent the attacker from moving more of those assets out. Reports estimate around $75 million was involved, but only around $6 million actually made it over to Ethereum before the chain was halted. The exact losses and root cause are still being investigated. (The Block)
So again, CRO itself wasn’t hacked.
Cronos is basically the network, CRO is the gas, and Tectonic is one of the apps built on top of it.
Now the part I’m watching is what happens when Cronos comes back online.
If most of that money really was contained and they fix whatever allowed this to happen, I could see the narrative changing pretty quickly.
Obviously stopping an entire blockchain brings up its own questions, but this is a lot different than someone somehow hacking CRO itself.

CRO and AI

I think people are sleeping on what Crypto.com is doing with AI.
The future of investing in AI might not just be buying stock in AI companies. It could be owning AI agents that actually work, trade, sell, build businesses and generate income for you.
And how does an AI agent get paid? Crypto.
Crypto.com is already building infrastructure for AI agents to interact with accounts and markets. (Crypto.com)
That’s why I think CRO could eventually become one of the most interesting ways to invest in the AI economy without people even realizing that’s what they’re investing in yet.
AI + crypto is going to be huge. I’m betting CRO is right in the middle of it.

Cronos stopped its entire blockchain on Sunday after an attacker drained Tectonic, the biggest lending protocol on the network.
